  • In this study, the simulations were carried out to show the effect of the EGR configuration in a passenger diesel engine with 2-stage turbocharger on the EGR rate. The AMESim and IFP Engine Library were used to make the program for the simulation. Three EGR configurations, HPL(high pressure loop), LPL(low pressure loop), and SLPL(semi low pressure loop), were considered. The EGR rate in the HPL and LPL EGR routes were 6.4% and 10.0% respectively but the rate in SLPL route was 18.0% and their air/fuel ratio for all three cases was 21. Therefore the SLPL EGR configuration may be positively considered in the design of the passenger diesel engine with 2-stage turbocharger.

  • The purpose of this study was to find the effects of physical activity program on obese young children's body composition and basic motor skills. The physical activity program was conducted with 16 participants whose Kaup Index were higher than 20 were divided into 2 groups(experimental group and control group) for 12 weeks three times a week. Results of the study are as following. First, the physical activity program was found to improve sub-factors of body composition(weight, body fat mass, % body fat, lean body mass and total body water) in the experimental group compared to the control group. There was statistically significant difference between two groups. Second, the physical activity program was found to improve locomotor and manipulation skills of basic motor skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. There was a statistically significant difference between two groups. Based on these results, the physical activity program have positive effects on the changes in obese young children's body composition and basic motor skills.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest faculty status for academic librarians in Korea. This will assure the efficient use of academic librarians as human resources for university libraries. To do this, this study reviewed precedent literaturer. Also, the study looked at qualified academic librarians that could be endowed faculty status. Questionnaires were performed and opinions between professor groups and librarian groups were compared. On every question, the two groups responded positively although there were some differences in agreement level on the above questions. Endowing faculty status to academic librarians, who work in university libraries, acts as a motivation, will help to increase the ability of librarians, and increase service quality. This will eventually contribute developing better education and research.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between golf leader trust, exercise flow and psychological happiness for golf practice users. This study surveyed 256 golfers. The data were used to examine the causal relationship between variables using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Main findings were as follows: First trust of Instructors had a positive effect on exercise flow. Second, exercise flow had a positive effect on psychological happiness. Third, trust of Instructors had a positive effect on psychological happiness. Fourth, exercise flow mediated the relationship between golf participant trust of Instructors and psychological happiness. If golf participants have higher confidence in their leaders and more commitment to exercise, the quality of life will be higher.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effects of self-esteem in the relationship between marital conflict and school adjustment among adolescents. This study used data collected from 482 middle school students in Seoul. Multiple regression analysis was used to examine the mediating effects of self-esteem in the relationship between marital conflict and school adjustment. The results of this study revealed that there were sex differences in self-esteem of adolescents. For both male and female adolescents, marital conflict was found to have negative effects on self-esteem. School adjustment of adolescents was found to be positively influenced by self-esteem. Marital conflict had negative direct effects on school adjustment only for male adolescents. Results indicated that self-esteem mediated in the effects of marital conflict on school adjustment for male and female adolescents. Implications for understanding the associations among marital conflict, children's self-esteem and adjustment in school contexts were discussed.

  • In this study, the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Silvetia siliquosa extracts were identified. Antioxidant experiments included polyphenol concentration measurements, flavonoid concentration measurements, DPPH experiments, ABTS experiment NO experiments, and FRAP experiments. For polyphenols, 54.85 ± 2.79 mg/g was shown. Flavonoids showed 18.70 ± 5.26 mg/g. The DPPH experiment showed an antioxidant function of 3.950 mg ascorbic acid/g extract, the ABTS experiment showed an antioxidant function of 7.418 mg ascorbic acid/g extract, and the NO experiment showed an antioxidant function of 6.056 mg ascorbic acid/g extract. In FRAP, 1 mg of the moxibustion extract showed a reduction of 3.633 ± 0.280 ㎍ of ascorbic acid. In the meantime, cell experiments showed cytotoxicity and anti-inflammatory functions against inflammation induced by LPS. In cytotoxicity experiments, Silvetia siliquosa extracts showed a cell survival rate of more than 80% at all concentrations, and an inflammatory inhibition of 26.94±0.52% at a concentration of 100 ㎍/mL. These results indicate that Silvetia siliquosa extract is available as an anti-inflammatory cosmetic material.

  • As knowledge management is recognized as an important competency of organizations, organizations are continuously investing in knowledge management policies and technologies. Knowledge management preemptively requires employees to share knowledge, but sharing activities for continuous knowledge management have not been performed. The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the organization's mutual exchange efforts through collaborative communication on the knowledge sharing intention of its employees. The study surveyed workers of organizations that operate knowledge management policies and verified the research hypothesis by applying 326 samples to structural equation modeling. As a result of the analysis, factors of collaborative communication(rationality, reciprocal feedback, formality) had a positive effect on the intention to share knowledge, and task interdependence and territoriality had a moderating effect on the relationship between collaborative communication and intention to share knowledge. The study has implications in terms of suggesting an activity strategy that an organization should pursue to improve knowledge sharing among its employees.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation model to measure the core competences of actual play workers by exploring what competences are necessary for them to provide quality play. Based on literature review, we selected five core competences : knowledge of play, program development, understanding play culture, creativity, and information sharing & applying. In order to achieve the research purpose end, a two-round Delphi survey was conducted on 10 play and education experts. The findings drew scholarly consensus on the competences of play workers to have and proposed basic data by developing competences evaluation model to measure them. Each of the key competences has three sub-conpetences, each of which included two behavior elements. Furthermore, this study presented future research directions so that play can be voluntarily planned and supported in a social and cultural context.
