유아교사의 교수효능감이 유아의 학습준비도에 미치는 영향: 교사-유아 상호작용의 매개효과 (The Effects of Early Childhood Teachers' Teaching Efficacy on Preschoolers' School Readiness: The Mediating Effect of Teacher-Child Interaction)

  • Objective: This study explored the relationship between early childhood teachers' teaching efficacy, teacher-child interaction, and preschoolers' school readiness. Methods: The data were drawn from the seventh wave of the Panel Study on Korean Children. The subjects of this study were 1,150 preschoolers and their teachers. Early childhood teachers reported their teaching efficacy, their interaction with preschoolers, and preschoolers' school readiness. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results: First, early childhood teachers' teaching efficacy did not have a direct effect on preschoolers' school readiness. Second, early childhood teachers' teaching efficacy had an indirect effect on preschoolers' school readiness through teacher-child interaction. In other words, teachers with a high level of teaching efficacy had high-quality interactions with preschoolers, which led to preschoolers showing a high level of school readiness. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study highlight the importance of teachers' high teaching efficacy and high-quality interactions between teachers and preschoolers to improve preschoolers' school readiness. In addition, this study contributes to a better understanding of the mechanism by which teachers' teaching efficacy influences preschoolers' school readiness.

유아교사의 시민의식이 공동체 구현 실천 행동에 미치는 영향에서 혁신문화의 매개 효과 (The Effects of Early Childhood Teachers' Civic Consciousness on Actions for Building an Community: The Mediating Effect of Innovative Culture)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of innovative culture in early childhood education institutions on the relationship between teachers' civic consciousness and actions for building a community in order to obtain methodological information for implementation at a time when the need to build an education community has been raised. Methods: The data were collected through 275 early childhood teachers working in kindergartens and daycare centers Then, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression were conducted. Results: All three variables civic consciousness, innovative culture, and actions for building a community showed a significant positive correlation. As a result of analyzing the mediating effect of innovation culture, it was found that the indirect effect of teachers' civic consciousness on the actions for building a community through the innovative culture was found to be statistically significant. Conclusion/Implications: This study was found that it is important to strengthen the teacher's civic consciousness and to create an innovative culture of early childhood education institutions in order to promote actions for building an educational community of teachers. This study is meaningful in that it provided implications for the direction of teacher education and formation of an innovative culture in early childhood education institutions for the purpose building an educational community.

유아교사의 생활지도 효능감 척도개발 연구 (A Study on Development of Early Childhood Teacher's Guidance Efficacy Scale)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 생활지도 효능감 개념을 규정하고, 실제 유아교육기관에서 생활지도의 구성요인을 밝혀, 유아교사의 생활지도 효능감을 객관적으로 판단할 수 있는 척도를 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 유아교사에게 요구되는 생활지도의 내용을 추출하고 국내, 외 교사효능감 이론 및 척도에 대한 고찰에 근거하여 83개 예비문항을 선정하였고 델파이방법에 의해 61개 문항을 선정하여 유아교사 243명을 대상으로 예비문항에 대한 응답을 구해 탐색적 요인 분석을 한 결과, 4요인 51문항 (문제행동지도 효능감 21문항, 유아이해 효능감 11문항, 가정연계 효능감 12문항, 기본생활습관지도 효능감 9문항)이 최종 문항으로 선정되었다. 최종척도에 대한 타당도와 신뢰도 검증을 위해 SPSS 프로그램을 사용하여 문항양호도 검증, 요인분석, 상관관계, 문항간 내적 합치도와 반분신뢰도를 산출하였다. 분석결과, 본 척도가 유아교사의 생활지도 효능감을 측정하기에 적합한 도구임이 확인되었다.

유아교육기관의 학급규모 고찰을 통한 정책적 함의 (Policy Implications by Studying the Class Size of Early Childhood Education Institutes)

  • Objective: This study aimed to provide policy implications by studying the class size of early childhood education institutes. Methods: By looking through researches, the educational influence of class size was examined. By using the latest statistical data, class size standard and status were compared. After class size perception in the field was considered and the main results of advanced researches were summarized and analyzed, the actual condition of class size was diagnosed. Furthermore, the national research trend was analyzed. Results: First, class size was an influencing factor on young children and teachers and its importance was reconfirmed. Second, as for standard in relation to class size in Korea, the maximum class size and teacher-child ratio were not presented together. In respect of overseas standards, infancy has similar standards, but early childhood has a little higher ratio. In the educational fields, there was growing awareness that class size should be modified. Third, there were not enough domestic researches on class size and they tended to be biased in terms of the method, targets, and contents. Conclusion/Implications: It is suggested that it is necessary to establish a class size policy for future early childhood education institutes, to implement a system, and to perform follow-up studies.

근무기관의 조직건강성이 유아교사의 창의적 인성에 미치는 영향: 놀이교수효능감의 매개효과 검증 (The Influence of Organizational Health on the Creative Personality of Teachers in Early Childhood Education: Examining the Mediating Effects of Play Teaching Efficacy)

  • Objective: This study was conducted to examine the mediating effects of play teaching efficacy in the relationship between the organizational health of teacher workplaces and the creative personality of the teachers. Methods: The Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and one-way ANOVA were conducted for data analysis using SPSS 25.0. For mediating analysis, Baron & Kenny's (1986) multiple regression analysis using SPSS 25.0 and the Sobel test were also implemented. Results: There were significant differences in the organizational health of the workplaces according to age, years of working experience, type of workplace, and daily working hours. For play teaching efficacy, there were significant differences according to age, education level, years of working experience, type of workplace, and daily working hours of the teacher. On the other hand, significant differences were found in terms of age and education level in relation to the teacher having a creative personality. Play teaching efficacy was found to have a full mediation effect on the relationship between the organizational health of the workplace and the creative personality of the teacher. Conclusion/Implications: The organizational health of the workplace and play teaching efficacy should be improved in order to enhance the creative personality of teachers in early childhood education.

교육실습 후 예비유아교사들의 아동과학지도수업에 대한 인식 및 요구 (Pre-Service Early Childhood Teacher's Perception and Demand on Science Education Lecture)

  • 본 연구는 교육실습을 마친 예비유아교사들이 아동과학지도 수업의 교육 내용에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있으며 어떤 요구를 가지고 있는지를 살펴봄으로써, 아동과학지도 수업의 효율적인 운영을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 교육실습을 마친 예비유아교사 228명을 대상으로 연구자가 제작한 설문지를 배부 회수한 후 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 첫째, 교육실습 시전체 아동과학지도 수업이 도움이 된 정도에서 40% 정도가 '도움이 되었다'고 인식하였으며, 교육내용과 교수방법이 도움이 된 정도에서는 '보통정도'의 인식을 나타냈다. 교수방법 중에서 도움이 된 정도에 대한 인식은 '유아들 앞에서의 실제교수경험'이 가장 높게 나타났고 '이론위주의 강의 중심'이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들의 아동과학지도 수업에 대한 요구는 이론적인 내용보다는 실제 현장에서 바로 적용할 수 있는 여러 가지 실제적인 경험이 가능한 교육내용들에 대한 요구가 높았다. 교수방법 측면에서는 강의식 수업방식보다는 실제 유아들 앞에서 과학수업을 경험해 보는 교수방법이나 현직 유아교사들이 실시하고 있는 과학수업을 분석해보는 형식의 교수방법에 대한 요구가 더 높게 나타났다.

초임 유아교사의 정서지능, 교사-유아 상호작용 간의 관계에서 정서노동의 매개효과 (The Relationship between Novice Early Childhood Teacher's Emotional Intelligence and Teacher-Child Interaction in the Mediating Effect of Emotional Labor)

  • This study examined the mediating effect of emotional labor in the relations between teachers' emotional intelligence and teacher-child interaction of novice early childhood teachers. The sample consisted of 248 novice early childhood teachers in Gyeonggi Province. The structural equation modeling was conducted using AMOS to test the fit of a hypothesized structural model. The mediating effect of emotional labor was verified by the bootstrapping approach. The results were as follows: First, teacher-child interaction was positively associated with teachers' emotional intelligence and deep acting in emotional labor was negatively associated with surface acting in emotional labor. Next, surface acting in emotional labor had a mediating effect on the relations between emotional intelligence and teacher-child interaction. Finally, deep acting of emotional labor had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between emotional intelligence and teacher-child interaction. Based on these findings, ways to enhance teachers' emotional intelligence in relation to the novice teachers' emotional characteristics, and to improve recognition on emotional labor were discussed.

보육교사의 안전 수행 자신감에 대한 영향요인 (Self-confidence of Child Care Teachers' Safety Performance for the Children)

  • Purpose: The study was aimed to investigate the related variables with child care teachers in early childhood care and education centers affecting their self-confidence of safety performance for the children. Method: Structured questionnaires were distributed and self administered by the child care teachers in early childhood care and education centers. The study participants consisted of 482 teachers in early childhood care and education centers in Seoul. 394 questionnaires were analyzed for this study. SPSS 12.0 for Windows was used to analyze the collected data. Result: Teachers' knowledge on safety, teachers' beliefs in safety performance teachers' self-efficacy, and social support were statistically related to confidence in safety performance significantly with positive relationship. Job stress was related to confidence in safety performance with significant negative relationship. After binding each 4 clusters of variables, the most significant teacher related variables affecting teachers' confidence in safety performance was teachers' knowledge on safety statistically significantly, and those 4 variables explained 22.2% of teachers' confidence in safety performance. Conclusion: 4 related variables, teachers' knowledge on safety, teachers' self-efficacy, teachers' exposure to safety education, and social support, were identified significant factors affecting self-confidence of childcare teachers' safety performance for the children.

유아교사의 정서지능, 전문성 인식이 유아의 문제행동지도전략에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Emotional Intelligence of Teacher and Consciousness of Professionalism on Strategies of Problem Behavior Guidance of Early Childhood)

  • 본 연구에서는 유아교사의 정서지능, 전문성 인식이 유아의 문제행동지도전략에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 서울시 및 경기도의 보육교사 237명이다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 사용해 도구의 신뢰도 및 변인 간의 상관분석을 실시하였으며, 유아교사의 정서지능과 전문성 인식이 유아의 문제행동지도전략에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사의 정서지능이 유아문제행동지도 전략에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 긍정적 예방전략I에는 정서활용이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 또한 부정적 반응전략에는 타인정서인식, 정서활용, 전체 정서지능이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 전체 유아문제행동지도전략에는 타인정서인식과 정서활용이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 유아교사의 전문성 인식이 유아문제행동지도 전략에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 긍정적 예방전략I에는 전문적 지식과 기술요구, 사회봉사, 직업윤리, 사회경제적 지위, 직업전문성이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 긍정적 예방전략II에는 전문적 지식과 기술요구, 사회봉사, 직업윤리, 사회경제적 지위, 직업전문성이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 또한 긍정적 반응전략에는 전문적 지식과 기술요구, 직업윤리, 사회경제적 지위, 직업전문성이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 부정적 반응전략에는 직업윤리와 사회경제적 지위만이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 전체 문제행동지도전략에는 전문적 지식과 기술요구, 사회봉사, 사회경제적 지위, 직업전문성이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 자기효능감과 교사리더십의 관계를 알아보고 자기효능감이 교사리더십에 미치는 영향을 알아봄으로써, 유아교육 현장에서 교사의 리더십을 향상시키기 위한 방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 충남과 대전광역시 유치원과 어린이집 교사 216명을 대상으로 질문지를 사용하여 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사의 자기효능감이 높으면 교사리더십이 높게 나타났고, 특히 과업주도성이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 풍토조성효능감은 리더십 전체와 가장 높은 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사의 자기효능감이 교사리더십에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하위요인에서는 교수효능감, 부모참여효능감, 훈육효능감, 의사결정효능감 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
