This study is purposed to research the present status and outcomes of adaption of science teacher system in elementary school. The subjects of this study are science teachers, schoolmasters, science supervisors, and 3rd$\~$6th grade students in western office of board of education, Gwangju Metropolitan city. It was found that there are 264 teachers who teach one subject and only two of them were science teachers. In elementary schools, most classroom teachers didn't want to be science teachers and schoolmasters or science supervisors could not afford to adapt science teacher system. After applying science teacher system to 3$\~$6th grade students during one school year, many students were improved in academic achievement and inquiring ability, and they have increased of interest and participation in science activities. This means that science class by science teacher is more effective than that by classroom teacher. Therefore, science teacher system should enlarge to science class in elementary school.

This quantitative study explored the extent to which convenience enhances professional development (PD) online. The sample of the study consisted of 421 teachers and supervisors. Findings evinced that convenience stimulated online PD. Another salient finding is the absence of significant differences among participants' responses concerning position and gender. Nonetheless, a significant difference exists in the variable of teaching experience. Teachers with more than 26-year experience were motivated to use online PD, which evidently could be attributed to the convenience they had over teachers with fewer years of experience.

The school library plays very important and central role for the fullfillment of educational objective in the process of implementing the school curriculum. And the media specialist known as teacher-librarian is. primarily responsible for the successful operation and effective management of the media center. It is true that effectiveness of the school library depends greatly on the cooperative coordination among teacher-librarian, teacher and principal in addition to the strong support and effective supervision of school district authority, specifically, supervisor of school library program. The successful program therefore is influenced by their perception of the teacher-librarian's role. The purpose of this study was to investigate the teacher-librarian's. educational role perceived by teacher-librarian, teacher, principal and school district supervisor. A standard task model describing both the management and educational functions and expectations of teacher-librarian was proposed after studying the relevant current standards of four countries. Serveral hypotheses were made regarding role perception and a survey instrument was designed based on this proposed task model and the results of the literature review to validate the hypotheses. The questionnaires were mailed out and the returned questionaires were analyzed by SPSS computer routine. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1) There was difference of the role perception among teacher-librarian, teacher, principal and district supervisor at the significance level of p<0.001 for both management and educational functions of teacher­librarian. The mean score of the teacher-librarian was highest among four groups and the score for the educational function tasks were lower than that of management function tasks. 2) The positive correlation exists at the significance level of p<0.001 between the role perception and the attitude toward changing social trends such as acceptance of new technology, need for better communication and information. 3) The positive correlation exists at the significance level of p<0.001 between the role perception and the view on the curriculum and teaching method.

The purpose of this study were to investigate and no investigate and to compare perceptions of home economics teachers and educators regarding home economics student teaching pratice, thereby to provide fundamental information for improving home economics student teaching pratice. The specific objectives of this study were at follows. 1. To determine and compare the perceptions of home economics teachers and teacher educators regarding the importance and achievement of (1) the objectives of student teaching, (2) the experiences of student teaching, (3) procedures for selecting cooperating teachers, (4) roles and responsibilities of cooperating teachers, and (5) roles and responsibilities of university supervisors. 2. To identify problems and revisions about home economics student teaching pratice suggested by home economics teachers and teacher educators. The subjects in this study included 90 home economics teachers in 500 girls’middle schools and 13 teacher educators in 21 universities with home economics education department in Korea. For this study, the Habedi’s instruments were used through testing validity and reliability. The data of this study were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, t-test, and content analysis. The results of this study were as follow；1. The areas with the difference of perceptions of the importance between the two groups were objectives of student teaching, experiences of student teaching, procedures for selecting cooperating teachers, and roles and responsibilities of cooperating teachers. 2. Regarding problems about home economics students teaching practice, home economics teachers indicated difficulty in performing adequate student teaching because of reduction in class hours, and lack of student teachers’positive attitude in performing student teaching, while teacher educators indicated having reluctancy of cooperating school to admit student teachers, and difference in experiences of student teachers because of disparity among cooperating schools. As solutions about the problems of home economics student teaching practice, home economics teachers suggested that student teaching course should be limited to the students qualified for teaching and that class observation and teaching practice in real class should be emphasized, while teacher educators suggested that student teaching should be performed adequately by providing institutions to control student teaching practice teacher should be made efficient by examining the scales of cooperating schools.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the association between psychosocial work environment and depressive symptoms among Korean teachers. Methods: Data on 235 elementary school teachers and 341 middle and high school teachers was obtained from the 2014 Korean Working Condition Survey. The effect of psychosocial work environment on depressive symptoms was determined by multiple logistic regression analyses. Results: The prevalence of depressive symptoms was 18 % in elementary school teachers and 24 % in middle and high school teachers. When adjusted for demographics and other socio-psychological and environmental factors, 'social community at work' served as a protection factor for Korean teachers' depressive symptoms. In addition, 'cognitive demands' in elementary school teachers and 'social support from supervisors' in middle and high school teachers were found to be predictors of depressive symptoms. Conclusion: Interventions to increase 'social community at work' and 'social support from supervisors', and to decrease 'cognitive demands' may be helpful for Korean teachers at risk of depression.

예비 수학교사 교육에서 수업장학이 중요함에도 불구하고 예비교사의 수업기술 향상과 이로 인한 수업의 효과 증대에 필요한 수업장학의 구체적 방안에 대한 연구가 거의 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이 연구에서는 국립사범대학에서 수학 수업장학을 받고 교육실습을 다녀온 74명의 예비 수학교사를 대상으로 한 설문 조사와 4명의 예비 수학교사를 대상으로 한 면담을 통하여 수학 예비교사의 수업장학에 관한 실태 및 요구를 조사하였다. 설문 조사 및 개별 면담을 분석한 결과와 수업장학에 관한 이론을 바탕으로 중등수학 예비교사의 수업장학을 위한 제언을 하였다. 조사 결과, 사범대학의 예비 수학교사 교육에서 이루어지고 있는 발표수업과 수업장학은 예비 수학교사가 수업 기술을 발전시키고 전문성을 신장시키는 실질적인 하나의 방법이었다. 한편, 효과적인 수업장학을 위하여 교육실습 기간의 수업장학은 현장과 대학의 협동장학으로 이루어질 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

본 연구는 보육교사의 역할수행, 원장의 지지, 소진의 관계를 규명하기 위해 실시되었다. 경기지역 어린이집에 재직 중인 171명의 보육교사를 대상으로 설문지를 통한 조사를 실시하였고, 역할수행 질문지(박복매, 2011)와 사회적 지지 설문지(이재영, 2012), 직무소진 질문지(김혜경, 2011)를 사용하였다. 결과 처리를 위해 빈도분석, 신뢰도 검증, Pearson의 적률상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 보육교사의 역할수행과 원장의 지지, 소진 간의 관계는 모두 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 역할수행 전체 및 하위변인들은 소진 전체 및 하위변인들과 부적 상관을 보였고, 원장의 지지 전체 및 하위변인들은 소진 전체 및 하위변인들과 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 역할수행이 보육교사의 소진에 미치는 영향력은 부적으로 유의하였다. 역할수행의 하위요인인 교육 및 교수활동은 정서적 고갈, 개인적 성취감 감소와 소진 전체에 유의한 부적 영향력을 주었고, 상담 및 정서적 지원은 비인간화, 개인적 성취감 감소에 유의한 부적 영향력을 주었다. 셋째, 원장의 지지가 보육교사의 소진에 미치는 영향력은 부적으로 유의하였다. 물질적 지지는 정서적 고갈, 비인간화, 개인적 성취감 감소와 소진 전체에 유의한 부적 영향력을 주었고, 평가적 지지는 비인간화, 개인적 성취감 감소에 유의한 부적영향력을 주었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 보육교사의 소진을 감소시키기 위해 역할수행을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 방안을 고려해야 함과 원장의 지지를 다각적으로 높여내야 함을 시사 받을 수 있다.

본 연구는 인구 교육의 기초 이론에 대한 이해를 심화시키기 위한 교사 직무 연수 프로그램을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 윤인경 외(2006)의 연구를 기반으로 하여 인간 존중, 인구, 가족, 복지, 교수 학습 방법 및 교재 개발의 5개 영역으로 60시간에 해당되는 연수 프로그램을 개발하고 연수 강사진은 시 도교육청 장학사, 교과 교육 전문가, 교과 내용 전공자, 보건복지부 담당자 등 다양하게 구성하였다. 연수 프로그램은 초등학교 교사와 중등학교 교사 59명을 대상으로 2008년 8월 13일(월)~22일(금)까지 9일 동안 진행되었으며, 연수를 실시한 후 프로그램의 만족도를 평가하기 위하여 리커드 척도 형태의 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 분석 결과 인구교육 연수 프로그램 구성, 내용, 강사진에 대한 만족도가 4.25로 매우 높게 나타났으며, 2기 연수 프로그램을 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 연수생들의 만족도 평가와 전문가의 의견을 수렴하여 본 연구에서 개발한 초등학교용, 중학교용 교사용 연수 프로그램을 수정 보완하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to extend the knowledge about two volumes of Kanho Kyokwaseo (Textbook of Nursing) published in 1908 and 1910. Methods: The books were investigated from the first to the last pages and compared with other textbooks published during the same period. Results: The origin of these books was from Hubinyaoshu (Manual of Nursing) published in China in 1904. They were translated by Edmunds, a missionary nurse from America, and Chang Chai-Sun, a teacher at the first nursing school in Korea, along with inspection by Korean teachers who were fluent in English. Kanho Kyokwaseo are user-friendly textbooks in that they are written mainly in Hangul; Chinese and English are added in cases of explicating western scientific terminology and medical terminology, with notes at the top, on the left, and on the right of the page. The contents emphasize reporting and submission to supervisors and doctors. Surgical nursing occupies the largest chapter. Disinfection and hygiene, the advantages of western modern medicine, are dealt with repeatedly and importantly. Conclusion: Kanho Kyokwaseo was widely used as the first and only nursing textbook published before Japanese occupation and as a publication having upgraded the level of textbooks.

This study looked into the procedures of and the status on the implementation of the new 7th national curriculum at the elementary school level, especially focused on the subjects of schools and the teachers for the actual curriculum implementation. More specifically the study examined, 1) the degree to which the particular innovation(i.e., student-centered, flexible and autonomous school-based curriculum, etc.) is be-ing implemented as planned; and 2) how it is being implemented. It conducted a situation-oriented analysis in cooperation with three local boards of education. Classroom observations, teacher interviews, questionnaires for teachers and supervisors were utilized and the three major criteria of interpreting the result were the three core concepts of the 7th national curriculum, that is, the degree of "(1)reorganization, (2)student-centeredness, and (3)diversification/specialization" of the curriculum. Detailed documentation on the processes of the local bureaus of education and on the classroom practices are made in order to provide schools and policy makers with relevant and practical suggestions for further improvement of curriculum implementation.
