Fasting and Postprandial Ammonia Nitrogen Excretion of Juvenile Oplegnathus fasciatus at Various Temperatures in a Recirculating System (순환여과식 내 수온에 따른 돌돔(Oplegnathus fasciatus) 치어의 절식 및 식후 암모니아 배설)

  • This study investigated diurnal fasting and postprandial total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) excretion rates in juvenile Oplegnathus fasciatus (rock bream; mean body weight 45.8±1.1 g) at three temperatures (15, 20, and 25℃) in a recirculating system (three replicates). The fish were hand-fed twice daily (09:00 and 17:00 h) with commercial food (46.7% protein) until satiation. The results showed that the fasting and postprandial TAN excretion rates were temperature-dependent. The mean hourly rates were 7.7 (15℃), 10.2 (20℃), and 11.9 (25℃) mg kg fish-1 h-1 for fasting and 34.0 (15℃), 47.8 (20℃), and 60.2 (25℃) mg kg fish-1 h-1 for postprandial. At each temperature, two postprandial TAN excretion peaks were observed 2-4 h after feeding; the second peak was always higher. The TAN loss to nitrogen consumption ratio was 41.1-46.8 % and increased significantly with increasing temperature. Temperature affected fasting and postprandial TAN excretion in juvenile rock bream, providing insight for culture management.

  • Objectives : This paper is to find the meaning of Tan pulse in Qikooujiudamai Diagnosis, Methods : In terms of Qikooujiudamai, the position to diagnose the Intermittent Pulse is Kwan(關) position and the pulse is Tan(彈) pulse. To find the meaning of Tan pulse, the symptoms of Intermittent pulse were analyzed. Then the symptoms were analyzed in terms of both Qikooujiudamai Diagnosis and 28-pulse diagnosis to find the correlation. Results & Conclusions : The Tan pulse at Kwan position is related to Hyen(弦), Kin(緊), Hwal(滑), Dan(短) pulse in 28-pulse diagnosis. The symptom of disease of Intermittent pulse's diagnosis is mostly concluded to those 4 pulses. Qikooujiudamai is the diagnosis for acupucture treatment, but with 28-pulse diagnosis, it can be developed to usage of medicine.

First Report of Pyrenophora tritici-repentis in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) in Korea and in vitro Selection of an Effective Fungicide

  • Tan spot, caused by Pyrenophora tritici-repentis, is a major foliar disease in wheat worldwide. In April 2021, tan spot symptoms were observed in a commercial wheat field in Suncheon, Jeonnam Province, Korea, with over 5% of the wheat leaves exhibiting symptoms. These symptoms included oval-shaped tan necrosis surrounded by a bright halo. The three representative isolates exhibited irregular mycelial growth on V8-potato dextrose agar and produced pseudothecia. Based on the concatenated sequence datasets of four multi-genes, including the internal transcribed spacer, large subunit ribosomal RNA, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, and RNA polymerase II second-largest subunit genes, phylogenetic analysis revealed that these three isolates clustered in the same clade as P. tritici-repentis. Results of pathogenicity test indicated that the initial symptoms appeared 5 days post-inoculation (dpi), with typical tan spot symptoms developing at 7 dpi. The pathogen was successfully re-isolated from the symptomatic tissues, thus fulfilling Koch's postulates. Furthermore, we selected three fungicides that effectively inhibited the mycelial growth of P. tritici-repentis by more than 90% in vitro. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of tan spot disease in wheat in Korea.

  • We provide a direct proof of the following theorem of Kalton, Hollenbeck, and Verbitsky [7]: let H be the Hilbert transform and let a, b be real constants. Our proof avoids passing through the analogous result for the conjugate function on the circle, as in [7], and is given directly on the line. We also provide new approximate extremals for aI + bH in the case p > 2.

  • The surface of mica/epoxy paper(130${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) is investigated with SEM(scanning electron microscope). SEM micrographs revealed that thermal aging has a strong influence on aged specimens. The mica/epoxy paper was exposed at 187$^{\circ}C$ in an ordinary electrical oven for 72hour. Stater windings from two generators were measured by tan delta(tan $\delta$)and maximum partial discharge(Qm). The values of tan $\delta$and Qm were fecund to be higher for new generator than old one. The insulation condition of mica/epoxy paper were measured by ac current and tan $\delta$. Test results are observed that the sound specimens are higher than those aged. Model bar coils subjected to various accelerated agings were evaluated by Qm.

  • We studied the dielectric properties and voltage dependence on slice XLPE sheet from 22 kV and 154 kV power cables. Interface structures are XLPE/semiconductor and XLPE/water/semiconductor capacitance and tan6 of 22 kV, 154 kV were 52/42 pF and $7.4\times{10}/^{-4}, 2.15\times{10}^{-4}$, respectively in these results, the trend was increased with the increase of temperature the tan$\delta$ of XLPE/semiconductive layer and XLPE/water/ semiconductive layer were increased as compared with that of XLPE Temperature reliability of tan$\delta$ was small.

  • 플라즈마중합 에틸메타아크릴레이트(PPMMA) 박막의 유전특성인 유전정접(tan .delta.)과 정전용량(C)을 관측하고 산화와 열처리 및 플라즈마처리로 인한 PPMMA의 tan .delta.와 C의 변화에 대하여 연구하였다. 측정온도 25.deg.C, 측정주파수 1KHz에서 1MHz의 범위에서 PPMMA 박막은 CO와 -OH같은 산화물의 생성으로 인하여 tan .delta. 와 C는 증가하고 tan .delta.는 측정주파수 내에서 피이크를 형성한다. 이는 PPMMA내에 잔류하는 저분자량 성분과 자유라디칼의 존재와 공기중에서의 산화가 그 원인이라 할 수 있다. 본연구에서는 PPMMA박마그이 열처리 및 플라즈마처리를 하여 저분자량 성분과 라디칼을 제거하고 산화를 방지하여 박막의 유전특성을 개선하였다.

Assessment of Insulation Condition in Large Turbine Generator Stator Windings (대용량 터빈발전기 고정자 권선의 절연상태 평가)

  • This paper describes to access the insulation deterioration condition of the stator windings in three large turbine generators. Nondestructive tests have been carried out on stand-still generators which have been in service for 2 to 30 years. In most cases these tests include ac current increase rate($\Delta$I), delta tan delta( ${\Delta}tan{\delta}$), and maximum partial discharge(Qm). Gen. 2 show that the $tan{\delta}$ is higher than other two generators in the $tan{\delta}$-voltage curve. Partial discharge(PD) patterns were observed internal, corona and treeing discharges in large turbine generators. The PD tests were confirmed the correlation between discharge patterns and the kinds of defects.
