The K-PCS and W-CDMA dual band dielectric duplexer and bandpass filters have been designed and fabricated. The dual band duplexer consists of the separate monoblock K-PCS and W-CDMA duplexers using common antenna port. The coupling capacitance and I/O impedance matching have been designed to minimize the cross interference between the bands. Isolations of crosspoint between Tx and Rx in K-PCS and W-CDMA dualband were about 47 dB and 100 dB, respectively. On the other hand, isolations of Tx and Rx in K-PCS and W-CDMA were about 66 dB and 65 dB, respectively. The difference between 47 dB and 100 dB originated from the different center frequencies in Tx and Rx of K-PCS and W-CDMA bands. The coupling capacitance of the bandwidth, I/O capacitance of I/O matching and impedance matching, and various capacitances were important role to fabricate the dielectric duplexer and bandpass filters.

Under pseudo-first order conditions, the monomeric species of Cr(VI) was found to be kinetically active in the absence of phenanthroline (phen) whereas in the phen-promoted path, the Cr(VI)-phen complex undergoes a nucleophilic attack by etane-1,2-diol to form a ternary complex which subsequently experience a redox decomposition leading to hydroxy ethanal and Cr(III)-phen complex. The effect of the cationic surfactant (CPC), anionic surfactant (SDS) and neutral surfactant (TX-100) on the unpromoted and phen-promoted path have been studied. Micellar effects have been explained by considering the preferential partitioning of reactants between the micellar and aqueous phase. Combination of TX-100 and phenanthroline will be the ideal for chromic acid oxidation of ethane-1,2-diol in aqueous media.

The cancellation loop configuration for power amplifier module is proposed to reject the RX signals using feed-forward technique. In this paper, we implement the 1W-ampilfier module of WLL band to show validity of the proposed cancellation loop. The power amplifier module with the proposed cancellation loop can provide low TX insertion path loss due to duplexer and choice of loose RX attenuation characteristic for various wireless communication systems. It shows at least 90 % improved RX rejection characteristic compared to power amplifier module without RX band cancellation loop.

Relative attenuations of Tx and Rx in K-PCS and US-PCS duplexers were about -60dB and -65dB, -51dB and -53dB, respectively. In the case of Rx and Tx in K-PCS and US-PCS bandpass filters, relative attenuations were about -40dB and -14dB, -5dB and -10dB, respectively. From the aboved results, the relative affect between Tx and Rx in K-PCS bands was smaller than that of US-PCS bands. Also, the various capacitances of passband were important role to determine the characterics of bandpass filter.

Molecular association of glucose transporters with the other proteins in the plasma membrane was assessed by gel electrophoresis and immunoblot techniques. Approximately $31.5{\pm}5.1%$ of GLUT-4, $64.8{\pm}2.7%$ of clathrin, 48.7% of total protein in the plasma membrane (PM) were found insoluble upon extraction with 1% Tx-100. Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis revealed that the Tx-100 insoluble PM fraction contained about 4 major polypeptides with apparent molecular weight of above 200, 100-120, 80 and 30-35 KDa that were readily removed upon wash with a high pH buffer which is known to remove clathrin and 0.5 M Tris-buffer which is known to remove assembly proteins (AP). Immunoblotting of GLUT4 and clathrin against specific antibodies showed that GLUT-4 and clathrin were co-solubilized up to 84.6% and 82.7% respectively by wash with a high pH buffer and 1% Tx-100. When the membrane was pre-washed with a high pH buffer and 0.5 M Tris solution, GLUT4 and clathrin were not solubilized further suggesting that GLUT4 molecules are in molecular association with clathrin, AP and/or other extrinsic membrane proteins in plasma membrane and the formation of clathrin-coated structures might be involved in insulin stimulated glucose transporter translocation mechanism.

In order to improve readability, a leakage-signal canceller has been proposed in UHF-band RFID readers. The proposed canceller is composed of two blocks: an environment monitoring block for detection of Tx and RX power levels and a leakage cancellation block. The leakage canceller consists of directional-couplers, digital attenuators and phase shifters based on the feed-forward scheme. The leakage canceller is located between antenna and reader. An improved experimental characterization of the scheme is presented with results from the reader operating in the Korean RFID frequency band, conforming the validity of the approach with more than 29 dB of leakage cancellation.

For $f:C{\rightarrow}C$ a contraction and $t{\in}(0,1)$, let $x_t$ be a fixed point of a contraction $S_t:C{\rightarrow}{\mathcal{K}}(E)$, defined by $S_tx:=tP_T(x)+(1-t)f(x)$, $x{\in}C$. It is proved that if C is a nonexpansive retract of E and $\{x_t\}$ is bounded, then the strong ${\lim}_{t{\rightarrow}1}x_t$ exists and belongs to the fixed point set of T. Moreover, we study the strong convergence of $\{x_t\}$ with the weak inwardness condition on T in a reflexive Banach space with a uniformly $G{\hat{a}}teaux$ differentiable norm. Our results provide a partial answer to Jung's question.

Panaxadiol (PD) from Korean red ginseng C.A. Meyer did not control the concentration of cytosolic free $Ca^{2+}$ influxes by thrombin (5 $\mu$/ml). However, PD strongly inhibited the synthesis of thromboxane. $A_2$ (TX$A_2$) in the aggregation of human platelets induced by thrombin (5 $\mu$/ml). These rexults suggest that PD blocks the any Pathway transforming to TX$A_2$ from arachidonic acid (AA) which release out of plasma membrane phospholipids by $Ca^{2+}$-dependent phospholipase C or phospholipase $A_2$. It may be also concluded that PD has the antiplatelet function by inhibiting the synthesis of TX$A_2$, which known to be the potent stimulator of the aggregation of human platelet.

In order to know the effects of thyroid hormone on the bursa of Fabricius in chicken, the bursae were studied with the light microscope after administration of thyroxine(TX) or propylthiouracil(PPT). Macroscopically, the bursa of TY-treated group showed increase in size and thickened folds. while those of the PPT-treated group decrease in size, compared with those of control group. In the light microscopic studies, the bursa of Fabricius of the TX-treated group showed active cell-divisions in the medulla, and increased number of pyroninophilic large lymphocytes and plasma cells containing PAS positive materials in the cytoplasms. On the other hand, the bursa from PPT-treated group revealed decreased number of lymphocytes, significant increase of necrotic lymphocytes in the follicles, and the proliferation of the interfollicular connective tissues. A large number of pyroninophilic lymphocytes and plasma cells were also appeared in the spleen of the TX-treated group.

Tx/Rx dual microstrip array antennas for satellite communications are designed, fabricated, and measured in this paper. They have a Right Handed Circular Polarization (RHCP) for Tx and Left Handed Circular Polarization (LHCP) for Rx. Two stacked patches are used for wideband characteristics and corner-truncated square patches are adopted for a circular polarization. To enhance bandwidth characteristics of a circular polarization, 2${\times}$1 sequential rotation mays are applied. From the measured results, 8${\times}$1 microstrip may antennas have a good agreement with those of the simulation. Therefore the array antennas are applicable to satellite communication antennas, active phased may antennas, and radiators in other antennas.
