  • In this paper, we proposed MBDD(Modified Binary Decision Diagram) as a multi-level logic synthesis method and a vertex of MBDD to NMOS transistors matching. A vertex in MBDD is matched to a set of NMOS transistors. MBDD structure can be achieved through transformation steps from BDD structure. MBDD can represent the same function with less vertices less number of NMOS transistors, consequently capacitance of the circuit can be reduced. Thus the power dissipation can be reduced. We applied MBDD to a full odder and a 4-2compressor. Comparing the 4-2compressor block with other synthesis logic, 31.2% reduction and 19.9% reduction was achieved in numbers of transistors and power dissipation respectively. In this simulation we used 0.8 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ fabrication parameters.

  • Flame aerosol synthesis technology refers to the formation of fine particles from gases in flame and is widely used in practical materials processing. In this paper, an experimental investigation was performed on growth of the silica particles that were generated in $H_2/O_2$ Diffusion Flame by the direct injection or TEOS using Electro-spraying method. in this flame aerosol synthesis, four main parameters or nos interaction (flame temperature, residence time or particle in flame, TEOS flow rate, applied voltage) for particle generation and growth was investigated along the axial direction above the burner. A fairly monodisperse non-aggregated particles were successfully obtained.

  • Synthesis of aluminium nitride has been studied by using the starting materials such as-alumina which was prepared at the lowest temperature from AlO(OH), anhydrous aluminium chloride and metallic aluminium powders. For the synthesis of aluminium nitride, the reaction temperature was carefully controlled and the reaction conditions were determined and discussed with the results. Reaction of metallic aluminium powder and nitrogen gas was taken place at relatively low temperature. The reaction parameters were determined kinetically.

  • In this paper, a texture synthesis technique based on the NCAR(non-causal auto-regressive) model and the pyramid structure is proposed. In order to estimate the NCAR model parameters accurately from a noisy texture, the MAP(maximum a posteriori) estimation technique is also employed. In our approach, since the input texture is decomposed into the Laplacian oyramid planes first and then the NCAR model is applied to each plane, we are able to obtain a good synthesized texture even if the texture exhibits some non-random local structure or non-homogenity. The usrfulness of the proposed method is demonstrated with seveal real textures in the Brodatz album. Finally, the 2-dimensional MAP estimation technique can be used to the image restoration for noisy images as well as a texture image synthesis.

  • A structural coupling method is developed for the dynamic analysis of a nonlinear structure with concentrated nonlinear hinge joints or sliding lines. Component mode synthesis method is extended to couple substructures and the nonlinear models. In order to verify the improved coupling method, a numerical plate model consisting of two substructures and torsional springs, is synthesized by using the proposed method and its model parameters are compared with analysis data. Then the coupling method is applied to a three-substructure-model with the nonlinearity of sliding lines between the substructures. The coupled structural model is verified from its dynamic analysis. The analysis results show that the improved coupling method is adequate for the structural nonlinear analyses with the nonlinear hinge and sliding mode condition.

  • Tungsten-molydiside $W_xMo_{1-x}Si_2$ was synthesized by self-propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS). The SHS product with the initial composition of (0.5Mo+0.5W+2Si) contains 23.9% $MoSi_2$, 40.89% $WSi_2$ with remaining 9.11% Mo, 9.16% Si and 16.94%W. Lattice parameters of the $MoSi_2$ and $WSi_2$ determined by Rietvelt analysis were a=0.3206 nm, c=0.7841 nm and a=0.3212 nm, c=0.7822 nm, respectively.

  • Object-oriented analysis-synthesis coding subdivides each image of a sequence into moving objects and compensates the motion of each object. Thus it can reconstruct real motion better than conventional motion-compensated coding techniques at very-low-bit-rates. It uses a mapping parameter technique for estimating motion information of each object. Since a mapping parameter technique uses gradient operators it is sensitive to redundant details and noise. To accurately determine mapping parameters, we propose a new analysis method using integral projections for estimation of gradient values. Also to reconstruct correctly the local motion the proposed algorithm divides an image into segmented objects each of which having uniform motion information while the conventional one assumes a large object having the same motion information. Computer simulation results with several test sequences show that the proposed image analysis method in object-oriented analysis-synthesis coding shows better performance than the conventional one.

  • This paper is concerned with an iterative linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach to the design of a structurally constrained output feedback controller such as decentralized control. The structured synthesis is formulated as a novel rank-constrained LMI optimization problem, where the controller parameters are explicitly described so as to impose structural constraints on the parameter matrices. An iterative penalty method is applied to solve the rank-constrained LMI problem. Numerical experiments are performed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Differently from instruments which synthesized sounds and tones in the past, voice synthesis engine for music production has reached to the level of creating music as if actual artists were singing. It uses the samples of human voices naturally connected to the different levels of phoneme within the frequency range. Voice synthesis engine is not simply limited to the music production but it is changing cultural paradigm through the second creations of new music type including character music concerts, media productions, albums, and mobile services. Currently, voice synthesis engine technology makes it possible that users input pitch, lyrics, and musical expression parameters through the score editor and they mix and connect voice samples brought from the database to sing. New music types derived from such a development of computer music has sparked a big impact culturally. Accordingly, this paper attempts to examine the specific case studies and the synthesis technologies for users to understand the voice synthesis engine more easily, and it will contribute to their variety of music production.

  • In this paper, we design an optimal model following ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection of diesel engine which has robust performance and satisfactory command tracking performance in spite of uncertainties of the system. To do this, we give gain and dynamics parameters to the weighting functions and apply genetic algorithm with reference model to the optimal determination of the weighting functions that are given by the D-K iteration method which can design ${\mu}-$synthesis controller in the state space. These weighting functions are optimized simultaneously in the search domain which guarantees the robust performance of the system. The ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection designed by the above method has not only the robust performance but also a better command tracking performance than those of the ${\mu}-$synthesis control system designed by trial-and-error method. The effectiveness of this ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection is verified by computer simulation.
