  • This paper proposes a fuzzy logic controlled new topology of high voltage gain zero voltage switching (ZVS) asymmetrical PWM full-bridge DC-DC boost converter for constant load and high power applications. The APWM full-bridge stage provides high voltage gain and soft-switching characteristics increase the efficiency and reduce the switching losses. Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) improves the performance and dynamic characteristics of the proposed converter. A comparison with a classical proportional-integral (PI) controller demonstrates the high performances of the proposed technique in terms of effective output voltage regulation under different operating conditions. Simulation is done by integrating two different simulation platforms $PSIM^{(R)}$ and $Matlab^{(R)}/Simulink^{(R)}$ by using SimCoupler tool of $PSIM^{(R)}$. Experimental results using 120W load have been provided to validate the results.

  • In SRM drive, the ON·OFF angles of each phase switch should be accurately controlled in order to control the torque and speed stably. The accuracy of the switching angles is dependent upon the resolution of the encoder and the sampling period of the microprocessor, that are used to provide the information of the rotor position and to control the SRM power circuit, respectively. However, as the speed increases, the amount of the switching angle deviation from the preset values is also increased. Therefore, the low cost encoder suitable for the practical and stable SRM drive is proposed and the control algorithm to provide the switching signals using the simple digital logic circuit is also presented in this paper, As a result, a stable high speed SRM drive can be achieved by the high resolution switching angle control and it is verified from the experiments that the proposed encoder the logic controller can be a powerful candidate for the practical low cost SRM drive.

  • Logic functions such as fuzzy switching functions and multiple-valued Kleenean functions, that are models of Kleene algebra have been studied as foundation of fuzzy logic. This paper deals with a new kinds of functions-fuzzy switching functions with constants-which have features of both the above two kinds of functions . In this paper, we propose new canonical forms for enumerating them. They are much useful to estimate simply the number of fuzzy switching functions with constants.

  • This Paper Presents development of solar may shunt switching unit with a fully regulated Power regulation for Geostationary Earth Orbit(GEO) satellite. This shunt switching unit comprises the solar may shunt modules that regulate the solar array power. These solar array shunt modules connect/disconnect the solar array segments to/from the bus through switching actions. And that is also possible simply extension to an existing design by FPGA control logic changing. In order to verify the proposed design, the control logic and worst case analysis are analyzed and the simulation and experimental results we shown.

  • This paper proposes a two-phase clocked adiabatic static CMOS logic (2PASCL) circuit that utilizes the principles of adiabatic switching and energy recovery. The low-power 2PASCL circuit uses two complementary split-level sinusoidal power supply clocks whose height is equal to $V_{dd}$. It can be directly derived from static CMOS circuits. By removing the diode from the charging path, higher output amplitude is achieved and the power consumption of the diode is eliminated. 2PASCL has switching activity that is lower than dynamic logic. We also design and simulate NOT, NAND, NOR, and XOR logic gates on the basis of the 2PASCL topology. From the simulation results, we find that 2PASCL 4-inverter chain logic can save up to 79% of dissipated energy as compared to that with a static CMOS logic at transition frequencies of 1 to 100 MHz. The results indicate that 2PASCL technology can be advantageously applied to low power digital devices operated at low frequencies, such as radio-frequency identifications (RFIDs), smart cards, and sensors.

  • This paper presents a method of the circuit design of the multiple-valued digital logic switching functions based on the modular techniques. Fisr of all, we introduce the necessity, background and concepts of the modular design techniques for the digital logic systems. Next, we discuss the definitions that are used in this paper. For the purpose of the circuit design for the multiple-valued digital logic switching functions, we discuss the extraction of the partition functions. Also we describe the construction method of the building block, that is called the modules, based on each partition functions. And we apply the proposed method to the example, we compare the results with the results of the earlier methods. In result, we decrease the control functions, it means that we obtain the effective cost in the digital logic design for any other earlier methods. In the future research, we require the universal module that traet more partition functions and more compact module.

  • This paper presents a method of constructing the efficiency multiple output switching function of the combinational logic systems. The proposed method reduce the optimized input variable pair and output variable pair after we obtained the final multiple output switching function which was time based multiplexing and obtained the common multiple end node extension logic decision diagram. Also the proposed method have an advantage of the cost, input-output node number, circuit simplification, increment of the arithmetic speed, and more regularity and extensibility compare with previous method.

  • Power requirement to the induction heating system varies during the heating process. A closed loop control is required to have a smooth control over the power. In this work, a constant frequency pulse density modulation based power tracking control scheme for domestic induction heating system is developed using the Fuzzy Logic Controller. In the conventional power modulation schemes, the switching losses increase with the change in the load. The proposed pulse density modulation scheme maintains minimum switching losses for the entire load range. This scheme is implemented for the class-D series resonant inverter system. Fuzzy logic controller based power tracking control scheme is developed for domestic induction heating power supply for various power settings. The open loop and closed loop simulation studies are done using the MATLAB/Simulink simulation tool. The control logic is implemented in hardware using the PIC16F877A microcontroller. Fuzzy controller tracks the set power by changing the pulse density of the gate pulses applied to the inverter. The results obtained are used to know the effectiveness of the fuzzy logic controller to achieve the set power.

  • All-optical switching has been demonstrated in bacteriorhodopsin (bR) based on nonlinear intensity induced excited state absorption. The transmission of a cw probe laser beam at 410 nm corresponding to the peak absorption of M state through a bR film is switched by a pulsed pump laser beam at 570 nm that corresponds to the maximum initial 8 state absorption. The switching characteristics have been analyzed using the rate equation approach considering all the six intermediate states (B, K, L, M, N and 0) in the bR photocycle. The switching characteristics are shown to be sensitive to life time of the M state, absorption cross-section of the 8 state at probe wavelength ($\sigma$ $\_$Bp/) and peak pump intensity. It has been shown that the probe laser beam can be completely switched off (100 % modulation) by the pump laser beam at relatively low pump powers, for $\sigma$$\_$Bp/ = O. The switching characteristics have been used to design all-optical NOT, OR, AND and the universal NOR and NAND logic gates for optical computing with two pulsed pump laser beams.
