영재학생들의 지식수준에 따른 과학적 문제해결 전략 분석 (An Analysis of the Scientific Problem Solving Strategies according to Knowledge Levels of the Gifted Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of problem solving strategies that gifted students use in science inquiry problem. The subjects of the study are the notes and presentation materials that the 15 team of elementary and junior high school students have solved the problem. They are a team consisting of 27 elementary gifted and 29 middle gifted children who voluntarily selected topics related to dimple among the various inquiry themes. The analysis data are the observations of the subjects' inquiry process, the notes recorded in the inquiry process, and the results of the presentations. In this process, the knowledge related to dimple is classified into the declarative knowledge level and the process knowledge level, and the strategies used by the gifted students are divided into general strategy and supplementary strategy. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of categorizing gifted students into knowledge level, six types of AA, AB, BA, BB, BC, and CB were found among the 9 types of knowledge level. Therefore, gifted students did not have a high declarative knowledge level (AC type) or very low level of procedural knowledge level (CA type). Second, the general strategy that gifted students used to solve the dimple problem was using deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, finding the rule, solving the problem in reverse, building similar problems, and guessing & reviewing strategies. The supplementary strategies used to solve the dimple problem was finding clues, recording important information, using tables and graphs, making tools, using pictures, and thinking experiment strategies. Third, the higher the knowledge level of gifted students, the more common type of strategies they use. In the case of supplementary strategy, it was not related to each type according to knowledge level. Knowledge-based learning related to problem situations can be helpful in understanding, interpreting, and representing problems. In a new problem situation, more problem solving strategies can be used to solve problems in various ways.

초등수학의 개별학습을 위한 학습자 진단 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (A Design and Implementation of Learner Diagnosis System of mathematics for Elementary School Students Individualized Learning)

  • 본 논문은 초등학생의 수학과 학습능력을 진단하여서 결과에 따라 개별학습을 할 수 있는 LED 시스템 (LEarner Diagnosis system)을 설계 구현한 것이다. 수학과와 같이 위계적으로 학습이 이루어지는 교과는 선수학습을 제대로 성취하지 못하면 후속학습에 곤란을 겪는다. 이를 방지하기 위해 LED 시스템은 학습 전에 학습자의 선수 학습 능력을 진단한다. 진단 결과 학습 결손이 있을 때는 보충학습을 통해 결손을 보충하고 본 주제학습을 한다. 또한 매 학습이 완전학습이 되어 더 이상의 학습결손이 발생하지 않도록 학습 후에도 진단평가를 실시하여 완전학습이 이루어졌을때만 후속학습을 할 수 있도록 한다. LED 시스템을 이용하면 학습자는 학습결손을 방지할 수 있고 완전학습을 하기 때문에 궁극적으로 학습 목표에 도달 할 수 있게 된다.

가상현실 기술을 활용한 객실안전 학습 콘텐츠 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of Cabin Safety Learning Contents Using Virtual Reality Technology (VR))

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and technically implement the design and scenario of cabin safety contents for virtual reality (VR)-based cabin safety learning for aviation service majors. The process for developing VR cabin safety learning contents consisted of a total of four stages: learning stage, research stage, verification stage, and application stage. The cabin safety scenario items for the production of VR learning contents reflected the occurrence of an emergency, the procedure for survival from impact, and the evacuation procedure from the aircraft as the core. For the technical implementation of learning contents, modeling work is conducted by checking scenario reviews, types and numbers of objects related to equipment and facilities, and items of interaction. In addition, the connection work with the actual metaverse platform is carried out to enable the utilization of the manufactured facilities and equipment objects. Finally, application tests were carried out to reconfirm supplementary items.

협동학습에 기반한 사회과를 위한 심화·보충형 수준별 교육 (In-Depth & Supplementary Differentiated Curriculum for Social Studies based on Cooperative Learning)

  • 본 논문에서는 수업 시간에 바로 활용할 수 있는 보다 향상된 사회과 수준별 교육 방안을 제안한다. 현재까지 제시된 수준별 교육방법들이 실제 학교에서 적용되지 못한 이유는 크게 두 가지를 들 수 있다. 하나는 수준별 교육이 개별학습 위주로 이루어져서 학습자는 개별과제 위주의 자율학습을 하고, 교사는 개별과제 개발 및 관리에 시간을 보내게 됨으로써 수준별 교육이 비효율적으로 진행되는 것이다. 다른 하나는 수준별 교육을 위한 수준 판정시 총점에서 기준 점수를 근거로 심화반과 보충반으로 분류함으로써 학습자의 수준을 제대로 구별할 수 없다는 것이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 수준별 수업시 비슷한 수준의 학습자들이 협동학습을 하여 학습효과를 놀이도록 하였고, 소단원별로 평가하여 영역별 수준 학습이 이루어지도록 하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 수준별 교육 방법을 중학교 1학년 사회과 과목에 적용해 본 결과 학업성취도가 향상됨을 확인하였다.

지리 교육 교재로서 지리교과서와 사회과부도의 상호보완성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Mutual Complement between Geography Textbook and Students' Atlas as a Geographic Learning Material)

  • 지리교과서는 부도(atlas)와 함께 공인된 지리 교육 교재로서 교육현장에서 널리 사용되는 책자 형태의 인쇄자료이다. 특히 부도는 지리교과서의 내용을 이해하고 학습하는데 보조적인 역할을 하는 교재로 이해할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 현행 교과서 검정체제하에서 발행되어 교육현장에서 사용하는 교과서와 부도의 상호보완성이 어떻게 구현되며 이와 관련된 문제점은 무엇인지 검토하였다. 지리 교과서와 사회과 부도는 교육과정에 근거하여 편찬되는데 저자들과 제작자들의 교육과정 해석, 교육적 신념과 관심 등에 따라 검정본을 완성하여 제출한다. 검정과정을 통과한 교재는 비로소 교육현장에 배포되어 지리 학습에 활용된다. 교과서와 부도 두 교재의 내용구성은 하나의 교육과정 진술에 대해 다양한 자료가 제시되고 두 교재에 제시된 자료는 상호보완적으로 구성되어 있지만, 때로는 각각의 교과서에 유사한 자료가 제시되거나 교과서에 제시된 자료와 사회과 부도 내용상 구성이 중복되거나 독립적일 수 있다. 현재와 같은 교과서 검정 제도하에서 두 교재가 효율적으로 지리 학습에 활용될 수 있는 방안이 모색되어야 할 것이다.

Design and Implementation of Mathematics Textbooks in Support of Effective Teaching for Secondary Schools: A Chinese Case

  • Mathematics textbook plays a significant role in shaping students' learning of mathematics. Logic, rigor and abstraction as typical features of the formalization of mathematics, dominate mathematics textbooks around the world, which is regarded as one of the important origins of students' learning difficulties in mathematics. An innovative series of Chinese mathematic textbooks is presented in this paper. Supported by the supplementary materials excerpts from the textbooks, it gives a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the principles of design and implementation of this series of mathematics textbooks. The effectiveness of this series of textbooks is demonstrated by student achievement and secondary research data. It shows that series of Chinese mathematic textbooks has largely decreased students' learning difficulties in mathematics and enhance classroom teaching efficiency. It suggests that prioritizing the essence of mathematics and reducing abstraction is an important notion for mathematics textbook design and implementation.

360° 3D 파노라마 기술을 적용한 VFT 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effects of Virtual Geological Field Trip Program using 360° 3D Panorama Technique)

  • In this study, a Virtual geological Field Trip(VFT) learning program using 3D panorama virtual reality techniques was developed to learn about the Gongju city 7 area located in Chungcheongnam-do, Korea. The developed $360^{\circ}$ 3D VFT program can show every face of observational points and interact as zoom-in, zoom-out and image rotation. For the educational effects of the materials, it is provided with a compass, a protractor, enlarged images, pop-up windows, etc.. The program was applied to the class of 35 gifted students in middle school to investigate the effectiveness of the program. The results showed that positive responses of the students were 90% or more. When geological field trip problems like cost, safety, distance occur in geological learning procedure of middle school science, this VFT program can become as a supplementary learning material and a solution.

A Pragmatic Framework for Predicting Change Prone Files Using Machine Learning Techniques with Java-based Software

  • This study aims to extensively analyze the performance of various Machine Learning (ML) techniques for predicting version to version change-proneness of source code Java files. 17 object-oriented metrics have been utilized in this work for predicting change-prone files using 31 ML techniques and the framework proposed has been implemented on various consecutive releases of two Java-based software projects available as plug-ins. 10-fold and inter-release validation methods have been employed to validate the models and statistical tests provide supplementary information regarding the reliability and significance of the results. The results of experiments conducted in this article indicate that the ML techniques perform differently under the different validation settings. The results also confirm the proficiency of the selected ML techniques in lieu of developing change-proneness prediction models which could aid the software engineers in the initial stages of software development for classifying change-prone Java files of a software, in turn aiding in the trend estimation of change-proneness over future versions.

신입간호사를 위한 투약 간호 e-Learning 프로그램 개발 (Development of an e-Learning Program about Medication for New Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an e-Learning program about medication for nurses to enhance nurses' medication performance ability and to analyze learners' responses after studying with this program. Method: For the development of the e-Learning program, the NBISD(Network Based Instructional Systems Design) model, suggested by Jung(I999) was applied as a basic model and the instruction design theory of Gagne & Briggs(1979) and ARCS theory of Keller(I983) were applied. After the operation of this program for one month to 34 new nurses, learners' responses were analyzed. Result: Learners' knowledge of medication was greatly improved after this program. In addition learners' satisfaction with the overall education program, help in field applicability, ease of screen shift and exploration, and tutor activities were high and the contents were regarded suitable for e-Learning. Many things were advantageous such as easy accessibility, easy understandability with pictures and flash animation, practical cases and feedback from a tutor. Provision of a supplementary handout and improvement of a tight time schedule were pointed out as things to be improved. Conclusion: This e-Learning program can be used effectively for medication education for registered nurses, student nurses, and new nurses.

학습목표에 따른 치아형태학 교재 내용 비교 (Comparative studies of the dental morphology textbooks - Focusing on the learning objectives -)

  • Purpose: This study will examine the differences among the college dental morphology textbooks in light of their contents and learning objectives through which we will propose an optimal way of consolidating those differences found. Methods: Five college textbooks adopted in the dental related departments were selected by random and the overview and subdivisions of contents were compared and closely analysed with regards to the learning objectives. Results: Firstly, all of the dental morphology textbooks cover the learning objectives of the dental morphology subject, especially in the area of the overview of dental morphology, the permanent tooth, deciduous tooth. Only the dentistry textbooks explain the learning objective of the occlusion. Secondly, differences in content were found in the area of component tissue and around tissue, dental formula of deciduous teeth, spinous process, buccal pit, enamel projection, curve symbol, tip of cusp position of proximal surface of permanent mandibular canines, buccal cusp position of permanent mandibular second premolars. Conclusion: It is imperative to delineate some meaningful and critical differences in contents among the dental morphology textbooks and reflect this to each and every textbook to be published as a supplementary information guide or index.
