A Study on the Optimal Waterway System of Port (港灣의 最適入出港線路 시스템에 關한 硏究)

  • The Waterway System for the Very Large Ships is One of the Important System connected between Marine Transport System and Exclusive Terminal. This study analyzed the Turning Configurations and Placement of Fairway Buoys in Waterway at the Port of Kwangyang to make Optimal Suggestion of for Ship's Safe Navigation. The following Conclusions are drawn : 1) In Area Section A, Starboard hand Buoy No14 should be changed its Location and Light Rhythms, and Buoy Nos.13 '||'&'||' 16 are required their Light Rhythms to be changed. 2) Especially in Area Section B located before the Turning Basin, The Location and Light Rhythms of Nos.20 '||'&'||' 22 buoys at Starboard Hand should be changed, Port Hand No.21 also should be done, and East Cardinal Buoy located between Nos.21and 23 should be changed its Light Rhythms, or removed if possible. 3) Buoy no.19 of Lateral Port Hand in Section B should be changed "Preferred Channel to Startboard" to distinguish Main Channel from Secondary One.

Empirical Study on the Induction Effect of Safety Quality Management System for the Shipping Company (해운기업의 안전품질경영체제 도입 성과 실증연구)

  • This document analyses the empirical study result of the safety quality management system(SQMS) induction. This analysis is composed as the following. First of all, we take a brief look at (he present Korean situations after the SQMS induction. Next, we analyse the effect of the SQMS induction, then we indicate the conclusion, suggestion, limits and future course of this study. We divided the effect of induction in 21 factors. The result was 3.5 out of 5 perfect Points, which shows the high preference. Higher points were scored with international companies than domestic ones, the companies accepted before 1998 than the ones after 1998, and large enterprises than smaller ones.

  • The rock mass classification systems used in Korea are not standardized. And also the criteria values differ between agencies. So different opinions for rock mass classification can occur among engineers who participate in each design process. In this research, a new rock mass classification system was suggested to correct these problems. For this purpose, the criteria used in the Korean agencies were compared with the criteria used in foreign agencies and standard criteria were selected. Thereafter rational and objective criteria values were suggested quantitatively for the new classification system.

  • Unlike behaviors that are generally known, information regarding unspecific behaviors is insufficient. For an education or guidance regarding the unspecific behaviors, collection and management of data regarding the unspecific behaviors of special-needs students are needed. In this paper, a consultation management model based on behavior classification of special-needs students using machine learning is proposed. It collects data by photographing the behavior of special students in real time, analyzes the behavior pattern, composes a data set, and trains it in the suggestion system. It is possible to improve the accuracy by comparing the behavior of special students photographed later into the suggestion system and analyzing the results by comparing it with the existing data again. The test has been performed by arbitrarily applying unspecific behaviors that are not stored in the database, and the forecast model has accurately classified and grouped the input data. Also, it has been verified that it is possible to accurately distinguish and classify the behaviors through the feature data of the behaviors even if there are some errors in the input process.

  • A pavement construction process consists of series of lay-down operation for pavement materials to form a designated thickness and compaction operation for the lay-down layer to form a designated strength. A technological breakthrough in pavement compaction equipment was made in last 15 years in western countries: intelligent compaction roller, that is equipped with GPS along with other pavement response sensors is becoming a game-changer in pavement construction. This paper introduces AR system that may be used in asphalt pavement compaction operation using intelligent compactor. Since AR technology is very new concept in road construction society, a suggestion for accompanying education program was also made for specific task group in pavement compaction operation. Since AR technology has not been introduced in asphalt pavement compaction operation, the AR compaction management would lead the construction quality of asphalt pavement to the beyond level.

  • There are various structures in the underground space, and the structures is managed as 3D data in Integrated Underground Geospatial Map Management System(IUGMMS). The worker transmits and updates the integrated map including the changed underground geospatial data to IUGMMS with the completed book submission program. However, there is a problem in that the transmission time and the update time is delayed because the size of the integrated map file is large. In this paper, we try to extract and transmit only the changed integrated map by obtaining and comparing each spatial characteristic information of the integrated map. As a result of the experiment, the transmission time of the suggestion method is short and the update time is also short than the transitional method because the suggestion method transmits only the integrated map including the changed underground geospatial data. As a result, it was possible to reduce the delay time in transmitting and updating the changed integrated map.

  • As B2B (Business to business) develops swiftly, at home as well as in other advanced countries, plans for activating Electronic business are made and proceeded in a national viewpoint. However, it is essential task for the construction, advancement and activation of B2B framework to make an efficient search for differently built -up data from B2C and thus to look for optimal business partner suitable for his/her own business. For this, in the last Aug. of 2001, government has also referred to ebXML, the exchange model for electronic business data based on XML, as a suggestion for B2B framework. The purpose of this study is to develop search system for efficient choice of business partner and this will play an important role for data processing and competitiveness strengthening of small and medium enterprises. Meanwhile, this system is built up by using systemic characteristics registered in ebXML Registry/Repository and ‘question-expanding’ searching ways based on the particulars of business profiles for both objectiveness and maximum efficiency of search result.

  • Service Providers need to monitor the level of consumer's satisfaction on service they provide continuously and they use appropriate method to measure their operating status. They have to make a plan on their resource and infrastructure to provide their service in the right place at the right time whenever they need. Most previous studies on IT service quality are mainly focused on criteria or levels of quality measurement even though those criteria and levels should be set by considering consumer's needs. And considering for consumer's needs with managerial factors was not found on those studies. So, we suggest deducing quality factors for continuous improvement of IT service management system in this paper as identify the relative priority using QFD method which consider consumers' voices and managerial factors when decide quality factors of IT service management system introduced SLA. We also confirm that our suggestion is practicable and applicable for current operation by case study.

Development of Human Sensibility Based Web Agent for On-line Recommendation Service (온라인 추천 서비스를 위한 감성 기반 웹 에이전트 개발)

  • In recent years, with the advent of e-Commerce the need for personalized services and one-to-one marketing has been emphasized. To be successful in increasingly competitive Internet marketplace, it is essential to capture customer loyalty. In this paper, we provide an intelligent agent approach to incorporate human sensibility into an one-to-one recommendation service in cyber shopping mall. Our system exploits human sensibility ergonomics and on-line preference matching technologies to tailor to the customer the suggestion of goods and the description of store catalog. Customizing the system`s behavior requires the parallel execution of several tasks during the interaction (e. g., identifying the customer`s emotional preference and dynamically generating the pages of the store catalog). The recommendation agent system composed of five modules including specialized agents carries on these tasks. By presenting goods that are consistent with user interests as well as user sensibility, the accuracy and satisfaction of the recommendation service may be improved.

  • According to the liberalization of the air transport industry, the operation of airport also takes account of economic efficiency. The owners or the operators of an airport or airport systems want to know what is the best way to achieve the best performance in the aspect of economic efficiency and they are willing to improve the airport operation system. Prerequisite for the improvement of economic efficiency is to measure the performance of not only their own airports but the other airports. This study presents the result of performance measurement of Korean airports. The overall costs performance, labor productivity, capital productivity, revenue performance and profit performance are estimated and interpreted. As conclusions, the suggestion about airport system improvement is presented.
