  • This study aim to suggest how alter the korean traditional image design for umbrellas by sublimation transfer digital textile printing. Umbrellas are highly depend on design and made from polyester fiber which is proper item to utilize sublimation transfer digital textile printing. Sublimation transfer digital textile printing system can use computer system to create the delicate high dense images and one full layout through the hole umbrella. It can create distinctive style of design compare with former screen printing umbrella design. As a result of this study, Korean traditional images were adopted and recreated for umbrellas as the modern practical item. 7 of umbrella designs were developed and sample umbrellas could be produced in short period comparing with screen printing process. Through this study, as green printing process, sublimation transfer digital textile printing will be more applied to manufacture high quality textile products along with design development, thus it is expected as an alternative plan to leads growth of umbrella industries.

  • The stiction phenomena poses a design constraint in surface micromachining by reducing the releasable size of the microstructure. This problem occurs during the fabrication process of surface micromachined microstructures during the wet etch of sacrificial layers. For the prevention of the sticking problem, the microsctructure is released by sublimation after the substitution of the sacrificial layer etchant with a sublimation material heated above its melting temperature. In the sublimation drying method, the sublimation materials such as p-dichlorobenzene, t-butyl alcohol, and cyclohexane are used. In this paper, a method for designing a sublimation drying system is developed, and its performance is experimentally evaluated.

  • We present the low temperature (${\leq}1,000^{\circ}C$) vacuum sublimation behavior of an e-beam evaporative deposited on a SiC film and a method to reduce the vacuum sublimation through an ion beam process. The density of the SiC film deposited using the e-beam evaporation method was ~60% of the density of the bulk source material. We found that the sublimation became appreciable above ${\sim}750^{\circ}C$ under $1.5{\times}10^{-5}$ torr pressure and the sublimation rate increased with an increase in temperature, reaching ~70 nm/h at $950^{\circ}C$ when the coated sample was heated for 5 h. When the film was irradiated with 70 keV N+ ions prior to heating, the sublimation rate decreased to ~23 nm/h at a fluence of $1{\times}10^{17}\;ions/cm^2$. However, a further increase in fluence beyond this value or an extended heating period did not change (decrease or increase) the sublimation rate any further.

  • Freeze drying under vacuum condition is a complex process that involves simultaneous heat and mass transfer, sublimation of ice, and motion of sublimation front. Proper treatment of the motion of sublimation interface is crucial for an accurate prediction of the freeze drying process. Based on the enthalpy formulation that has been successfully used in liquid/solid phase change problems. a fixed grid method. streamlined for the freeze drying analysis. was developed in this study. The accuracy of the fixed grid method was checked by solving a one-dimensional tray freeze drying and a two-dimensional vial freeze drying problem and then comparing the results with those by the moving grid method. Finally. the freeze drying characteristics of two-dimensional slab and axis-symmetric cylinder was investigated using the fixed grid method.

  • AlN crystals were grown by the sublimation process. As grown AlN crystals were the polycrystalline boule in the form of the agglomerate of small AlN single crystalline AlN. As-grown AlN boule has a length about 2${\sim}$3 mm long and a diameter of 1 inch. The carbon impurities were observed on the surface and inside of the grown AlN crystals and the growth behavior was investigated by optical microscopy and SEM observation.

  • AlN crystals were grown by a sublimation process without seed crystals and the growth morphology of them was characterized. The grown AlN crystals were a polycrystalline phase, which had a diameter of $60\sim200\;{\mu}m$ and were grown with a growth rate of $0.2\sim0.5\;{\mu}n/hr$. It was observed that the as-grown crystals had a hexagonal crystal structure and revealed that these crystals were grown with a morphology of columnar morphology in the initial stage of the growth before they were enlarged in a way of a lateral growth behavior in the final stage. On the surface, a lot of pinholes were observed on the surface of crystals grown. The evolution of a growth morphology was characterized by optical and scanning electron microscopic observation.

  • AlN single crystal was thermally treated at $1200^{\circ}C$ and $1500^{\circ}C$ in the ambient gas of nitrogen. AlN single crystal was obtained by sublimation growth process using by a facility having a growth part which was heated by RF (Radio Frequency) induction heating. In this report, the optical microscopic results taken from thermally treated AlN single crystal and FWHM (Full width of half maximum) measured by DCXRD (Double crystal X-ray Diffractometry) were reported.

  • A sublimation model of the freeze drying process, which accounted for the removal of free water, was presented and used to study the operation conditions of freeze driers for carrot juice. It was found that the shortest drying time was obtained when the condenser temperature and chamber pressure were kept at heir lowest values and the plate temperature was controlled independently so that the scorch and melting constraints were both held throughout the drying period. The effect of sample thickness on the drying time was significant. Optimal policies were investigated experimentally in laboratory freeze dryer.

  • In this study, low-cost, high-speed deposition, excellent processability, high mechanical strength and electrical conductivity, chemical stability and corrosion resistance of stainless steel to meet the obsessive-compulsive (0.1 mm or less) were selected CrN thin film. new price reduction to sputter deposition causes - the possibility of sublimation source for inductively coupled plasma Cr rods were attempts by DC bias. 0.6 Pa Ar inductively coupled plasmas of 2.4 MHz, 500 W, keeping Cr Rod DC bias power 30 W (900 V, 0.02 A) is applied, $N_2$ flow rate of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 sccm by varying the characteristics of were analyzed. $N_2$ flow rate increases, decreases and $Cr_2N$, CrN was found to increase. In addition to corrosion resistance and contact resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity was evaluated. corrosion current density than $N_2$ 0 sccm was sure to rise in all, $N_2$ 1 sccm at $4.390{\times}10^{-7}$ (at 0.6 V) $A{\cdot}cm^{-2}$, respectively. electrical conductivity process results when $N_2$ 1 sccm 28.8 $m{\Omega}/cm^2$ with the lowest value of the contact resistance was confirmed that came out. The OES (SQ-2000) and QMS (CPM-300) using a reactive deposition process to add $N_2$ to maintain a uniform deposition rate was confirmed that.

  • We fabricated polymeric hollow spheres having macropores, which combine the advantageous properties of porous materials and hollow spheres. To fabricate such spheres, a polystyrene/methylmethacrylate solution was dispersed in water by vigorously stirring and then the suspension was quenched using liquid nitrogen. Water and methyl methacrylate present in the quenched suspension were readily sublimated by freeze-drying. Conclusively, the hollow-sphere structure and the macropores of its shell were created by the processes of liquid nitrogen-quenching and sublimation of methyl methacrylate domains within the shell, respectively.
