This paper analyzes the effects of college students' preparing for government official recruitment exams on their employment and job characteristics. To this end, Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS) data were used. The main results of this study are summarized as follows. (1) college students preparing for the exams extend their college enrollment period; (2) college students preparing for the exams delay their employment; (3) college students preparing for the exams lower their wages and job satisfactions if they are employed in private sectors. In general, these results are consistent with common concerns. However, the sizes of the effects are less than common concerns.
The purpose of this study is to offer the basic data regarding the problems of the employment training activities and their solutions by way of the research and analysis of the awareness of career development of university students and their preparation for employment opportunities. The results of the study are as follows. First, it is necessary that the students themselves make plans for future jobs and their preparation for them, from the start of their university work. This includes taking employment preparation courses as liberal arts requirements. It also needs to have a systematic association with some organizations such as employment preparation centers. Second, it is necessary that the career portfolios of university students be accepted as materials for objective evaluation so that the companies use them at the time of hiring new employees. If those materials are stored and managed in a database even after their graduation, they will be the strong foundation for the competitive power of the university.Third, it is necessary that university students establish the orientation of employment training in advance, according to their personal and disciplinary possibilities by diagnosing the level of basic employment ability they possess and that they find out the appropriate programs, both personal and disciplinary, to enforce the abilities they need to develop further. Accordingly, it is necessary to have an evaluation system in order to assess student's basic employment abilities, so as to increase the degree of their employment preparation and its support strategy based on the evaluation. Fourth, in the higher education level, university students' lower awareness (M=2.86) of their discipline satisfaction, their major selection, and the university's employment opportunity service shows that it is necessary that there be close connection between learning and work. For short-term purpose, the quantitative and qualitative evaluation must be preceded about the various employment training programs and self-development programs offered by the university. From the long-term perspective, it is urgently necessary that the university ensure the human resources development experts for the purpose of diagnosing employment services within the university.

Data were collected from September 1 to September 30, 2017 using a structural questionnaire, which was completed by 221 nursing students in G city. The data were analyzed though descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis using SPSS version 22.0. The mean scores were as follows: health promotion behaviors, $2.11{\pm}.34$; university life adaptation, $3.47{\pm}.67$; employment strategies, $3.24{\pm}.56$. A positive relationship was observed between the health promotion behaviors and university life adaptation (r=0.437, p<0.001), health promotion behaviors and employment strategies (r=0.536, p<0.001), and university life adaptation and employment strategies (r=0.615, p<0.001). Factors affecting employment strategies of the study participants were university life adaptation, health promotion behaviors, adaptation to environmental changes, and health conditions, which explained about 49.7% of the total. In conclusion, this study showed that employment strategies were correlated with promotion behaviors and university life adaptation. Therefore, it is necessary to improve curriculum, program development and repeat research to improve health promotion behaviors, university life adaptation and employment strategies.
The Purpose of the study was to explore the experience and meaning of employment in the outside hospital of graduates of nursing college with an affiliated hospital. The participants were five senior nursing students, data were collected by three times of Focus group interviews from July, 2017, and analyzed using content analysis. Five Themes and thirteen sub-themes were identified. Implications of the employment experience were 'selection criteria for various employment hospitals according to personal value and experience', 'recognition and reward for hard work', 'influence of hospital name value', 'opportunity to develop own potential', and 'fear coming from employment in non-affiliated hospital'. The results of this study are significant in that it provides basic information that can be taken into account in the employment guidance of nursing college students and the turnover rate of new nurses.
This study investigated the effect of engineering education accreditation on employment rate at the University of Seoul. The graduates who had been educated in the accredited program showed higher grade point average (GPA) and higher employment rate (89.0%) than the graduates who had been educated in the program without the accreditation (70.9%). The employment rate of all graduates increased with increasing GPA, the mathematics-science-computer (MSC) credit acquired, design credit acquired, and the number of interviews with supervising professors. Theses results showed that the MSC and design subjects and the counselling are at least beneficial in getting a job for students at the University of Seoul. When GPA, design credit acquired, and the number of counselling are the same, graduates with the engineering education accreditation showed much higher employment rate than the graduates without the accreditation. These preliminary results suggest that the engineering education programs with accreditation at the University of Seoul are beneficial for students in getting a gob through motivating them to acquire more credits in design subjects, doing greater number of counselling with supervising professors, and making better academic achievement. In addition, the engineering education accreditation at the University of Seoul helped students developing their personal skills such as team workability, communication skills, and creativity via carrying out design subjects, which may affect the employment rate indirectly.

The results indicated that importance of establishing a bridge between overseas employment and domestic employment with providing specific information of domestic job recruiting process. It is also emphasized that informing extra available job placements for the students is vital. Purpose: We investigated the motivation of selecting major, the satisfaction of major and the view on occupation of emergency medical technology (EMT) students. The results of study will be used to increase the satisfaction of major of university students. Also, it can be used to support decision of major for high school students. Method: We conducted 1,586 surveys from 665 students at six four-year colleges and 921 students at seven three-year colleges. Our research period was from Aug. 27th to Oct. 31st in 2010. The surveys were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 using description statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe and Pearson correlation coefficient. Result: In our study, the motivation of selecting major is 35.8% of students selected 'good employment prospects', satisfaction of major's $M{\pm}SD$ is $3.15{\pm}.486$, adaptation of major's $M{\pm}SD$ is $3.11{\pm}.472$. The satisfaction of major show difference (t = 4.548 p = .000) by sex, also the adaptation of major show difference (t = 2.279, p = .023) by sex. The satisfaction of major show first grade students higher (F = 3.605, p = .013) than fourth grade students at four-year colleges. If satisfaction of major is high, accumulation evaluation score is high (F = 3.276, p = .011), too. Clinical practice experienced students was higher (t = -2.878, p = .004) than non experienced it satisfaction. In view of occupation, ideal job's factors and actual job's factors a lot of students selected 'aptitude'. Also, there is a statistically significant correlation (r = .618, p = .000) between the satisfaction of major and the adaptation of major. High satisfaction indicates high adaptation of major. Conclusion: In our study satisfaction of major and adaptation of major was very high score. EMT students concern about employment prospects at most. It is inferred that they select job which match with one's aptitude. We can suppose that students select major as a tool for employment by seeing result that a lot of students consider employment prospects at most when they select major. A method to improve the satisfaction and adaptation of major should be developed by realizing problems which occur the dissatisfaction of major. Also, there as on why students conflict between ideal and actual job should be revealed. There as on seems students want stable occupation in unstable job market situation. Therefore, the expansion of job matching aptitude and being stable should be processed. Finally, university should actively support the method that help to finding jobs for student by identifying job preparation of students.
