  • The purpose of this study is to identify the moderate effect of Ego gram between perceived stress and depression from university student according to smokers/non-smokers. The result of study shows the strong association between stress and depression. On the other hand, the moderated effect of Ego gram was different in the smoking and non-smoking groups. In the non-smoker group, the CP tendency which is pursued strictly control by oneself had a moderating effect on depression, and in the smoker group, the A tendency, which had excellent adaptability, creativity, and autonomy, reduced depression. On the other hand, in the smoking group, the AC tendency also showed a significant moderating effect. It is reported that a high AC tendency may cause a feeling of helplessness about the situation and cause negative emotions to conform to reality. This suggests that the individual's ego state to approach emotional state such as stress and depression should be considered together.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the interactive patterns between teacher and students in middle school earthh science classroom, identify difference of discourse types between earthh science classes taught by majored and non-majored teacher, find the relationship between the discourse pattern and the type of teachers' questions. For that purpose, the participants in this study included four teachers and their students of three middle schools in Seoul. The data consisted of two parts. First, we categorized interaction between teacher and students into the types of discourses by the use of Mortimer and Scott's analytical framework(2003). Second, we classified teachers' questions into four different types of question based on MNeill & Pimentel's classification scheme(2009) to examine for the relationship between the discourse pattern and the type of teachers' questions. As a result, all teachers used interactive/authoritative discourse most in middle school earth science class. Therefore, there was more authoritative discourse to non-majored teacher in comparison with majored teacher. And study demonstrated that the discourse pattern was more related to feedback about student's response rather than the type of teachers' question. In other words, the dialogic discourse showed up more frequently when the teacher used delayed feedback with positive and accepting attitude.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop understanding-oriented materials based on backward course design model and analyze their effects on 'biology and environment' unit of elementary school science. Backward Design starts from a specification of learning outcomes and decisions on methodology and syllabus are developed from the learning outcomes. This method has a strength maintaining consistency between educational contents-evaluation-learning activities and also promoting student's authentic understanding. The 78 students 6th graders participated in this experiments. Data was collected using project activities, the science academic emotion scale and academic achievement. The collected data was analyzed by t-test and ANCOVA analysis using the SPSS 23 statistical program. The following major conclusions were drawn on the basis of data analysis. First, the experimental group showed a relatively accurate understanding of the contents of science but they could not produce creative output in two project activities. Second, the interaction effect of the instruction based on backward curriculum design and science academic emotion was not significant statistically. Third, the experimental group showed a significant improvement in the academic achievement of 'biology and environment' unit.

  • The evolution of computing environments caused various dharges in our society. The change cj instruction media is one of these effects. WWW using network techndogy is regarded as a pov.powerful tool for rerrote instruction. The methods of utilizing network technologies in design instrudion and design process rould be diversified comparing with those of other general instruction. Computer graphics has been regarded as a very use!u design tool for its accuracy and rapidty. Network can help us to do creative work using cornplter graphics. The merits of this technology are sharing resources and rraking it easy to roIlaborate. Recent cxxnputer graphics instruction has some defects in oontents and methods. The oontents have a weak relationship with other industrial design subjects. From above, the purpose of this thesis is to use computer graphics and netv.urk technology for supporting basic design instruction. Virtual gallery using WWW can be a cyberspare v.tlere the evaluation of results and the exchange of information take plare. This tool makes it easier to oomrunicate and oollaborate with dassmates. A casestudy-Composition with basic objectswas exea.rted by individual for distributed asynchronous rmde. The results of this thesis are summarized for four factors. Rrst, it was easy to transform idea. Serond, student-oriented working was performed. Third, interaction among students was activated. Fourth, not only final results, but also midterm results was oonsidered for evaluation. These methods also have problems as rerent instruction methods, but it rould be used as a instruction tool to compensate for existing instruction methods.
