  • The recent decline in the school-age population has led to a more conservative and conservative approach to the establishment of schools. In the judgment of school establishment, it is required to make a decision method that can make objective and comprehensive judgment of various situations rather than local analysis of a single school. In this changing situation, EduFine system and placement establishment system were introduced to comprehensively analyze the feasibility of student placement and school establishment. However, the EduFine system of the Ministry of Education has few users because it is difficult to use education and it is difficult for users to use. Based on the GIS, the placement establishment system was able to analyze the number of students and the status of apartment buildings in a comprehensive manner. But placement establishment system has been used mainly in support of investment assessment rather than research. Therefore, there is a need to increase the utilization of users by linking two systems or integrating them into one system. In this study, we want to derive the functions to improve the GIS - based layout establishment system through user analysis such as comparative analysis and survey of existing systems. In particular, the purpose of the study is to improve the function of system, to improve the students' placement ability and the school establishment work ability and to improve the user satisfaction.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for a more reasonable health teacher placement policy sending teachers to more appropriate sites, by analyzing the change process of the health teacher placement standards and the problems caused by an unreasonable placement policy. Methods: This study mainly analyzed relevant research data and existing studies focusing on a literature analysis. Results: To date, the placement policy for health teachers has changed, going through expansion, reduction, and retrogression, since its establishment. The standard, placing health teachers only in elementary schools with more than 18 classes, was created in 1952. Despite the expansion of the role of health teachers and the revision of the school health law in 2007, this standard has been applied to date without modification. In the meantime, there have been many problems caused by inappropriate placement of health teachers. It was difficult for health teachers in large schools to carry out proper health education; and, in many schools, passive health management, such as first aid, health tests, and student health management, was mainly executed rather than active health management. Students in small schools were not even given an opportunity to receive health education and health management owing to the absence of health teachers. Also, compared to teachers teaching other subjects, health teachers have had very unfair placement standards. Conclusion: The placement policy for health teachers, which has been applied to the present, has never reflected social change, the increase of student health issues, and the demand from the school area. Although the role of health teachers expanded with the execution of health education, the current placement standards for health teachers are very unreasonable. Accordingly, it is necessary to review the health teacher placement policy in a reasonable manner and to revise the standards considering the reality.

  • This qualitative study explored the causes of student teacher stress during an early childhood teaching practicum and investigated the ways in which student teachers cope with this stress. Four student teachers in the same practicum placement were individually interviewed. The findings revealed that stress arose over a variety of concerns including both lack of professional knowledge related to the teaching practice and the challenges involved in establishing a positive relationship with their cooperating teacher, the parents and staff. The stress experienced by the student teacher was accompanied by physical symptoms such as exhaustion, fatigue, and the onset of vulnerability to colds. However, the students were found to be generally unsuccessful in managing their stress effectively. The results suggest that attempts to improve the practicum environment should be accompanied by academic interests and practical issues related to these stresses and that there is a clear need for programs designed to assist student teachers develop stress management skills.

  • The role of teachers has been explicitly emphasized to implement the vision of sustainable development(SD). Also, it is very important to understand the way student teachers understand SD and how they interpret their own professional task in terms of SD, usually referred to as education for sustainable development(ESD). This study investigated student teachers' perceptions of SD and ESD using group interview. Key findings include, first, that they think SD as development which does not exceed the limits of natural environment, and as wise management of resources/protection of environment for future generations. They also think SD as good thing though they don't understand the contested nature of SD. Second they think ESD as education about SD, but some student teachers say they can't explain ESD. Many student teachers prefer field trip to local examples for both elementary school students and themselves. Also they will teach only what the textbook says about SD and ESD during their school placement and as teachers. So it will be the beginning of ESD in school to include SD in the curriculum for students and student teachers. It is suggested to study student teachers' perception of SD focussing on how they think the relationship between protection of environment and economic growth.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a framework to analyse the educational effects and outcome of the boarding middle school established following the merger and abolition of small schools in rural area. According to the decrease in birth rate and reduction of population in rural area, primary schools have brought about many problems for decrease of number of student, and environment of education have became deteriorated. Accordingly, primary schools be required improvement, and it should be altered placement of schools because it change number of student, distance and time of attending school, and formation of school zone are changed by alternating of human and physical environment. Merger and abolition of primary school is inevitable for change of placement standard to primary school and qualitative improvement of environment of education in rural area. This study suggests 1)educational effects and outcome, 2)changes and benefits of student's living conditions, 3)social effects to local community, and 4)economical efficiency analysis as a new framework to evaluate the validity of establishing a school. It sets up a hypothesis that the students, parents and community satisfy the boarding school in rural area, a school record be improved and the abolition of schools have little effect on community. • This is an empirical research on the effect of the product placement advertisement on the consumption behavior of college students. A structured survey to 342 students in and near Seoul shows that life style of the students significantly matters to the effect. That is, beauty-oriented students are more sensitive to the PPL than other student groups (i.e., career-oriented, saving-oriented, leisure-oriented, or freedom-oriented students). On the other hand, the freedom-oriented students are not sensitive to the PPL at all. Some statistical methods including factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were employed in order to get those results.
