VISUALIZATION OF DISCRETE CONVOLUTION STRUCTURE USING TECHNOLOGY

  • The concept of convolution is a fundamental mathematical concept in a wide variety of disciplines and applications including probability, image processing, physics, and many more. The visualization of convolution for the continuous case is generally predetermined. On the other hand, the convolution structure embedded in the discrete case is often subtle and its visualization is non- trivial. This paper purports to develop the CAS techniques in visualizing the logical structure in the concept of a discrete convolution.

프로그래밍 제어구조 개념 학습을 위한 오개념 순서도 분석 및 적용 (Analysis and Application of Misconception Flowchart for Programming Control Structure Concept Learning)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the misconception flowchart of programming control structure and to suggest it as a method for improving computational thinking. In this study, we divide programming control structure concept into sequential, iteration, selection, and function, analyze what concept and principle are difficult for each learner, and what kind of misconception flowchart is drawn in the Introduction of C Programming course for beginners' programming learning. As an example, we show that a lesson learned from the process of correcting the misconception flowchart to the correct flowchart in the course.

DESIGN STUDY OF AN IHX SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR A POOL-TYPE SODIUM-COOLED FAST REACTOR

  • The IHX (Intermediate Heat eXchanger) for a pool-type SFR (Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor) system transfers heat from the primary high temperature sodium to the intermediate cold temperature sodium. The upper structure of the IHX is a coaxial structure designed to form a flow path for both the secondary high temperature and low temperature sodium. The coaxial structure of the IHX consists of a central downcomer and riser for the incoming and outgoing intermediate sodium, respectively. The IHX of a pool-type SFR is supported at the upper surface of the reactor head with an IHX support structure that connects the IHX riser cylinder to the reactor head. The reactor head is generally maintained at the low temperature regime, but the riser cylinder is exposed in the elevated temperature region. The resultant complicated temperature distribution of the co-axial structure including the IHX support structure may induce a severe thermal stress distribution. In this study, the structural feasibility of the current upper support structure concept is investigated through a preliminary stress analysis and an alternative design concept to accommodate the IHTS (Intermediate Heat Transport System) piping expansion loads and severe thermal stress is proposed. Through the structural analysis it is found that the alternative design concept is effective in reducing the thermal stress and acquiring structural integrity.

  • 생산 기술의 발전과 함께, 날로 다양해지고 복잡해져 가는 소비자의 니즈를 제품 개발 과정에서 반영해야 할 필요성이 점차 높아져 가고 있다. 그러나, 마케팅적 관점에 그 기초를 두고 구조화되고 있는 현재의 소비자 니즈 체계는 제품 개발 단계에서 응용하기에는 너무 추상적이고 범주적인 성격을 가진다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 인지과학/인지심리학 이론을 중심으로 하여, 제품 컨셉 수립 단계에서 실제적으로 응용할 수 있도록 소비자 니즈를 구조화하는 방법론을 수립하고, 니즈 구조화에 대한 가이드라인을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구를 통해 규명된 발견 점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존의 분류 기준과 같이 소비자 니즈의 범주뿐 아니라 실제적인 니즈의 속성까지를 구조화하기 위해서는, 소비자에 대한 제품의 실제적 의미에 해당하는 감성 개념을 구조 내에 포함시켜야 한다. 또한, 이와 같은 개념 하에 수립된 니즈 구조를 감성 니즈 구조라고 정의할 수 있다. 둘째, 개념의 범주화는 상징적 개념을 중심으로 한 본질적 개념과 외연적 개념의 결합을 통하여 이루어질 수 있다. 이러한 가설을 바탕으로 하면, 감성 니즈 구조는 가치 컨셉(본질적 개념), 소비자 니즈(외연적 개념)가 감성(상징적 개념)과 결합함으로써 이루어질 수 있다.

간호전문직에서의 역할의 개념분석 (Concept Analysis of the Role in Nursing Profession)

  • Purpose : Nursing profession has been rapidly changed due to the development of bioscience and the change of medical service environment. Nursing profession that has been focused on only care giver's role like mother's in tradition, is required careful reflection new nursing role to cope properly to the change of medical service environment. In nursing profession, the concept of the role was used without an accurate definition, as a results, the concept of the role was mixed with the concept of the "activity", "job" and "function". Therefore, concept analysis of the role in nursing profession is needed to remove conceptual ambiguous and make confirm the true meaning of the role. Concept analysis is a strategy that examine the characteristics of a concept. It is a formal linguistic exercise to determine those defining attributes. The basic purpose of concept analysis is to clarify ambiguous concept in theory, and propose operational definition which reflects the theoretical base of the concept. Method : In this study, the concept of the role in nursing profession which was analyzed based on the steps of concept analysis by Walker & Avant(1988). Results : The attributes of the concept of the role in nursing profession are : 1. Basic factors to construct social structure. 2. Expected attitudes, values, behavior patterns according to the social status and position in social structure. 3. Perceptive attitudes, values, behavior patterns in order to social interaction. 4. Acquiring through continuous communication and learning. 5. Not fixative but changeable. The antecedents of the role in nursing profession are : 1. The social status and position which is possessed by a person. 2. Expected attitudes, values, behavior patterns according to the social status and position in social structure. 3. Acquiring through continuous interaction, communication, and learning process. And the consequences of the role in nursing profession are : 1. The role maintenance and the role expansion as a positive consequences. 2. The role conflict and the role loss as a negative consequences. Conclusion : Through this concept analysis, the concept of the role in nursing profession is defined as As basic factors to construct social structure, person's attitudes, values, behavior patterns which are expected from other social members according to person's social status and position, and perceived and acquired through continuous interaction, communication, and leaning process.

신개념 머시닝센터의 신뢰성 향상 설계기술 (High Reliability Design for New Concept Machining Center)

  • In this paper, the capability index is introduced in order to improve the reliability of new concept machine tools and the method to improve the machine accuracy from the analysis of cutting process, statistical methodology and influence factors are proposed. In addition, the rib structure of bed and column in machine tools is analyzed by using the thermal impact method in order to analogize the rib pattern which has the small thermal deformation under thermal boundary condition. In the analysis of column rib structure, thermal boundary condition is separated to heat conduction and heat transfer to appropriate real boundary condition. Finally, performance chart of bed and column rib structure is provided for designer to estimate each rib pattern and select rib structure appropriating to thermal condition.

미디어 융합 환경 하에서 창의적인 콘텐츠 생산그룹의 구성에 관한 연구 (Constructing Content Producing Group with Creativity under Media Convergence Environments)

  • This paper aims to propose a framework of content creating group with creativity under new convergence environments. The framework is built based on content concept hierarchy(deep/surface) relating with the creativity of group members. The diversity of group members(potential creativity) decrease and change into creative abilities in one unified view at each content concept hierarchy in time. To do this, three methods of building a creative group(interaction-base, direction-base, hybrid) are proposed. Cooperating processes and operators are designed to promote creative abilities in the content producing group. These cooperations are considering new media convergence industry's job road map(IPTV) and fundamental content attributes(semantic, narrative, discourse). In the framework, creative content is produced with the help of member's cultural openness, media richness and synchronicity, hierachical adaptability on dissimilarity. Deep level creativity of cognitive semiotics on moving image content is composed of psychological, transformational, situational creating abilities in the structure of group members. Designing analogy, metaphor, symbol operators help members to traverse deep structure of content concept hierarchy. Our framework has strong points to relate fundamental content deep structure with structure of content producing group and to induce creativity on cognitive structure of human being.

  • Structure of product, which is not considered by easy of assembly, has many hidden costs. For reduction of hidden costs, concepts of line balancing and assembly-oriented design are used. We find that part of structure can be improved by concept of line balancing. To reduce assembly time and enhance easy of assembly, design principles are developed by concept of assembly-oriented design. And design principles for improvement are applied according to condition of the grasped parts of product structure. Thersfore, we could design assembly-oriented design for better structure and low cost.

  • Because submarine is high-technology and very complex system, it takes a lot of time, cost and manpower for design. For efficient concept design, application of systematic method is required such as system engineering. In this study, we studied application method of MBSE for submarine concept design with SWBS (Ship Work Breakdown Structure). Components of submarine system from SWBS were classified and organized as system architecture with 'Vitech CORE'. Through the MBSE application for concept design, systematic, efficient and traceable concept design of submarine was considered.

개념정보를 포함한 포괄적 DTD 생성기의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Concept Information Based Universal DTD Generator)

  • 인터넷상에는 다양한 정보 자원들이 존재하고 있으며 최근에는 XML에 대한 관심이 날로 증가하고 있다. XML은 정보의 구조를 자유롭게 정의할 수 있기 때문에 동일한 응용영역을 표현하는 문서들은 상호 이질적이므로 문서들의 특성에 맞는 각각의 응용프로그램이 필요하다. 만일, 특정 정보를 표현하는 XML문서에 적용되는 DTD가 개념정보를 포함하고 있다면 문서의 구조에 자유롭게 적용될 수 있으므로 상호 이질적인 문제를 극복할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 개념정보가 포함된 포괄적 DTD를 자동으로 생성하기 위하여 DTD생성기를 개발하였다. 또한 응용영역을 개념화하여 포괄적 DTD를 생성하는데 사용하였다. 포괄적 DTD는 개념정보를 포함하고 있으므로 동일 응용영역 표현하는 다른 구조의 XML 문서에 모두 적용될 수 있으며, 문서의 유효성을 검증하고, 유연한 응용프로그램의 접근이 가능하게 하였다.
