16-QAM 신호에 대한 이중 구조 CR-CMA 적응 등화기의 성능 (The Performance of Dual Structure CR-CMA Adaptive Equalizer for 16-QAM Signal)

  • 본 논문은 기존 블라인드 등화기의 성능인 수렴 특성과 잔류 부호간 간섭의 영향을 경감시키기 위해 축소 신호점을 사용하고 비용 함수를 실수부와 허수부로 분리하여 처리하는 한 이중 구조 CR-CMA(Constellation Reduction CMA)에 관한 것이다. 기존의 CMA는 진폭만을 보상하고 위상은 보상을 하지 못하며, 이를 해결하기 위해 MCMA(Modified CMA)는 비용 함수만을 실수부와 허수부를 따로 처리하여 진폭과 위상을 보상하지만 진폭의 보상 능력과 초기 수렴 속도에서는 CMA보다 성능이 열악해지는 문제점이 있다. 제안하는 이중 구조 CR-CMA는 CMA와 MCMA(Modified CMA) 알고리즘 장점만을 살릴 수 있도록 비용 함수와 오차 함수를 실수부와 허수부로 나누어 처리하고 축소 신호점을 적용할 수 있도록 개량하여 진폭과 위상의 보상, 빠른 수렴 속도 및 잔류 ISI와 MD(Maximum Distortion) 량의 감소 그리고 MSE(Mean Square Error)와 양호한 심볼 오류율 (SER : symbol error ratio) 특성을 얻을 수 있음을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 확인하였다.

  • The light diffusion component spreads the light from one point evenly over a large area. Various types of light diffusion parts such as films and lenses are applied in the high-tech industries such as LCD display devices, lighting devices, and solar energy generation. Among these, a diffuser sheet (Diffuser Sheet) has a function to uniformly distribute the light, and various studies have been conducted to improve its function. The shape of the conventional light diffusion pattern is mainly made of a dot or hemispherical shape. In this study, a rectangular cone-shaped structure having a light diffusion function and an advantage of controlling the angle of refraction of light was fabricated by using a solenoid indentation process. The change in shape of the indentation structure was analyzed.

Toward the Virtual Screening of α-Glucosidase Inhibitors with the Homology-Modeled Protein Structure

  • Discovery of $\alpha$-glucosidase inhibitors has been actively pursued with the aim to develop therapeutics for the treatment of diabetes and the other carbohydrate mediated diseases. As a method for the discovery of new novel inhibitors of $\alpha$-glucosidase, we have addressed the performance of the computer-aided drug design protocol involving the homology modeling of $\alpha$-glucosidase and the structure-based virtual screening with the two docking tools: FlexX and the automated and improved AutoDock implementing the effects of ligand solvation in the scoring function. The homology modeling of $\alpha$-glucosidase from baker’s yeast provides a high-quality 3-D structure enabling the structure-based inhibitor design. Of the two docking programs under consideration, AutoDock is found to be more accurate than FlexX in terms of scoring putative ligands to the extent of 5-fold enhancement of hit rate in database screening when 1% of database coverage is used as a cutoff. A detailed binding mode analysis of the known inhibitors shows that they can be stabilized in the active site of $\alpha$- glucosidase through the simultaneous establishment of the multiple hydrogen bond and hydrophobic interactions. The present study demonstrates the usefulness of the automated AutoDock program with the improved scoring function as a docking tool for virtual screening of new $\alpha$-glucosidase inhibitors as well as for binding mode analysis to elucidate the activities of known inhibitors.

모듈환된 웨이블렛 신경망의 적응 구조 설계 (Adaptive Structure of Modular Wavelet Neural Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 F-투영과 기하학적인 성장 기준을 이용하여 모듈화된 웨이블렛 신경망(MWNN)의 적응구조를 설계하기 위한 성장과 소거 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기하학적인 성장 알고리즘은 지역 오차를 고려한 추정 에러 기준과 이미 존재하는 다른 웨이블렛 함수와 근사적인 직교성을 보장하도록 웨이블렛 함수를 배열할 수 있는 각도 기준으로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 기준은 망의 설계자가 설계자의 의도대로 MWNN을 구성할 수 있는 방법론을 제시한다. 제안한 성장 알고리즘은 모듈과 모듈의 크기를 성장시킨다. 또한 소거 알고리즘은 MWNN의 모듈에 사용되는 웨이블렛 신경망의 지역화 특성에 기인한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 구성된 MWNN에서 불필요한 모듈의 노드나 모듈을 제거한다. 제안한 MWNN의 적응 구조 설계 알고리즘을 1, 2차원 대상 함수에 적용하여 성능을 검증하였다.

대도시 도심의 토지용도별 지가구조 분석: 대구시 중구의 사례 (An Analysis of Land Price Structure by Land Use in Urban Center of Metropolis: The Case of Jung Gu, Daegu City)

  • 이 연구는 2013년 개별공지시가 자료를 활용하여 대구시 중구를 사례로 대도시 도심의 토지용도별 지가구조를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 지가구조가 토지용도에 따라 상당한 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 도심의 지가는 좁은 공간에도 불구하고 필지에 따라 변동성이 매우 크지만, 이것은 상업용지에 해당하는 것으로 주거용지나 주상복합용지에는 해당하지 않는다. 지가의 거리조락 역시 상업용지는 매우 크게 나타나지만, 주거용지나 주상복합용지는 거리조락 현상이 거의 없다. 주거용지와 주상복합용지는 지가최고점(PLVI)으로부터 가까울수록 지가가 오히려 하락하는 분화구 현상이 발견된다. 선형화한 지가함수의 회귀식에서도 상업용지와 업무용지는 지가의 거리 설명력이 크지만 주거용지나 주상복합용지는 거리 설명력도 미미하고, 특히 기울기가 음이 아닌 양의 값을 갖는다. 따라서 지금까지 일반적으로 상정되어 온 지가구조는 상업용지에는 유효하지만, 주거용지나 주상복합용지에는 유효하지 않다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 지가함수에 의한 토지용도의 분화 예측은 실제 토지이용 상황에 상당히 부합하여 알론소의 입찰지대이론의 현실적 적합성이 확인된다.

비특이화 간접경계적분방정식 방법을 이용한 부유식 구조물의 유체동역학적 거동에 대한 주파수영역 해석 (Frequency Domain Analysis for Hydrodynamic Responses of Floating Structure using Desingularized Indirect Boundary Integral Equation Method)

  • In this paper, a Rankine source method is applied and validated to analyze the hydrodynamic response of a three-dimensional floating structure in the frequency domain. The boundary value problems for radiation and diffraction problem are solved by using a desingularized indirect boundary integral equation method (DIBIEM). The DIBIEM is simpler and faster than conventional methods based on the numerical surface integration of Green's function because the singularities of Green's function are located outside of fluid regions. In case of floating structure with complex geometry, it is difficult to desingularize the singularities of Green's function consistently. Therefore a mixed approach is carried out in this study. The mixed approach is partially desingularized except singularities of the body. Wave drift loads are calculated by the middle-field formulation method that is mathematically simple and has fast convergence. In order to validate the accuracy of the developed program, various numerical simulations are carried out and these results are analyzed and compared with previously published calculations and experiments.

Bacterial Community Structure and Function Shift in Rhizosphere Soil of Tobacco Plants Infected by Meloidogyne incognita

  • Root-knot nematode disease is a widespread and catastrophic disease of tobacco. However, little is known about the relationship between rhizosphere bacterial community and root-knot nematode disease. This study used 16S rRNA gene sequencing and PICRUSt to assess bacterial community structure and function changes in rhizosphere soil from Meloidogyne incognita-infected tobacco plants. We studied the rhizosphere bacterial community structure of M. incognita-infected and uninfected tobacco plants through a paired comparison design in two regions of tobacco planting area, Yuxi and Jiuxiang of Yunnan Province, southwest China. According to the findings, M. incognita infection can alter the bacterial population in the soil. Uninfested soil has more operational taxonomic unit numbers and richness than infested soil. Principal Coordinate Analysis revealed clear separations between bacterial communities from infested and uninfested soil, indicating that different infection conditions resulted in significantly different bacterial community structures in soils. Firmicutes was prevalent in infested soil, but Chloroflexi and Acidobacteria were prevalent in uninfested soil. Sphingomonas, Streptomyces, and Bradyrhizobium were the dominant bacteria genera, and their abundance were higher in infested soil. By PICRUSt analysis, some metabolism-related functions and signal transduction functions of the rhizosphere bacterial community in the M. incognita infection-tobacco plants had a higher relative abundance than those uninfected. As a result, rhizosphere soils from tobacco plants infected with M. incognita showed considerable bacterial community structure and function alterations.

  • In this paper, we propose a variable structure control approach for the system with matched and unmatched uncertainty. By using time-varying sliding mode, the reaching mode is removed, and the design methodology represents a realistic design approach with quadratic criterion for systems incorporating both matched and unmatched uncertainties. The criterion contains states and linear part of input for all time. The practical application of the control strategy is presented in the design of a stability augmentation system for an aircraft is presented.

  • The base-collector capacitance of an npn bipolar transistor in bipolar or BiCMOS technology has significant influence on the switching performances, and comprises pnjunction component and MOS component. Both components have complicated dependences on the isolation oxide structure, epitaxial doping density, and bias voltage. Analytical/empirical formulas for both components are derived in this paper for a generic isolation structure as a function of epitaxial doping density and bias voltage based on some theoretical understanding and two-dimensional device simulations. These formulas are useful in estimating the effect of device isoation schemes on the switching speed of bipolar transistors.

  • This paper describes the application of the variable structure control(VSC) concept for the position control of electro-hydraulic servomtor system. The basic philosopy of VSC is that the structure of the feedback control is altered as the state crosses discontinuity surfaces in the state surface with the result that certain desirable properties are achieved. The switching of the control function yields total(or selective) invariance to system parameter variations and disturbances, and closed loop eigen value placement in time-varing and uncertain systems.
