The design and implementation of the personalized service agent using user information (사용자 정보를 활용한 개인 맞춤형 에이전트의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper we introduce a design and implementation of an agent for multimedia retrieval and personalized broadcasting service. It is compliant with TV Anytime Forum specifications and supports searching location resolving, storing and streaming of remote multimedia contents. For this service, we implemented a contents server, a 메타데이터 database server, a location resolution server and a client terminal is implemented The Client terminal gathers content information by SOAP of operation, and it has a user preference module and usage history module that make user information. The personalize service agent recommends suitable contents to user by similarity algorithm.

  • 본 논문에서는 기준 영상은 방송 스트림으로 전송하고, 부가 영상은 스트리밍 콘텐츠 형태로 수신측에 전달하여 3DTV 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 하이브리드 3DTV 시스템을 제안한다. 부가 영상을 파일 기반으로 수신측에 전달할 경우 전체 파일을 다운로드해야만 3DTV 서비스 이용이 가능하다는 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 MPEG DASH 규격을 이용하여 부가 영상을 전송하였다. 또한 서로 다른 전송망을 기반으로 전달되는 기준 영상과 부가 영상을 프레임 단위로 동기화하기 위한 정보를 실시간 방송 스트림에 포함하여 기준 영상 전송 시 함께 전송하였다. 이와 같은 방법으로 스트리밍 콘텐츠 기반 하이브리드 3DTV 송신 및 수신 시스템을 구현한 결과 사용자가 서비스에 접근 시점부터 부가 영상 데이터를 수신하고 이를 기준 영상과 동기화하여 3DTV 서비스의 제공이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • In case of the service of the existing PC package game, the production cost and distribution cost is high, the illegal copies by Internet is widespread. To prevent, game production companies and distributors provide a GOD(Games On Demand) service that players download the game content by internet to play games. But, there is little research on current status of GOD service in the country. Therefore, in this paper, we define GOD service, analyse the structure of GOD service, describe domestic current status and research on the problem and solutions of GOD service. This paper gives useful information to companies providing GOD.

Meta-trailed Caching for Transcoding Proxies (트랜스코딩 프록시를 위한 메타데이터 추가 캐슁)

  • Transcoding video proxy is necessary to support various bandwidth requirements for mobile multimedia and to provide adapting video streams to mobile clients. Caching algorithms for proxy are to reduce the network traffic between the content servers and the proxy. This paper proposes a Meta-tailed caching for transcoding proxy that is efficient to lower network load and CPU load. Caching of two different data types - transcoded video, and metadata - provides a foundation to achieve superior balance between network resource and computation resource at transcoding proxies. Experimental results show that the Meta-tailed caching lowers at least 10% of CPU-load and at least 9% of network-load at a transcoding proxy.

  • A study has been carried out electrical conduction properties of synthetic fluids No. 2 of KS class VII used for insulating and cooling the power device. BTA(Benzotrizole) as the streaming electrification suppressant additive is added to the oil, and the change of physical and electrical properties due to different BTA concentration is investgated. From the result of FTIR spectrum, it is confirmed that the absorpption peak in wavenumber 3400-3450[cm$\sub$-1/] is smaller and disappered by adding BTA to the oil. It is considered that the effective content of BTA is about 10[ppm] from the result of electrical conduction experiment.

  • 최근 콘텐츠 전송 네트워크(content delivery network, CDN)와 클라우드 컴퓨팅(cloud computing)을 결합하여 효과적으로 콘텐츠를 전달하기 위한 방법이 대두되고 있으며 이와 같이 클라우드 컴퓨팅과 결합하여 서비스되는 CDN을 클라우드 CDN 이라고 칭한다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 CDN 환경에서의 효과적인 가상 머신 (virtual machine, VM) 관리를 위한 캐시서버(caching server)로써의 VM의 네트워크 I/O 성능 분석을 다룬다. 해당 성능 분석은 엔드 유저(end-user)들과 캐시서버 간 동영상 스트리밍(streaming)을 통하여 이루어졌으며 해당 캐시 서버의 네트워크 I/O 성능에 영향을 주는 다양한 경우에 대하여 진행되었다. 본 논문에서의 성능 분석은 클라우드 CDN 환경에서의 데이터센터(datacenter) 선택 및 요청 라우팅(routing) 등에 적용될 수 있다.

  • Animated images formats such as WebP are highly portable graphics formats that are being used everywhere on the Internet. Despite their small sizes and duration, WebP image previews the video without watching the entire content with minimum bandwidth. This paper proposed a novel method to generate personalized WebP images in the client side using its computation resources. The proposed system automatically extracts the WebP image from climax point using music analysis. Based on user interest, the system predicts the genre using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The proposed method can easily integrate with streaming platforms such as YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and others.

  • The development of speech recognition processing technology has been applied and used in various video and streaming services along with STT and TTS technologies. However, there are high barriers to clear written expression due to the use of dialects and overlapping of stop words, exclamations, and similar words for voice recognition of actual conversation content. In this study, for ambiguous dialects in speech recognition, we propose a speech recognition technology that applies dialect key word dictionary processing method by category and dialect prosody as speech recognition network model properties.

Target Advertisement based on a TV Viewer's Profile Inference and TV Anytime Metadata (시청자 프로파일 추론과 TV Anytime 메타데이타를 이용한 표적 광고)

  • The traditional broadcasting services over terrestrial, satellite and cable media have been unidirectional mass media regardless of TV viewer's preferences. Recently ich media streaming has become possible via the broadb and networks. Furthermore, since bidirectional communication is possible, personalcasting such as personalized streaming services has been emerging by taking into account the user's preference on content genres, viewing times and actors/actresses etc. Accordingly, personal media becomes an important means for content provision service in addition to the traditional broadcasting service as mass media. In this paper, we introduce a user profile reasoning method for target advertisement which is considered an important application in personalcasting service. The proposed user profile reasoning method predicts an unknown TV viewer's gender and ages by analyzing TV Viewing history data. Based on the estimated user's gender and ages, a target advertisement is provided with TV Anytime metadata. A proposed target advertisement system is developed based on the user profile reasoning and the target advertisement selection method. To show the effectiveness of our proposed methods, we present a plenty of experimental results by using realistic TV viewing history data.

  • Recent developments in computer graphics technology and image processing technology have increased interest in point cloud technology for inputting real space and object information as three-dimensional data. In particular, point cloud technology can accurately provide spatial information, and has attracted a great deal of interest in the field of autonomous vehicles and AR (Augmented Reality)/VR (Virtual Reality). However, in order to provide users with 3D point cloud contents that require more data than conventional 2D images, various technology developments are required. In order to solve these problems, an international standardization organization, MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group), is in the process of discussing efficient compression and transmission schemes. In this paper, we provide a region division transfer method of 3D point cloud content through extension of existing MPEG-DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP)-SRD (Spatial Relationship Description) technology, quality parameters are further defined in the signaling message so that the quality parameters can be selectively determined according to the user's request. We also design a verification platform for ROUTE (Real Time Object Delivery Over Unidirectional Transport)/DASH based heterogeneous network environment and use the results to validate the proposed technology.
