The market competition of express package deliveries in Korea is severe because a large number of companies have entered into the market. This study thus suggests an approach to the reconfiguration of express service networks with respect to the strategy partnership of closing/keeping service centers among companies involved and the adjustments of their cutoff times. For this we propose an integer programming model and a genetic algorithm based solution procedure for allowing companies involved to maximize their incremental profit. An illustrative numerical example is presented to demonstrate the practicality and efficiency of the proposed model.

본 연구에서는 통신망의 음성품질 기준을 설정하기 위하여, 음성품질 열화요인 중 음량정격 및 측음 마스킹 정격에 대한 일련의 주관평가를 실시하여, 음량정격과 평균 오피니언 점수 및 측음 마스킹 정격과 평균 오피니언 점수와의 상관을 구하였다. 또한 음성품질에 대한 사용자 백분율을 도출하여 사용자의 오피니언을 기본으로 하는 음성품질 기준을 제안하였다.

Tourism has been considered as the largest industry in the world, which is contributing towards employment generation, wealth creation and pursuing social benefits. Growing concern about the impact of human activities upon the environment, increased awareness of and concern for global environment have intensified the demand for sustainable tourism and their focus on balancing of: profit-driven motives, preserving and enhancing the social as well as ecological balance. Based on secondary materials and content analysis present study evaluated existing status of sustainable tourism development and explored important change strategies for future improvement of tourism sector in Bangladesh. The study recognized different views of change management and various strategies for obtaining sustainability in tourism industry. The present study identified the institutional networks, challenges in the way of applying systems approach to change management for sustainable tourism development and suggested important options for overcoming the impediments to operate through the proposed strategic framework in Bangladesh.

In this paper, we study the distributed cooperative caching for Internet content providers in a small cell of heterogeneous network (HetNet). A general framework based on bankruptcy game model is put forth for finding the optimal caching policy. In this framework, the small cell and different content providers are modeled as bankrupt company and players, respectively. By introducing strategic decisions into the bankruptcy game, we propose a caching value assessment algorithm based on analytic hierarchy process in the framework of bankruptcy game theory to optimize the caching strategy and increase cache hit ratio. Our analysis shows that resource utilization can be improved through cooperative sharing while considering content providers' satisfaction. When the cache value is measured by multiple factors, not just popularity, the cache hit rate for user access is also increased. Simulation results show that our approach can improve the cache hit rate while ensuring the fairness of the distribution.

Since multi-access edge computing (MEC) was established as a key enabler of 5G, MEC based on 5G networks (5G MEC) has been perceived as a new business opportunity for many industry players, including telecom operators. Numerous 5G MEC cooperation announcements among companies playing their respective roles in the MEC ecosystem have been recently released. However, because of cooperative and competitive relationships among key players in the MEC ecosystem and the uncertainty of 5G MEC, the announcement of 5G MEC cooperation can negatively affect the telecom operators' firm value. This study investigates the market reaction to announcements of 5G MEC cooperation for telecom operators using an event study methodology. The empirical results show that announcements of 5G MEC cooperation have a negative impact on the telecom operators' firm value. The results also show that the early deployment of 5G networks may reduce the negative impact of 5G MEC cooperation announcements by reducing uncertainty.

Customer networks go through constant changes. They may expand or shrink once they are formed. In dynamic environments, it is a critical corporate challenge to identify and manage influential customer groups in a cost effective way. In this context, we apply inverse optimization theory to suggest an efficient method to manage customer networks. In this paper, we assume that there exists a subset of nodes that might have a large effect on the network and that the network can be modified via some strategic actions. Rather than making efforts to find influential nodes whenever the network changes, we focus on a subset of selective nodes and perturb as little as possible the interaction between nodes in order to make the selected nodes influential in the given network. We define the following problem based on the inverse optimization. Given a graph and a prescribed node subset, the objective is to modify the structure of the given graph so that the fixed subset of nodes becomes a minimum dominating set in the modified graph and the cost for modification is minimum under a fixed norm. We call this problem the inverse dominating set problem and investigate its computational complexity.

본 연구에서는 2014년도 대졸자직업이동경로조사 자료를 활용하여 대졸 신입사원의 구직경로가 첫 일자리 직업적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 검증하고자 하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 구직경로에서 인적 네트워크를 활용했을 때 비인적 네트워크에서보다 교육수준 적합성과 전공 일치도가 높게 나타났으며, 또한 직장만족도와 업무만족도도 높게 나타났다. 둘째, Sobel-Test를 통해 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 기술수준 적합성을 제외한 교육수준 적합성과 전공 일치도가 구직경로와 직업적응 사이에서 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 인적 네트워크가 구인과 구직 사이에 직무적합성에 대한 정보전달 통로로 작용함으로써 첫 일자리 직업적응도를 높이는데 기여하고 있음이 확인되었다. 이러한 분석결과는 구직 활동에서 인적 네트워크의 전략적인 활용이 중요하며, 대학 또는 고용서비스기관의 진로관련 프로그램에서도 인적 네트워크 활용의 중요성과 방법 등을 체계적으로 교육하고 경험할 수 있도록 하여야 함을 시사하고 있다.

IT 산업에서 기업들 간에 존재하는 네트워크의 복잡성과 변동성이 고도화되면서, 동시에 네트워크의 중요성도 증가하고 있다. 기존 연구에서는 기업 간의 거래 관계를 분석하여 전략 및 정책 수립에 활용하고자 네트워크 분석을 수행했다. 그러나 기존 연구의 경우 대부분 거시적 관점에서 전반적인 네트워크 구조를 분석했다는 점에서 개별 기업의 수준에서 활용하기 어렵다는 한계점을 가지고 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 연결강도 기반 업종 및 지역별 수준 네트워크 분석, 노드 중심성 복합지표 도출이라는 새로운 방식의 연구모형을 개발했다. 본 연구에서 개발한 방법론을 통해서 IT 기업들 간의 거래 데이터를 활용하여 9개 광역권의 네트워크를 분석했다. 연구의 결과는 인천, 부산, 대구 등 제조업 기반의 도시들이 IT 기업들과 긴밀한 협력 네트워크를 구축하고 있다는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 광주 및 대전의 IT 산업에서는 특정 기업들이 거래 네트워크를 주도하고 있다는 것도 확인하였다.

The tripartite mission of 'academic medicine' is education, research, and patient care. Academic medical centers (AMCs) are carrying out the mission and ultimately aiming to improve the health of people and communities. Globally, AMCs are facing a tremendous financial risk stemming from the changes in health insurance reimbursement plans and a shortage of human resources. Innovative AMCs in the United States are trying to transform their physician-centered, and siloed structure into a patient-centered, and integrated structure. They are also building integrated systems with primary healthcare groups to provide continuous patient care from primary to tertiary levels and making strategic networks based on value-based payment and the patient-centered model. These changes have been proven to improve outcomes of patient care and increase fiscal revenues, which are both crucial in supporting education and research. To address the shortage of human resources, programs are being built to develop newly appointed faculty for the future. AMCs have different approaches to bringing changes into their organizations; however, there is a common emphasis on 'a patient-centered approach,' which helps them set more explicit organizational values and make strategic decisions based on their values. Korean AMCs are facing similar challenges to AMCs in the United States in spite of many differences between the countries' healthcare systems. The innovative efforts of AMCs in the United States to address the challenges will be helpful, well-worked examples for Korean AMCs with similar challenges.

외환위기 이후 지방경제의 구조적 불황을 극복하고 자력성장을 도모해야 한다는 인식아래 정부가 전국적으로 지역산업진흥사업을 추진된 바, 전국적으로 지역별 특성을 반영한 전략산업을 중심으로 산업클러스터의 형성을 활성화하고 있다. 이러한 상황속에서 전남의 전략산업인 조선산업의 경쟁력을 강화시키기 위해서는 전문적인 인력양성이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 전남 조선인력의 인력양성을 효율적으로 관리하고 추진하기 위한 조선인력 현황과 수요조사를 실시하여 조사결과에 따른 조선산업의 문제점 및 개선방안을 제시하였다. 전남 조선산업은 기능인력 고령화, 전문기능인력 및 우수한 인력 부족, 교육훈련기관 부족 등의 문제점이 나타났다. 이를 개선하기 위해서는 관련 기관과 기업간 네트워크, 기관 및 대학간 네트워크 강화 등 전문인력양성을 위한 다양한 지원 정책이 필요하다.
