  • 이 논문은 인터넷 백본서비스 품질에 대해 서로 다른 반응도를 가진 사용자가 있는 경우, 백본을 보유한 독점적 기업은 자사의 서비스에 대해 가격을 어떻게 차별화 하는가를 분석하고 있다. 특별히, 인터넷 사용에 있어 혼잡이 있는 경우, 비선형적인 가격책정이 어떻게 진행되는 것인가에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 인터넷 혼잡효과를 고려할 경우, 제공되는 서비스 품질은 특수한 상황 하에서 망사용자의 전략적 형태와 인터넷 상에 제공되는 어플리케이션의 특성과 무관하게 사회적 최적으로 제공할 수 있음을 보여주고 있다. 또한 사회적 최적품질의 서비스가 제공되지 않는 경우에 있어서 파라미터의 조건들을 제시하고 있다.

  • With the growing competitive pressure from market participants, utilities, consumer and government, analyses of existing competitive electricity market become more important. The presence of congestion in the transmission system can significantly increase the potential of exercising market power. Since the congestion in the network depends on the several factors. the market power cannot be simply analyzed through the existing indices. This paper presents a systematic analysis on local market power under uniform pricing scheme and provides some mitigation of the strategic market power.

  • 글로벌공급사슬간 경쟁이 격화됨에 따라 항만서비스도 항만의 존속과 경쟁력제고를 위한 시장지향적인 가격산정이 크게 필요하다. 협조적 게임이론의 오웬밸류는 선사주체의 시장지향적 항만서비스가격 산정에 활용될 수 있다. 이를 우리나라 광양항의 사례에 적용하여 그 유용성을 확인해보았다. 본 연구결과 부두용 특성함수를 사용하여 선석별 비용배분 문제를 해결하고, Budescu(1993)방법을 통해 안벽사용지수를 구하기 위한 관련요인의 상대적 가중치를 합리적으로 산정하였다. 또한 주요 선사에 대한 사용료 우대방안과 선사간 전략적 제휴에 의한 항만서비스 가격할인방안을 구축하였다. 본 연구를 결과를 활용하여 대형선박을 자주 운항하는 주요 선사에 대한 체계적인 요금할인을 통해 항만서비스요금을 전략적으로 책정 할 수 있을 것이다.

  • This paper suggests a valuation framework of investment project using the concept of real options. We show the valuation process of real assets using the risk-neutral pricing. Especially, we focus on the investment lag. Real assets have investment lag in general. The decision time and the payment time are not identical. So the investment lag should be considered when valuing real assets for reality. We provide the valuation process for real assets, including R&D project. The results of this paper can be used for the real assets valuation and strategic decision analysis.

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest a supplier and buyer's pricing decision strategy model with discount-policy over a long-term replenishment contract in a supply chain environment by small and medium size manufacturing company. We assume that the buyer has a superior economic power over a supplier and each agent in a supply chain is unaware of each other. The supplier proposes pricing decision strategy to induce the buyer to choose the terms of contract for the benefit of the supplier. Then buyer decides the terms of contract to maximize her profit considering supplier's discount-policy. We also present a numerical example to illustrate the efficiency of pricing decision strategy.

  • Pricing, as one of the most important aspects of a business, should be taken seriously. Whatever affects a company's pricing system tends to affect its profits and losses as well. Currently, many manufacturing companies fix product prices manually by members of an organization's management team. However, due to the imperfect nature of humans, an extremely low or high price may be fixed, which is detrimental to the company in either case. This paper proposes the development of a fuzzy-based price expert system (Expert Fuzzy Price (EFP)) for manufacturing companies. This system will be able to recommend appropriate prices for products in manufacturing companies based on four major pricing strategic goals, namely: Product Demand, Price Skimming, Competition Price, and Target population.

  • The real option pricing theory has emerged as the new investment decision-making techniques superceding the traditional discounted cash flow techniques and thus has greatly received muck attention from academics and practitioners in these days the theory has been widely applied to a variety of corporate strategic projects such as a new drug R&D, an internet start-up. an advanced manufacturing system. and so on A lot of people who are interested in the real option pricing theory complain that it is difficult to understand the true meaning of the real option value. though. One of the most conspicuous reasons for the complaint may be due to the fact that there exit many different ways to calculate the real options value in this paper, we will present a replicating portfolio method. a risk-neutral probability method. a risk-adjusted discount rate method (quasi capital asset pricing method). and an opportunity cost concept-based method under the conditions of a binomial lattice option pricing theory.

  • As deregulation evolves, pricing electricity becomes a major issue in the electric industry. Participants of competitive marketplace are able to improve their profits substantially by adequately pricing the electricity. In this paper, game theory is applied to analyze the price-clearing in the generation bidding competition and the competition is modeled as the noncooperative and complete information. The result of this analysis can be useful in understanding spot price-clearing of electricity and generating entity's strategic behavior in the competitive electricity market.

  • As deregulation evolves, pricing electricity becomes a major issue in the electric power industry. In this paper, game theory is applied to analyze price-clearing in the generation bidding competition with the competition modeled as the non-cooperative and complete information game. The result of this analysis can be useful in understanding spot price-clearing of electricity as well as GENCOs' strategic behavior in the competitive electricity market.
