This study makes differentiated regulations which can maximize the efficiency and convenience of radiation safety regulations by deriving evidence required to establish reasonable safety regulatory structure based on the determination of the levels of actual radiation safety regulations for radiation safety managers to perform radiation safety. We surveyed approximately 10% of radiation safety managers from domestic radiation-using organizations which was based on the Nuclear Safety Act and NUREG Vol. 1~21 of RS-G-1.9 (2005), NRC of IAEA, etc. The radiation safety managers showed the highest level of awareness on the requirements for exposure management ($3.32{\pm}0.910$), and the lowest level on the requirements for record keeping and storage of documents ($2.84{\pm}0.826$). Industrial organizations showed higher levels of awareness than medical organizations whose regulations should be more stringent on requirements of the status and management of radioactive sources, facilities, measurements, pollution control, measuring equipment, monitoring, education and training, and exposure management. This suggests that the actual regulations need to be re-evaluated because it is attributed to the regulations which are statistically significant difference of the levels of radiation safety regulations between industrial organizations and medical organizations. The process of developing regulatory requirements for each characteristic of domestic organizations needs to be done in future studies, as well as safety regulations to maximize convenience should be achieved if radiation safety regulations are conducted in consideration with the characteristics of each organization.
The study, using the input-output analysis of 402 industrial sectors by Bank of Korea(BOK) and the resulting outcomes of price model, aims to evaluate the spillover effects the international fluctuations in crude oil prices have on the commodities prices and consequently, analyse the management and profitability of the offshore fisheries in Korea. At present, the fisher men are provided with tax-free oils for their fishing operations as specified under the Special Tax Treatment Control Law. However, the exhaustion of marine resources and new international fisheries agreements, which resulted in the loss of fishing grounds, made the stable catch even more unpredictable and the hike in the price of the international crude oil would have adverse effects on the fishing industry. The study revealed that the increasing rise in the price of crude oil would exert sweeping spillover effects on other industry sectors in general and accordingly, lead to a poorer performance by fisheries. The price spillover coefficients for the diesel oil was 0.6026, which would translate into the 42.6% increase in the prices of oil when the increase ratio of 73.3% for the base crude oil was applied based on the calculation methods employed in the study. This in turn increased the ratio of diesel oil required in the offshore fisheries from 23.3% to 16.6%, diminishing the ratio of current net profits to minus 2.0% from 4.2% otherwise. By fishing type, the Pair Trawl suffered current net profits loss most by ratio of minus 9.4% and other fisheries such as Coastal Stow Nets, Coastal Angling, Danish Sein also suffered ratio of 7% and more in the loss of current net profits. With the deteriorating fishing performance, coupled with the increasing international crude oil prices, it is urgently required that the authorities concerned deliberate in depth on such schemes as follows in efforts to secure stable fishing production. First, provision of large-scale storage facilities for oil is needed to timely adapt to the fluctuations in international crude oil prices. Secondly, in line with the stabilization of tax-free oil prices, duty levied on oils for fishing and tax collected from the refineries need to be tax-exempt. Thirdly, the beneficiaries from the provision of tax-free oil should be broadened, not limited to special fishing operation only. Fourth, investment in stabilization of the oil prices should be encouraged, possibly through funding from the formation of fisheries development funds underway.

Ethylene oxide ($C_2H_4O$, EtO) is used as a raw material for the production of ethylene glycol and other industrially important material such as ethanolamines and also used as a disinfecting agent. It is applied for gas-phase sterilization of thermally sensitive medical equipment, and for processing of storage facilities as a mixture with fluorinated hydrocarbon. In this perspective, accurate determination of the mole fractions of components in the liquefied gas mixture is required for the quality control and safety of production and use. Each component of the liquefied gas mixture has different chemical and physical properties such as vapor pressure and boiling point. Therefore, we can suppose that analytical results can be different according to the introduction method for the gas phase of upper layer, or for the liquid phase of lower layer in gas cylinder. In this study, we designed a new on-line sample injection device for the liquefied gas mixture in liquid or gas state, and applied to the analysis of liquefied gas mixture of ethylene oxide and fluorinated hydrocarbons by GC/AED (gas chromatograph-atomic emission detector). We studied performance of AED, and effect of sample introduction and selected wavelength to the accuracy and repeatability of analytical results.

Ammonia emission from swine production process originates from three major sources: manure storage facility, swine housing, and land application of manure. Most of the ammonia gas that are emitted from swine production operations is the by-product of aerobic or anaerobic decomposition of swine waste by microorganism. Knowing the ammonia emission rate is necessary to understand how management practices or alternative manure handling process could reduce impacts of this emission on the environment and neighbors. Ammonia gas emission from pig slurry is very difficult to predict because it is affected by many factors including wind speed of slurry surface, temperature or pH of the swine slurry, sort breed differences and classes, and diets. This study was carried out to effects of pH and temperature on ammonia gas emission from growing-finishing pig slurry. Treated far slurry in this study were pH and temperature. Results showed that pH of slurry variable changes 5, 6, 7, 8 upon an addition of NaOH and $HNO_3$, respectively. The temperature of the slurry which was contained in a water bath maintained at increasing levels ranging from 10 to $35^{\circ}C$. Ammonia emission rate of influenced pH and temperature such that the increase in pH or temperature resulted to an increase in ammonia emission. The ammonia gas was not detected at pH 5 and 6. Moreover, at a slurry of pH 8, the ammonia ranged from 28 to 60ppm and 8-29 ppm at slurry pH of 7 while temperature was 13 to $33^{\circ}C$. When slurry pH was>6, the ammonia emission was significantly increased according to rise in temperature in contrast to acid treatment of the pH. There was also a significantly increase in ammonia emission relative to slurry pH of 7 to 8. The above findings showed that to effectively reduce ammonia emission from slurry of growing-finishing pigs, the pH and temperature should be maintained a low levels.

The gray mold disease occurred on tuberous roots of yacon in storage facilities in Gangneung, Korea, in March 2010. Symptoms typically appeared as in the form of dark brown discoloration on the surface of tuberous roots and water-soaked brown lesions in cross sections of the affected portions. A total of five isolates of Botrytis sp. were obtained from the symptomatic portions. All isolates on potato-dextrose agar (PDA) produced abundant conidia which were pale brown, one-celled, mostly ellipsoid or ovoid in shape and $8.2{\sim}14.8{\times}6.5{\sim}9.9\;{\mu}m$ in size. Large numbers of round to irregular, smooth, black, hard sclerotia were produced on PDA over time. The optimal temperature for mycelial growth and sclerotia formation of the fungal isolates was $20^{\circ}C$. On the basis of morphological and cultural characteristics, all the fungal isolates were identified as Botrytis cinerea. Pathogenicity test on host plants showed that the fungus could infect not only tuberous roots but also leaves and petioles of yacon. This is the first report on gray mold of yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) caused by Botrytis cinerea in Korea.
Recently, the cultivated area is reduced, the ratio of upland-field in the total cultivated area is increasing relative appeared in 36.2% in 1990 from 43.7% in 2013. If upland-field can be applied well designed-infrastructure, good income crop production is possible, however, maintenance of infrastructure and a significant portion of the upland-field is maintained under insufficient infrastructure. While imports of agricultural products expanded since the 2000s in progress, looking at the self-sufficiency of upland-field crops, it is reduced to from 90% to 42% for the pepper, it is from 90% to 74% for the garlic, cereals is reduced from 42% by 26%. As a result of these conditions, the competitiveness of farmers has weakened, the risk to meet the challenges of this area of production and supply reduction increased. This study was the first to conduct a basic evaluation index, data analysis and evaluation of indicators to diagnose the agricultural production capacity of the upland field. 12 kinds classified index of producing conditions from the natural environment and eight factors for the cultivation and production capabilities have developed for the assessment of productivity of upland-field (especially Kimchi cabbage). Through this regional imbalance was found, based on the production capabilities conditions are good in Haenam, Gangneung, Pyeongchang. 3 Regions have been low and the lowest Youngwol to 0.8992. Climate(Cultivation conditions) indicators of Mungyeong region is the highest, relatively low areas were in Taebaek. In particular, it is determined to be preferred that the area required for the enhancing the production environment based on providing the convenience for the producing and maintenance of the first production area. Mulberry fruit is common to keep a frozen storage because of the very high water content. Because freezing-storing cost is generated before the processing or sales, farmers of mulberry fruit production are weighted in financial burden. In addition, mulberry fruit has difficulty in expanding consumption by made in the simple processed products like the mulberry jam, mulberry juice, mulberry enzyme, alcohol, etc. Recent, frozen fruits including frozen blueberries, frozen strawberries, frozen mango, frozen rich, frozen mulberry fruit has been started to sell in the large discount stores and convenience stores. However, there is restricted sales in only special place that have the frozen distribution facilities. So, for the income improvement and consumption promotion of mulberry farmers facing these difficult situations, we developed the processing method of semi-dried mulberry fruit using the vacuum freezing dryer. The frozen mulberry fruit which was stored below $-40^{\circ}C$ is to dry in a vacuum freeze dryer, at $30{\sim}35^{\circ}C$, 23 ~ 24 hours. Semi-dried mulberry fruit seperated respectively. It had soft texture, and maintained shape, size and flavor. In particular, semi-dried mulberry fruit can be stored at room temperature.
As part of preparing for future earthquakes near three LNG receiving terminals located in coastal regions of Korea, acceleration monitoring systems were installed at four free field sites and on a pile foundation beneath a storage tank in a receiving terminal. Several equipments and accessories were devised to successfully install and operate the monitoring system at LNG receiving terminals. Synthetic earthquake-alarming software systems designed for decisionmaking, based on peak ground acceleration computed using the measured data, were developed for rapid response during earthquakes, not only in each local terminal area but also in the central control division. In addition, a framework software linking nationwide data on peak ground accelerations was included in the integrated earthquake alarming system in the central division, for various future applications. The earthquake alarming systems developed in this research for LNG receiving terminals, based on acceleration monitoring, represent a useful framework for industrial facilities located in coastal regions, where geotechnical conditions may show marked spatial variations.

High-rise buildings and complex facilities are a representative urban system for the masses, and it requires an increasing role of commodity and safety. Smoke and toxic gasses can cause accidents due to fire in these systems. The purpose of this study is to develop a fiber screen material for emergency evacuation passages that can be avoided quickly and safely in cases of disasters. The fiber screen material is applicable to folding devices for emergency evacuation passages. The material is different from general steel material in that it is lightweight with less burden during storage for a long time in a roll form in a folding device. It also has an excellent secondary function in that it is less affected by radiant heat. Three kinds of fiber screen materials were selected that have good flame retardancy and post-processing characteristics. A performance evaluation was performed by a heat shrinkage test, contact heat test, combustibility test, flame retardancy test, tensile strength test, and tear strength test. As a result, the lightweight fabric shows excellent performance through post-processing, and silicone resin coating can secure safety of the pizza by the fiber screen material performance and radiant heat. The optimum post-treatment conditions were evaluated by performing a burning test after coating two kinds of glass fibers and four types of flame-retardant silicone resins with different weight and thickness.

The Purpose of this study is to develop the rainfall-delayed response model (RDR Model) which influences the baseflow proportion of rivers as a result of the antecedent precipitation of the previous several months. The assesment of accurate baseflows in the rivers is one of the most important elements for the planning of seasonal water supply for agriculture, water resources development, hydrological studies for the availability of water and design criteria for various irrigation facilities. The Palukan river gauging site which is located in the Pulukan catchment on Bali Island, Indonesia was selected to develop this model. The basic data which has been used comprises the available historic flow records at 19 hydrologic gauging stations and 77 rainfall stations on Bali Island in the study. The methology adopted for the derivation of the RDR model was the water balance equation which is commonly used for any natural catcbment ie.P=R+(catchment losses) -R+(ET+DP+DSM+DGW). The catchment losses consist of evapotranspiration, deep percolation. change in soil moisture, and change in groundwater storage. The catchment areal rainfall has been generated by applying the combination method of Thiessen polygon and Isohyetal lines in the studies. The results obtained from the studies may be summarized as follows ; 1. The rainfall-runoff relationship derived from the water balance equation is as shown below, assuming a relationship of the form Y=AX+B. Finally these two equations for the annual runoff were derived ; ARO$_1$=0.855 ARF-821, ARF>=l,400mm ARO$_2$=0.290ARF- 33, ARF<1,400mm 2. It was found that the correction of observed precipitation by a combination of Thiessen polygons and Isohyetal lines gave good correlation. 3. Analysis of historic flow data and rainfall, shows that surface runoff and base flow are 52 % and 48% (equivalent to 59.4 mm) of the annual runoff, respectively. 4. Among the eight trial RDR models run, Model C provided the correlation with historic flow data. The number of months over which baseflow is distributed and the relative proportions of rainfall contributing in each month, were estimated by performing several trial runs using data for the Pulukan catchment These resulted in a value for N of 4 months with contributing proportions of 0.45, 0.50, 0.03 and 0.02. Thus the baseflow in any month is given by : P$_1$(n) =0.45 P(n) +0.50 P(n-I ) +0.03 P(n-$_2$) +0.02 P(n-$_3$) 5. The RDR model test gave estimated flows within +3.4 % and -1.0 % of the observed flows. 6. In the case of 3 consecutive no rain months, it was verified that 2.8 % of the dependable annual flow will be carried over the following year and 5.8 % of the potential annual baseflow will be transfered to the next year as a result of the rainfall-delayed response. The results of evaluating the pefformance of the RDR Model was generally satisfactory.
