Influence of Factors of Baseball Stadium Environment on Spectating Satisfaction of Professional Baseball (프로야구 경기환경요인이 관람만족에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine if factors of baseball stadium environment which people have spectating satisfaction of professional baseball. The respondents of the study 614 who were spectators at D city professional baseball event. The stratified cluster random sampling method has been used in this study. The material collection device was the brochure named [A Influence of Factors of Baseball Stadium Environment on Spectating Satisfaction of Professional Baseball]. The result of reliability check up was here below; stadium factors ${\alpha}$=.966~.890, spectating costs ${\alpha}$=.922~.988, spectating promotion ${\alpha}$=.894~.789. To analyze materials, the "correlation analysis" and "regression analysis" were used as statistic analysis techniques. The conclusion based on above study method and the result of material analysis are here below. 1. The stadium factors influence spectating satisfaction of professional baseball. 2. The spectating cost factors influence spectating satisfaction of professional baseball. 3. The spectating promotion factors influence spectating satisfaction of professional baseball.

  • The objective of this study is to provide basic data for building better exterior spaces for stadiums in the future by analyzing the behavior of users, such as the satisfaction measure and the physical environment, after using the exterior space at an existing stadium. To achieve this, multiple methods of data gathering and analyses such as field surveys, documentary surveys, and questionnaires research were used in this study. In the survey of user satisfaction, regression analysis was conducted on all factors. Factor analysis was conducted on the variables that were classified into physical, functional, social, and psychological factors. The factors were then tested and based on the results, multiple regression analysis was conducted to measure the effects of the factors concerning satisfaction. A questionnaire research on the use of the exterior space of a stadium as well as the social and economic backgrounds of the users was also conducted in order to utilize the results for the basic data for analysis of satisfaction. According to the results of this study, the exterior space of a stadium satisfied overall expectations. However, it is deemed important to introduce various facilities and activity programs and to improve the exterior spaces for users in building stadiums in the future.

  • This study is concerned with the selection of the main stadium for the World Cup football game to be held in Korea in 2002. Alternatives are (1) new construction of the main stadium at Sangam; (2) and remodeling Jamsil stadium constructed for Olympic in 1988; remodeling Munhak stadium in Inchon. For comparison purpose, we consider four decision attributes (environmental, economy. political and technical factors) under which several detailed sub-attributes are defined. Various multi-criteria decision-making tools such as AHP and TOPSIS are applied to find the best location. Our study results indicate that the best selection is remodeling Jamsil stadium. This appears due to heavy emphasis on economy factor in our analysis.

Wind-induced responses of Beijing National Stadium

  • The wind-induced mean, background and resonant responses of Beijing National Stadium are investigated in this paper. Based on the concepts of potential and kinetic energies, the mode participation factors for the background and the resonant components are presented and the dominant modes are identified. The coupling effect between different modes of the resonant response and the coupling effect between the background and resonant responses are analyzed. The coupling effects between the background and resonant components and between different modes are found all negligible. The mean response is approximately analogous to the peak responses induced by the fluctuating wind. The background responses are significant in the fluctuating responses and it is much larger than the resonant responses at the measurement locations.

  • This study conducted a survey on visitors who visited the 2021-2022 KBL Professional Basketball Stadium in Wonju to understand how professional sports viewing factors affect the club image, club satisfaction, and club reputation. As factors for watching professional sports, four factors were considered: stadium, game situation, spectating cost, and spectator promotion. A total of 450 questionnaires were distributed and 411 questionnaires excluding 39 questionnaires were used as the final analysis data. For the effective questionnaire survey, After analyzing the purpose and purpose of the research, participants were asked to collect data. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS statistical package after data coding and cleaning process. The results of this study are as follows. First, the effect of professional sports viewing factor on brand image was 45.1%, and the factor of pro sports viewing was significant in stadium, competition situation, and promotion of viewing, and had no effect on viewing cost. Second, the influence of professional sporting factor on the satisfaction of the team was 42.5% in explaining power, which was significant in the stadium, the competition situation, the cost of visiting, and promotion of viewing. Third, the influence of professional sports viewing factor on team reputation was 62.1%, and the factor of professional sports viewing was significant in promoting stadium, visiting cost, and viewing, and had no effect on economic situation. The implication of this study is that in order to increase the brand value of the club, it is much more effective to increase the quality of facilities and food and beverages and to activate events for the audience than to lower the cost of viewing.

The Economic Value for the Post-use of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Facilities: Case of Alpine Stadium in Jeongseon (2018평창동계올림픽 시설 사후활용에 대한 경제적 가치: 정선군 알파인 경기장을 사례로)

  • Purpose - This study estimated the value of the post-use of Alpine stadium in Jeongseon as a tourist attraction, which is one of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics facilities, and identified determinant factors on the willingness to pay (WTP). Design/methodology/approach - A dichotomous-choice model of contingent valuation method (CVM) that is known for an effective tool was used to calculate the value. The questionnaire was conducted on 650 visitors to major tourist destinations in Jeongseon and 629 copies of the valid samples were analyzed. Findings - The results shows that determinate factors on the WTP are; suggestion cost, need (application of Ecotourism Program to the Restoration Process), agree(agree to Ecotourism Program in the Restoration Process) and age. Also, the WTP on the facility is 16,296 won per person. Research implications or Originality - This study estimates the value of the post-utilization of Alpine Stadium of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics facilities, which have been experiencing conflict in recent years. For this reason, the findings of the paper will provide meaningful information for tourism development and management policies of the region.

  • New techniques, technologies, and materials should be used to design and build sports stadiums. Since this century, much progress has been made in covering the roofs of sports stadiums, and the possibility of accurate computer calculation has been provided for stadiums, so by choosing a new structure, we can double the beauty and resistance of these stadiums. A stadium has an excellent and valuable design when its structure, shell, building, materials, and joinery follow a high architectural idea at all levels and scales. This article examines the mechanical performance of polymer cement strength in the construction of football stadiums, along with their structural knowledge in the form of the best examples in the world. Portland cement is one of the most used materials for constructing football stadiums. However, its production requires spending a lot of money, wasting energy, and damaging the environment. Considering the disadvantages in the production and consumption of concrete in different environments, it is necessary to find alternative materials. It should be used with cheaper, simpler technology, abundant primary resources, energy saving, less environmental damage, and better chemical and physical properties in concrete. High-strength concrete technology is considered a new development in the construction industry of concrete structures. In hardened concrete, strength and durability are two main factors, and as the compressive strength of concrete increases, concrete becomes more brittle. As a result, its tensile strength does not increase in proportion to the increase in compressive strength and has less strain tolerance. For this reason, the need to use is evident from the fibers in high-strength concrete. Fibers are used in concrete to increase tensile strength, prevent crack propagation, and significantly increase softness. The increase with the change of these resistances depends on the strength of concrete without fibers, the shape of fibers, and the percentage of fibers. This cement is obtained from the wastes of chemical and petrochemical industries and the wastes from coal combustion, which have the properties mentioned as substitutes for Portland cement.

  • The purpose of this study is to plan, design and reflect to the future naturalization of the urban rivers by using the literatures, field survey results and aerial photography of Milyang River as the case regarding the effect of physical factors of urban rivers on landscape, defining those factors as Sammon fine forest, outdoor stage, Youngnamlu, RC stadium, stroll roads and bicycle roads, artificial island, outdoor swimming pool and sculpture park, and by suggesting the specific characteristics of the landscape according to those factors. The questionnaire survey was made to understand the users' satisfaction and attributes. The statistical analysis was applied, the frequency analysis and percentage calculation were used to find out the citizenship and perception toward the physical factors, and paired-sample T test to compare the average.
