  • Inertial Navigation System Alignment is the process to determine direction cosine matrix which is the transformation matrix between the INS body frame and navigation frame. INS initial position value is necessary to INS attitude calculation, so that user should wait until he get such value to start the INS alignment. To remove the waiting time, we propose an alignment algorithm that immediately starts after the INS power on by using pseudo initial position input and then is completed with attitude error compensation by entering true position later. We analyse effect of INS sensor error on attitude in process of time and verify the performance and usefulness of the close-loop alignment algorithm which corrects attitude error from the change of initial position.

  • In this study of lifted hydrogen jet with coaxial air, we have experimentally studied the characteristics of stabilization point in turbulent diffusion flames. The objectives are to present the phenomenon of a liftoff height decreasing as increasing fuel velocity and to analyse the flame structure and behavior including liftoff mechanisms. The fuel jet exit velocity was changed from 100 up to 300 m/s and a coaxial air velocity was fixed at 16 m/s with a coflow air less than 0.1 m/s. For the simultaneous measurement of velocity field and reaction zone, PIV and OH PLIF technique was used with two Nd:Yag lasers and CCD cameras. It has been suggested that the stabilization of lifted hydrogen diffusion flames was correlated with a turbulent intensity, $S_t{\sim}u^{\prime}$, and jet Reynolds number, $S_t{\sim}Re^{0.017}_{jet}$.

  • Background: Gastric cancer is considered as the second most prevalent cancer in Iran. The present research sought to identify high risk clusters of gastric cancer with mapping using space-time scan statistics. Materials and Methods: The present research is of descriptive type. The required data were gathered from the registered cancer reports of Cancer Control Office in the Center for Non Communicable Disease of the Ministry of Health (MOH). The data were extracted at province level in the time span of 2004-9. Sat-Scan software was used to analyse the data and to identify high risk clusters. ArcGIS10 was utilized to map the distribution of gastric cancer and to demonstrate high risk clusters. Results: The most likely clusters were found in Ardabil, Gilan, Zanjan, East-Azerbaijan, Qazvin, West-Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Hamadan, Tehran and Mazandaran between 2007 and 2009. It was statistically significant at the p-value below 0.05. Conclusions: High risk regions included Northern, West-North and central provinces, particularly Ardabil, Kurdistan, Mazandaran and Gilan. More screening tests are suggested to be conducted in high risk regions along with more frequent epidemiological studies to enact gastric cancer prevention programs.

  • Flow fields around a KARI-11-180 airfoil, SDM and transonic body are numerically simulated by using an unstructured meshes based compressible flow solver developed at KAIST. RANS equations are solved to analyse the flow fields and Roe's FDS method is adopted to evaluate convective fluxes. Turbulence effect of the flow fields is modeled by a SA model, SST model and ${\gamma}-{\widetilde{Re}}_{{\theta}t}$ model. It is found that smaller drag coefficients are predicted for the KARI-11-180 airfoil when a transition phenomenon is considered and small deviations exist between CFD and EFD results. For the SDM, flow separation is observed at a leading edge and calculated aerodynamic properties show similar tendencies to experimental results. A shock wave on main wings of the transonic body is successfully captured by the present flow solver at a Mach number 0.9. Estimated pressure profiles by means of the present CFD method also agree well with those of wind tunnel results.

  • The analysis of spatial search direction and its concentration through eye movement can produce some useful data in that it enables to know the features of space elements and their effects on one another. The results by analysing the search features and concentration of spatial sections through the eye-tracking in shops in a department store makes it possible to define the followings. First, the features of 'eye's in & out' could be estimated through the division of sections by the characteristics of those shops and the extraction of central point based on the decision of continuative observation. The decision of continuative observations enabled to analyse the frequency of observation data which can be considered to be 'things watched longtime' and the stared points that is equivalent to 'things seen very often', by which the searching characteristics of spatial sections could be estimated. Second, as with the eye's [in], the right shops had 0.6 times more (3.5%) than those left and as with the eye's [out] the left ones had 0.6 times more (3.5%). It indicates that [in, out] of the right and the left shops had the same difference, which lets us know that with starting point of the middle space, [in] and [out] were paid more attention to the right shops and the left shops respectively. Third, as with the searching directions by section, the searching times [2.9 times] from [B] to [A] were than that [2.6 times] from [A] to [B]. It was also found that the left shops had more searching direction toward [C, D] than the right ones and that those searching activities at the left shops were more active. Fourth, when the searching directions by section are reviewed, the frequency of searching from [B] to [A] was 2.9 and that of the other way 2.6. Also the left shops were found to have more searching direction toward [C, D] than the right ones and those searching activities at the left shops were estimated to be more active.

  • The purpose of this survey study is to analyse the playground dimension of elementary school. To complete this mission, it is necessary to drive out elementary school have a lower dimension standard of playground through literal survey. Then, questionnaire and observation survey have been performed to teachers majored in physical education and these are focused on playground dimensions. The field survey study will provide the basic data for calculating proper playground dimensions and design source for planning space program of the school. The result of this survey study are as follows ; First, The Area of 'Gyo-ghi' is decreasing, and the land area of being used for 'Gyo-sa' is increasing. So the area of playground is decreasing. Second, The respondents require a playground size enough to contain 100m running track for testing the physical ability of students. But it is not possible to do so in current domestic condition, it is necessary to revise of the standard of physical test or enact a new one. Third, to solve the problems deviating from the playground size, the respondent suggests that set up a new gym or variable-size playgrounds rather than a large one Fourth, because playground has so much functions as rest, playing, walking and jogging etc besides physical education, it is necessary to consider the spaces for rest and play, when plan a tower-type school or small school.

  • Architecture is widely regarded as one of important fields representing their own culture. In most cities of our nation, there has been the tendencies of negligence in keeping its record properly to be used. So, the purpose of this study is to collect the basic informations and analyse them to develop the appropriate programs for us. This study aims to offer fundamental characteristics of functional configurations in architectural museums through comparative analysis between korean and foreign museums. In so doing, it deals with the relationship between identity of museum policy and its spatial program such as archiving center, exhibition center and communication-research center. For the prove of such relationship this study attempt to compare multiple cases such as MAXXI, Nai etc. Finally this study propose that, in considering the establishment of a new architectural museum, the space program should be considered as a continuous changing process in order to make the museum as a cultural multi-complex.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the dynamic disturbances(disturbed forces and disturbed torques) due to attitude control thruster's plume impingement on the solar arrays. To produce database of the dynamic disturbances a sweep analysis was done, in which the two parameters are used; the distance between the thruster and solar arrays and the thruster tilt angle. Based on the database, a third order polynomial approximation is computed to represent the characteristics of the disturbed forces and torques. The final results are the coefficients of the approximation for each solar array angle position. These results as input data are used to optimize the configuration of the attitude control thrusters. This analysis is appled to the two candidate solar arrays for Geo-Kompsat-2 satellite and the results of the disturbed forces and disturbed torques are compared and analysed.

  • The single photo method has a lot of applications in forestry, traffic accident managements, industry, criminal investigation, and in daily life. In this study a new single photo method was developed by classifying into the Space resection method and the 2 Dimensional Perspective Transformation method. Metric and nonmetric cameras were used to analyse the accuracy by means of single photo method, and the errors in coordinates and lengths were studied by changing the number and arrangement of control points to obtain the optimum condition for the single photo method. The influence of number and arrangement of control points on the accuracy was relatively small in case of the Metric WILD P31 and ASAHI PENTAX 6$\times$7 cameras, where as for errors it was a major factor in the Non-metric Nikon FM2. To overcome these defects, at least 6 control points should be used for the errors to be convergent and they should be distributed evenly over the surveying area. It was found that accuracy increased as the object to be photographed was placed in the perpendicular direction to the axis of camera.

  • In this study, as an initial study for development of stability analysis program of a double-deck tunnel during life cycle, a structural analysis solver based beam-spring model for the double-deck tunnel is constructed. Effect of parameters(slab supporting type, depth of the tunnel and ground elastic modulus) is analyzed with the beam-spring model. The model is also compared and verified by commercial structural analysis program. It is considered that the slab supporting type affects the integrated behavior with segment lining and influence of intermediate slab on the stability of the tunnel decreases as the tunnel depth increases. The relationship between the ground elastic modulus and the effect of the intermediate slab on the segment lining needs further investigation.
