  • This paper discusses the lateral vibration of a bar which has its tip free. The uniform bar has a solution by summation of some simple exponential functions But if its shape is not uniform, its solution could be by Bessel's function, or mathematical solution could not be existed. Enen if the solution of Bessel's function exists. as Bessel function is a series function. we must got the solution by numerical method Hereby the author Proposes the ununiform beam solution of the matrix method by Ritz's method. and Proposes a new deflection shape function.

  • In this paper, a solution method is proposed to calculate the optimum solution to discrete optimal H$_{.inf}$ control problem for feedback of linear time-invariant system states and disturbance variable. From the results of this study, condition of existence and uniqueness of its solution is that transfer matrix of controlled variable to input variable is left invertible and has no invariant zeros on the unit circle of the z-domain as well as extra geometric conditions given in this paper. Through a numerical example, the noniterative solution method proposed in this paper is illustrated.

  • This study was undertakened to investigate the change of image characteristics on dental films according to the process of using time of processing solution in automatic processor. Base + fog density, film density and subject contrast were measured with the digital densitometer, the pH of developing and fixing solution were measured with Digital pH / ION Meter. The following results were obtained: 1. Base + fog density was increased with the process of using time of the processing solution and was over the maximum permissible base + fog density 0.25 from the 3rd day. 2. Film density was increased with the process of using time of the processing solution. 3. Subject contrast was decreased with the process of using time of the processing solution. 4. The pH of the developing solution was decreased with the process of using time, the pH of the fixing solution was increased.

  • Recently companies are aggressively Pushing ahead with integrating the systematical applications of internal and external information systems such as Data level, Application level, Process level in the company, Process level between companies. The EAI solution is generally considered as the necessary tool to integrate companies, but the appraisal standard for the EAI solution has not Vet settled in Korea, so the companies have difficulty in deciding whether to adopt the EAI solution or not. Through this report, we first introduce the KRA Project as the best practice in making an application of the settled standard to evaluate and adopt the EAI solution, and then suggest that it can be adapted to companies considering applying to the EAI solution.

  • The main purpose of this study is to find out the optimal solution of the vehicle routing problem considering heterogeneous vehicle(s), double-trips, and multi depots. This study suggests a mathematical programming model with new numerical formula which considers the amount of delivery and sub-tour elimination and gives optimal solution by using OPL-STUDIO(ILOG). This study also suggests modified genetic algorithm which considers the improvement of the creation method for initial solution, application of demanding point, individual and last learning method in order to find excellent solution, survival probability of infeasible solution for allowance, and floating mutation rate for escaping from local solution. The suggested modified genetic algorithm is compared with optimal solution of the existing problems. We found the better solution rather than the existing genetic algorithm. The suggested modified genetic algorithm is tested by Eilon and Fisher data(Eilon 22, Eilon 23, Eilon 30, Eilon 33, and Fisher 10), respectively.

  • An approximate analytical solution of a nonlinear hydro-thermo coupled diffusion equation is derived using the dimensionless form of the equation and transformation method. To derive an analytical solution, it is drastically assumed that the product of first order derivatives in the non-dimensionalized governing equation has little influence on the solution of heat and moisture behavior problem. The validity of this drastic assumption is demonstrated. Some numerical simulation is performed to investigate the applicability of a derived approximate analytical solution. The results show a good agreement between analytical and numerical solutions. The proposed solution may provide a useful tool in the verification process of the numerical models. Also, the solution can be used for the analysis of one-dimensional coupled heat and moisture movements in unsaturated porous media.

  • In this paper, we study the fractional iterates of the exponential function. This is an unresolved problem, not due to a lack of a known solution, but because there are an innite number of solutions, and there is no agreement as to which solution is "best." We will approach the problem by rst solving Abel's functional equation ${\alpha}(e^x)={\alpha}(x)+1$ by perturbing the exponential function so as to produce a real xed point, allowing a unique holomorphic solution. We then use this solution to nd a solution to the unperturbed problem. However, this solution will depend on the way we rst perturbed the exponential function. Thus, we then strive to remove the dependence of the perturbed function. Finally, we produce a solution that is in a sense more natural than other solutions.

  • An analytical solution procedure for the dynamic response of beams with variable properties is developed by using an asymptotic solution and the Green's function. This asymptotic closed form solution is derived for the transverse vibration of beams under the assumption of slowly varying properties, such as mass, cross-section, tension etc., along the beam length. However, this solution is still found to be very accurate even in the case of large variation, such as step change in cross-section, mass, and tension. Therefore, this derived asymptotic closed form solution and the Green's function can be easily applied to find dynamic responses for various kind of beam vibration problems.

  • The optical behavior of coloring matter extracted from onion's coats, the depression effects of destruction, yellowing and W transmittance of silk treated with color solution of onion's coats color difference of silk fabrics dyed with acid dyes and drycleaning fastness of silk treated with color solution has been investigated. The results are as follows : 1) The coloring matter extracted from onion's coats by alkali-acid method appeared properties of aglycon type. 2) &{\lambda}_{max}&of color solution extracted by distilled water was found at 280 and 327nm. 3) The decrease of tensile strength and the elongation of the silk treated with color solution were depressed but those of untreated silk were increased by irradiation of UV light. 4) The yellowness index of silk treated with color solution showed a little change by irradiation. 5) The UV transmittance of silk treated with color solution was decreased as increasing concentration of color solution. 6) The color difference after dyeing with several acid dyes on treated and untreated silk fabrics showed remarkable changes. 7) Drycleaning fastness of silk treated by color solution was excellent.
