WiSMax : Wifi Speed Maximization Application (와이파이 속도 극대화 애플리케이션)

  • One of technologies that make it possible for users to enjoy always-on Internet service using potable devices does be Wifi. However, users frequently feel its connection is not stable or its speed becomes slow. On the other hand, users see multiple available Wifi access points exist often. In this paper, we present a smartphone application, called to WiSMax, that periodically changes its Wifi connection to the best one among available Wifi access points to maximize its speed. Experimental results show that WiSMax presents faster Internet connection than IEEE802.11 as much as about fifteen percent and higher signal strength than IEEE802.11 as much as about five dBm.

  • Recently, acquisition of high quality data has become an important issue as the expansion of the big data industry. In order to acquiring high quality data, accurate evaluation of data quality should be preceded first. The quality of data can be evaluated through meta-information such as statistics on data, and the task to extract such meta-information is called data profiling. Until now, data profiling software has typically been provided as a component or an additional service of traditional data quality or visualization tools. Hence, it was not suitable for utilizing directly in various environments. To address this problem, this paper presents the development result of data profiling software based on a microservice architecture that can be serviced in various environments. The presented data profiler provides an easy-to-use interface that requests of meta-information can be serviced through the restful API. Also, a proposed data profiler is independent of a specific environment, thus can be integrated efficiently with the various big data platforms or data analysis tools.

The Effect of Software Education Teaching Efficacy(SE-TE) of In-service Teachers on Backward Design based TPACK-P Teachers' Training Program (백워드 설계 기반 TPACK-P 교육 프로그램이 교사의 SW교육 교수효능감(SE-TE)에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop TPACK-P teachers' training program based on backward design included understanding of backward design principles in order to enhance teachers' professionalism of software education and informatics education. This teachers' training program was conducted for non-informatics teachers in 32 hours. As a results, teachers showed that post-test result of SE-TEBI was higher than pre-test and the t-test results showed that the total value of SE-TE was t=-3.541(p< .01), subscale PSETE was t=-3.559( p< .01) and SEOE was t=-2.258(p< .05). Therefore, we demonstrate that it helps improve the teaching professionalism of teachers. However, as a result of the test, teachers' PSETE tend to be lower in SEOE, which is interpreted as a lack of confidence in the lessons. Therefore, in further study, it is necessary to develop a teacher education program that can promote the confidence of teachers.

Design and Implementation of a Smart Signage System based on the Internet of Things(IoT) for Elevators

  • The existing digital signage systems inside the elevators are a lack of tailored contents appropriate to the space and environment inside or outside the elevators. Also, they almost impossible to flexibly respond to various contents disclosure according to the demand of the consumers or the elevator markets. Therefore we design and implement an IoT(Internet of Things)-based smart digital signage system for the safety of elevator passengers.. In order to provide IoT-based information to the smart digital signage within the elevator, we propose an IoT system as a set-top box with gyroscope sensor, acceleration sensor, RFID(Radio-Frequency Identification), fine dust sensor, etc., which processes various data collected by the sensors and provides the elevator passengers with various tailored contents such as elevator driving information, environmental information inside and outside the elevator, and disaster information in addition to simple advertisement information. The proposed IoT system is a set-top box that operates the smart digital signage and has an independent information control processor based on the IoT sensors that do not depend on the elevator control system. For the proposed smart digital signage, it supports an operating system that is independent of the elevator driving service as well as the media service. So the smart signage system has a characteristic that it does not depend on the elevator control system since it is a stand-along IoT-based information control system. With the proposed system providing intuitive content for the surge, steep descent, and radical movements of an elevator due to an emergency situation, the elevator passengers should be able to recognize the situation quickly and respond accordingly. In the near future, the proposed system will expand the market of digital signage applied in conjunction with the development of contents in the disaster, safety and environment fields, and expect expected to revitalize related industries associated with signage.

  • The talent trading platform is a platform that brokers transactions such as program coding, media content production (video, music, presentation materials, etc.), design, learning, and repair. Existing talent trading platforms provide a server-client model-based service, which incurs server operating costs and arbitration labor costs for transactions, which has a disadvantage that users bear high service fees. This paper proposes a method to reduce server and database operation costs by uploading transaction information to blocks through the system as a distributed app (dApp) based on the Ethereum platform. In addition, it proposes a method to lower transaction fees by reducing the labor cost of transaction arbitrators through smart contracts. Compare and analyze the cost processing procedure and transaction fee size of the blockchain-based talent trading platform and the existing talent trading platform.

  • Since the 21st century knowledge and information society 20 years ago, online education has been emphasized. Online courses at online universities or universities have been activated in developed countries. But to this day, online lectures have not been activated at education colleges and have been used as supplementary educational materials. Since February 2020, the company has been forced to provide online education due to external factors of the coronavirus. In this study, the results of the results of the first semester of 2020 by organizing the online lectures in the same way as the offline lectures for the 2019 prospective teachers are as follows. Online education can be seen as effective in terms of understanding the achievement criteria, in terms of developing teaching materials, in terms of evaluation data development and evaluation methods, and in terms of students' ability to provide software education.

  • The rapid growth and increasing complexity of modern networks have highlighted the limitations of traditional network architectures. The emergence of SDN (Software-Defined Network) in response to these challenges has changed the existing network environment. The SDN separates the control unit and the data unit, and adjusts the network operation using a centralized controller. However, this structure has also recently caused a huge amount of traffic due to the rapid spread of numerous Internet of Things (IoT) devices, which has not only slowed the transmission speed of the network but also made it difficult to ensure quality of service (QoS). Therefore, this paper proposes a method of load distribution by switching the IP and any server (processor) from the existing data processing scheduling technique, RR (Round-Robin), to mapping when a large amount of data flows in from a specific IP, that is, server overload and data loss.

Analysis of Elementary Pre-service Teachers' Experiences and Understanding of Software Education (초등 예비교사의 소프트웨어 교육 관련 경험과 이해도 분석)

  • Because the success of SW education depends on teachers' competences and understanding, many universities of education are carrying out SW education for pre-service teachers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the current status of pre-service teachers' programming learning experiences and understanding of curriculum and educational effects related to SW education. The participants were 294 junior and senior students enrolled in a university of education. In relation to 'programming learning experiences', many responded positively in terms of interest, usefulness and willingness to learn. However, many were not satisfied with their programming experiences, felt difficulty in programming, and evaluated their programming abilities as low. For the 'understanding of SW education curriculum', many recognized the necessity of SW education and understood that the allocated time was insufficient. Both positive and negative opinions were reported concerning the fact that SW education is conducted in practical arts. In comparison, many did not understand well about the concept and characteristics of SW education and the details of the curriculum. In relation to the 'understanding of SW education effects', many understood positively about all the effects presented in the questionnaire including problem solving abilities and creativity. In addition, significant differences were found among pre-service teachers' major categories regarding the programming learning experiences and the understanding of SW education curriculum and effects. Based on the results of the research, suggestions were made for the improvement of the pre-service teachers' SW education program.

  • The purpose of this study id to identify service quality of national stone culture festival, to find relationship service quality to festival satisfaction and after behavioral intention of festival participants. To achieve the purpose of this study, 13 elements of service quality was chosen through previous literature study. And 3 factors were extracted by 1st factor analysis, these are hardware, software, and humanware factor. And second factor analysis was performed to identify validity and reliability these factors. And 5th hypothesis was established and adopted in three hypothesis. That is Hardware service quality factor have a influence to festival satisfaction of participants, festival satisfaction of participants have a influence to revisitation and recommendation intention. This paper indicates that results of this study is useful to regional festival planning to settle down as a sustainable events, necessary to retain service quality and satisfaction as a precedent condition.

An Exploratory Study of Generative AI Service Quality using LDA Topic Modeling and Comparison with Existing Dimensions (LDA토픽 모델링을 활용한 생성형 AI 챗봇의 탐색적 연구 : 기존 AI 챗봇 서비스 품질 요인과의 비교)

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially in the domain of text-generative services, has witnessed a significant surge, with forecasts indicating the AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) market reaching a valuation of $55.0 Billion by 2028. This research set out to explore the quality dimensions characterizing synthetic text media software, with a focus on four key players in the industry: ChatGPT, Writesonic, Jasper, and Anyword. Drawing from a comprehensive dataset of over 4,000 reviews sourced from a software evaluation platform, the study employed the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling technique using the Gensim library. This process resulted the data into 11 distinct topics. Subsequent analysis involved comparing these topics against established AI service quality dimensions, specifically AICSQ and AISAQUAL. Notably, the reviews predominantly emphasized dimensions like availability and efficiency, while others, such as anthropomorphism, which have been underscored in prior literature, were absent. This observation is attributed to the inherent nature of the reviews of AI services examined, which lean more towards semantic understanding rather than direct user interaction. The study acknowledges inherent limitations, mainly potential biases stemming from the singular review source and the specific nature of the reviewer demographic. Possible future research includes gauging the real-world implications of these quality dimensions on user satisfaction and to discuss deeper into how individual dimensions might impact overall ratings.
