사회네트워크분석에서 몬테칼로 방법의 활용 (Monte-Carlo Methods for Social Network Analysis)

  • 사회네트워크분석(social network analysis)은 l개 연결선을 갖는 n개 노드의 자료를 대상으로 한다. 기본적인 자료기술로서 노드 간 최단거리(shortest distance), 근접 중심성(closeness centrality), 중개 중심성(betweenness centrality) 등을 산출한다. 기존의 사회학적 연구에서 다룬 네트워크는 대개 노드 수 n이 수십 또는 수백 정도였으나 최근에는 그 크기가 수십만 또는 수백만에 이르는 경우가 드물지 않다. 이에 따라 사회네트워크분석에서도 자료 규모성(data scalability)의 이슈가 생겼다. 본 연구에서는 몬테칼로(Monte Carlo) 방법을 활용하여 n = 100,000 규모의 임의 네트워크의 작은 세상(small world) 성질을 실증적으로 탐구하고 그 정도 규모에서의 중개 중심성과 근접 중심성의 산출 방법을 제안하고자 한다.

A Structural Analysis on the Influence of Multi-Cultural Families in Psychological Inadequacy for Youth

  • Teenagers in multicultural families are more prone to depression and problem behaviors caused by violence such as bullying in schools due to their appearance, language presentation skills, and poor learning abilities compared to teenagers in general families. This study is meaningful in that it provides basic information for prevention measures in intervening with damage caused by school violence such as depression, anxiety, suicidal impulses and emotional and social. For this purpose, a survey of 300 elementary school students from 4 to 6 grade, junior high school, and high school students was conducted. A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed and of thos e 385 were used for the final analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, the psychological factors of suicidal ideation were higher in the victimized group than school violence. Second, there was a significant difference in the relationship between emotional - social isolation and school violence experience. Third, there was a significant difference in the relationship between experience of suicide ideation and depression as well as anxiety of emotional - social isolation with psychological maladjustment. In conclusion, we plan to find ways to stabilize the multicultural society by providing prevention and protection measures against school violence.

독일에서의 환경영향의 정량적 평가 (Quantification of Ecological Impact as a Basis for Evaluation)

  • Evaluation methods are employed in environmental impact assessment to choose between different project site, to determine the required measures to compensate impact and to decide whether the environmental impacts are more important than the social or economic effects of a project. The main obstacles that restrict use of quantitative evaluation method are a Lack of knowledge about the environmental effects (e.g. if impacts on wildlife or landscape amenities are predicted) and the relative importance of economic and social issues compared with nature conservation stability of ecosystem or landscape beauty. In Germany, the most common method for site planning is the "ecological risk analysis". It is a kind of multi-criteria-decision-method based on quantitative and qualitative description and ordinal ranking. The various kinds of "ecological balancing methods" that are more recently developed (within the last decade) to quantify the required amount for compensatory measures instead often use cardinal figures to express the value of ecosystems, the intensity of impacts, the need for additional measures to compensate for long recuperative periods when restoring ecosystems and so on. There are still only a view attempts to quantify decisions between environmental and socio-economic issues. Multicriteria-analysis as well as cost-benifit-analysis was used. Some new approaches which are still in a preliminary status are based on contingent valuation and on calculations for compensatory payments (instead of compensatory measures).

  • Objectives: Children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) often have difficulties in social behavior. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a short-term training program for improving social skills, self-perception and attention deficits. Methods: The subjects were nine children diagnosed with ADHD with(or without) other mental disorders using the Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children(DISC-ADHD) module. Children were given eight sessions of a social skills training program. Parents of children simultaneously participated in their own training which was designed to support their children's generalization of skills. Assessments included child, parent and teacher ratings of social skills, self-perception and attention deficit at baseline and post-treatment. Results: Social skills training led to significant improvements in child-reported measures of self-esteem, in teacher reported measures of social skills, and in parent-reported measures of attention deficit. Conclusion: This study suggests that short-term social skills training programs for children with ADHD may improve their social skills, self-perception and attention deficits.

어린이의 거친 신체 놀이와 사회적 능력 연구 (Rough-and-Tumble Play and Social Competence in Preschool Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to describe relations between the rough-and-tumble play of preschoolers and their social competence. The subjects were 61 4-year-olds and 59 5-year-olds. Children were observed on a day care center playground during free play time. Teachers were asked to rate the children's social competence. The results indicated that the incidence of rough-and-tumble play varied according to the sex of the child and the physical environment of the playground. Children's rough-and-tumble play was negatively correlated with measures of social competence.

  • 사회 관계망 서비스(SNS) 이용자가 전 세계적으로 증가하는 추세 속에서 카카오스토리, 페이스북이나 인스타그램 등과 같은 SNS 공간에서 타인의 인격과 명예를 훼손하고 사생활을 침해하는 'SNS 저격' 피해자가 속출하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 환경에서 다양한 SNS를 가장 많이 이용하고 있는 대학생들을 대상으로 탈억제 효과로 인한 부정적 행위에 대한 인식을 조사하여 분석하고, SNS 저격의 피해자와 가해자를 줄이기 위한 예방 대책을 고찰하였다. 대학생들의 SNS 공간에서 타인의 인격과 명예훼손, 사생활 침해에 대한 인식이 매우 낮고, SNS 저격에 대한 죄의식도 매우 심각한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 제안한 예방 대책을 통해 SNS 시대에 걸맞은 인식과 규범을 갖춤으로써 탈억제 효과로 인한 부정적 행위의 예방이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

학교 내 청소년들의 권력관계 양상과 유형 파악을 위한 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구 (Development and Validation of the Two Measures (power controllability, power desirability) for Identifying Power Relationships Among the School Youth)

  • 본 연구는 학교 내 청소년들의 권력관계 유형 파악을 위해 사용할 수 있는 척도인 '권력장악가능성'과 '권력장악욕구' 척도의 개발 및 타당화를 목적으로 했다. 선행연구에서 사용되었던 문항들을 기초로 추가 문항을 개발하기 위해 초 중 고등학생들을 대상으로 개별 면접과 초점 집단 면접을 실시하였으며 개발된 문항의 안면타당도와 내용타당도 확인을 위해 학교교사 및 전문가 집단의 자문을 받았다. 최종 선정된 문항을 갖고 수도권 소재 초 중 고생(N=1,822)을 대상으로 설문을 실시해 탐색적 요인분석 및 확인적 요인분석을 수행하였다. 확인된 요인구조의 타당화를 위해 별도로 수집된 수도권 중학생 표본(N=333)을 대상으로 타당화 검사를 실시하였다. 타당화 표본을 통해 척도의 구성타당도와 신뢰도를 산출하였으며 '권력장악가능성'과 '권력장악욕구'를 바탕으로 분류된 권력관계 유형과 학교폭력 현장에서 학생들의 실제 역할 사이의 관련성을 확인함으로써 개발된 척도의 예측타당도를 점검하였다.

  • Entering into the 21th century, the whole world is facing the various problems such as environmental disruption, resource exhaustion, and social isolation due to the consequences of population growth and economic development. Especially, as the world population is aging, the solutions for these problems are being suggested with a new paradigm of environmental design for sustainable society providing more affluent and safer life for them. Aging societies are experiencing the difficulty in pursuing persistent vitality of life when aged population is socially excluded, and communities are stagnant due to the decrease of economic activities. In other words, those factors are causing the problems of social sustainability associated with the vital duration of local society and communities. In order to develop successful environment for aging society, it is necessary for us to precisely review how advanced countries are changing their directions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine current trends of the aging friendly environment and find out the measures to promote social sustainability under the crisis of aging society. For this purpose, using qualitative methods, this study analyzed the contents presented at a professional conference , that showed current trends clearly, into three dimensions of social sustainability; the social integration of senior living communities with local society, the vitality of the communities, and the invigoration of individual senior lives. As a result, this study found that the measures that attempt to enhance the social sustainability of aging population can be also used to invigorate the communities.

블렌디드 러닝 환경에서 사회 연결망 중심도와 학습자 성과 간의 상관관계 (Correlation Between Social Network Centrality and College Students' Performance in Blended Learning Environment)

  • 본 연구는 오프라인 수업을 온라인 토론이 보조하는 블렌디드 러닝 형태의 대학교 수업 상황에서 학습자의 적에 미치는 사회 연결망의 효과를 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. '사이버 학습 세미나' 과목을 수강하는 36명의 교육대학교 학생들을 대상으로 교우 연결망 중심도, 조언 연결망 중심도, 그리고 적대 연결망 중심도 등 세 가지 사회 연결망 변수들을 측정한 후, 이를 기말 과제 및 시험 점수 등 학습자 성과 변수들과의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 조언 연결망 중심도와 교우 연결망 중심도는 학습 성과와 정적 상관관계를 보이고 있었던 반면, 적대 연결망 중심도는 대부분분의 성과 변수들과 부적 상관관계를 보였다. 온라인 토론의 양과 질은 교우 연결망 중심도 및 조언 연결망 중심도와 높은 상관을 보였으며, 특히 그 질은 조언 연결망과 매우 높은 정적 상관관계를 나타내었다.

Mainstreaming of Health Equity in Infectious Disease Control Policy During the COVID-19 Pandemic Era

  • The Korean government's strategy to combat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has focused on non-pharmaceutical interventions, such as social distancing and wearing masks, along with testing, tracing, and treatment; overall, its performance has been relatively good compared to that of many other countries heavily affected by COVID-19. However, little attention has been paid to health equity in measures to control the COVID-19 pandemic. The study aimed to examine the unequal impacts of COVID-19 across socioeconomic groups and to suggest potential solutions to tackle these inequalities. The pathways linking social determinants and health could be entry points to tackle the unequal consequences of this public health emergency. It is crucial for infectious disease policy to consider social determinants of health including poor housing, precarious working conditions, disrupted healthcare services, and suspension of social services. Moreover, the high levels of uncertainty and complexity inherent in this public health emergency, as well as the health and socioeconomic inequalities caused by the pandemic, underscore the need for good governance other than top-down measures by the government. We emphasize that a people-centered perspective is a key approach during the pandemic era. Mutual trust between the state and civil society, strong accountability of the government, and civic participation are essential components of cooperative disaster governance.
