  • This paper purports to compare the differences and similarities of social exclusions in Korea with those in the European countries, notably Germany, France, Sweden, Finland, Ireland and U.K. For this purpose, chapter two examines political and social origins of social exclusion as an alternative concept to poverty or unemployment. Chapter three discusses social exclusion paradigms of Silver(1994) in reference to welfare regime theories of Esping-Andersen(1990). Subsequently chapter four, using two artificial social exclusion indicators by principal component analysis, defines the basic nature of social exclusion of Korea in comparison with those of the six European countries. Chapter five duly concludes that social exclusions in Korea are very similar to those of liberal countries (Ireland and U.K.) in that income indicators (poverty and inequality) of Korea are much worse, whereas unemployment rate is relatively low.

  • This study was conducted to diagnose the issues of AI ethics in global content and to discuss what kind of discourse is needed to strengthen human identity. To this end, the study selected Netflix original content "The Social Dilemma" for analysis and adopted narrative analysis as the research method. The analysis results confirmed that "Social Dilemma" showed the structure of a traditional current affairs documentary and mainly used experts and statistical data to develop the story. It also reinforced core content claims by enumerating domestic and foreign cases such as the 2021 Myanmar massacre and the spread of fake news. In addition, the relationship between the characters clearly revealed the binary opposition between developers and media companies as well as users and advertisers. For the solution to the problem, strong regulations on businesses and the suspension of social media use were reached. However, "The Social Dilemma" merely pointed out the misuse of AI technology and had a narrative that ignored human identity and social relationships. Such results raise the need for creating contents that emphasize the importance of human sociality, relationships, and learning ability in the age of AI.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore the pattern of user response and it's duration time through social media content response analysis. We also analyze the characteristics of content quality factors which are associate with the user response pattern. The analysis results will provide some implications to develop strategies and schematic plans for the operator of regional marketing on the SNS. Design/methodology/approach This study used mixed methods to verify the effects and responses of social media contents on the users who have concerns about regional events such as local festival, cultural events, and city tours etc. Big data analysis was conducted with the quantitative data from regional government SNSs. The data was collected through web crawling in order to analyze the social media contents. We especially analyzed the contents duration time and peak level time. This study also analyzed the characteristics of contents quality factors using expert evaluation data on the social media contents. Finally, we verify the relationship between the contents quality factors and user response types by cross correlation analysis. Findings According to the big data analysis, we could find some content life cycle which can be explained through empirical distribution with peak time pattern and left skewed long tail. The user response patterns are dependent on time and contents quality. In addition, this study confirms that the level of quality of social media content is closely relate to user interaction and response pattern. As a result of the contents response pattern analysis, it is necessary to develop high quality contents design strategy and content posting and propagation tactics. The SNS operators need to develop high quality contents using rich-media technology and active response contents that induce opinion leader on the SNS.

In this empirical model, two performance variables such as economic and social performance represent the dependent variables. And the size and age of the social enterprises are the controlled variables. By analyzing survey data of 107 social enterprises interesting and meaningful results are obtained. Social entrepreneurship influenced economic and social performance of social enterprises. And relationship-oriented organizational culture influenced economic and social performance of social enterprises. On the other hand, government support policy influenced economic performance of social enterprises, but did not influence its social performance. • The purpose of the study was to explore the potential of the Social Network Analysis as an analytical tool for scientific investigation of learner-learner, or learner-tutor interaction within an Computer Supported Corporative Learning (CSCL) environment. Theoretical and methodological implication of the Social Network Analysis had been discussed. Following theoretical analysis, an exploratory empirical study was conducted to test statistical correlation between traditional performance measures such as achievement and team contribution index, and the centrality measure, one of the many quantitative measures the Social Network Analysis provides. Results indicate the centrality measure was correlated with the higher order learning performance and the peer-evaluated contribution indices. An interpretation of the results and their implication to instructional design theory and practices were provided along with some suggestions for future research.

  • This study focused on how to analyze the ICT policy formation process using social big data. Specifically, in this study, a method for quantifying variables that influenced policy formation using the concept of a policy triggering mechanism and elements necessary to present the analysis results were proposed. For the analysis of the ICT policy triggering mechanism, variables such as 'Scope', 'Duration', 'Interactivity', 'Diversity', 'Attention', 'Preference', 'Transmutability' were proposed. In addition, 'interpretation of results according to data level', 'presentation of differences between collection and analysis time points', and 'setting of garbage level' were suggested as elements necessary to present the analysis results.
