  • The increasing complexity of business and social settings bas lead to innovation becoming a strategic imperative. The need for innovation in the quest for competitive advantage also means that firms must be dynamic and flexible. This is often achieved through collaborative arrangements such as strategic alliances or strategic network Many organizations form alliances by leveraging their resources to gain access to the partner's skills and capabilities; ultimately to enhance innovation and performance. We demonstrate empirically that the "chain of innovation" is central to the process of innovation in global alliances. This chain comprises the creativity and learning processes and knowledge stock in alliances. Our empirical analysis is based on a survey of alliances that resulted in 114 responses. For management, this research bas significant potential in guiding attention to the chain of innovation, to better manage the overall process of innovation in alliances. Our work shows that more effective creativity and learning processes and a greater knowledge stock lead to a more effective alliance innovation process. Managers therefore, need to concentrate on creating environments wherein the processes of creativity and learning are fostered, increasing the alliance knowledge stock and in turn, increasing innovative output via an effective innovation process.

  • The current study aimed at examining the structural relationships among coparenting, fathers' involvement in child rearing and the children's participation in housework. 154 fathers and their 5th or 6th grade children living in Jeju participated in the study. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model(SEM) technique. The results revealed that when the fathers reported greater alliance in their coparenting, they were more likely to participate in child rearing. Fathers' involvement significantly predicted greater housework participation of their school-aged children. Higher levels of undermining and gate-keeping in coparenting were associated with less father involvement, which in turn, predicted less housework participation by their children. Gatekeeping also directly predicted lower levels of housework of children. Father involvement significantly mediated the relationship between coparenting and children's housework. The implications for the education/intervention programs promoting coparenting and father involvement were further discussed.

This paper has two folds in analysing the strategic network formulated by project level alliances in Korean construction industry. • Today, nuclear energy conflict is caused from the dangerous radioactive material. The main party of this conflict are politic and economic systems which deride nuclear energy, and the persons concerned which it oppose and the anti-nuclear environment group. If the nuclear waste is transported from one nation to another nation, multi national anti-nuclear group appears as conflict party. We call this domestic and transnational risk communication new social movement. From the viewpoint of system theory, the new social movement can mean the offensive development of self-reference which withstand the "technicalization of communication" through the "symbolically generalized communication media" like money and power. By comparing Northeast Asia and Europe, the nuclear energy conflict did not show a big difference in the selection of nuclear waste storing site. In the Northeast Asia, when Taiwan exports the nuclear waste to North Korea, the international conflict broke out. In Europe, Germany has a hard experience with the construction-plan for the re-treating plant that produces the plutonium from the dangerous nuclear waste, and with the transnational transport of the nuclear waste. The new social movement aims the global paradigm which is able to guarantee the subtainability of ecological environment. The nuclear conflict in the "world risk society" is solved through the "discourse-alliance" which accomplishes sub-politics by crossing the border of class, nation and system.

  • Recently, this government is implementing the "eradication of four social evils" policy to root out social evils which includes sexual violence, school violence, domestic violence and substandard food. In retrospect, these social evils are the crimes that have sprung from rapid social changes in Korea. These main four crimes not only badly affect certain victims but also spread their viciousness to broad population. Moreover, the prevention of the occurrence of the crime and the problem solving as an individual unit are hardly possible. Due to their critical effects and continuity, governmental safety policy enforcement is achieving higher support. As an alliance with the calling from the public for happier and safer life, this paper especially focus on regulating substandard food issue, according to the idea that food safety is an essential prerequisite for the healthy and happy life of the people. Through the reviewing, definition of the substandard food will be cleared and specified substandard food crimes will be introduced as well. And the paper will also pose questions in order to propose improved legal measures against the existing regulations, such as newly adding additional penalty article to food sanitation law.
