스마트 인솔의 족저압 측정 결과에 대한 타당도 및 신뢰도 평가 (Assessment of Validity and Reliability of Plantar Pressure in Smart Insole)

  • Purpose: Smart insoles are wearable devices that are inserted into shoes. Smart insoles with built-in pressure and acceleration sensors can measure the plantar pressure, stride length, and walking speed. This study evaluated the validity and reliability of the plantar pressure measurements of smart insoles during walking on flat ground. Materials and Methods: Twenty one subjects were included in this study. After wearing smart insoles, I-SOL® (Gilon, Seongnam, Korea), the subjects walked a 10 m corridor six times at a rate of 100 steps/min, and the middle three steps, free from direction changes, were chosen for data analysis. The same protocol was repeated after wearing Pedar-X (Novel Corporation, Munich, Germany), an insoletype plantar pressure measurement equipment with proven validity. The average maximum pressure (Ppeak, kPa) and the time at which Ppeak appeared (Ptime, %stride) were calculated for each device. The validity of smart insoles was evaluated by using the interclass correlation coefficient (ICC) of Ppeak and Ptime between the two instruments, and Cronbach's alpha was obtained from the Ppeak values to evaluate the reliability. Results: The ICC of Ppeak was 0.651 (good) in the hallux, 0.744 (good) in the medial forefoot, 0.839 (excellent) in the lateral forefoot, and 0.854 (excellent) in the hindfoot. The ICC of Ptime showed 0.868 (excellent) in the hallux, 0.892 (excellent) in the medial forefoot, 0.721 (good) in the lateral forefoot, and 0.832 (excellent) in the hindfoot. All ICC values showed good or excellent results. The Cronbach's alpha of Ppeak measured in the smart insoles was 0.990 in the hallux, 0.961 in the medial forefoot, 0.973 in the lateral forefoot, and 0.995 in the hindfoot; all indicated excellent reliability in all areas. Conclusion: The plantar pressure measurements of smart insoles during walking on a flat ground showed validity compared to Pedar-X, and high reliability after repeated measurements.

축소형 틸트로터 무인기의 전자동 비행시험을 위한 문제해결과정 (Trouble Shooting for Fully Automatic Flight Test of Small Scaled Tiltrotor UAV)

  • 스마트무인기는 수직이착륙과 고속비행이 동시에 가능하도록 헬리콥터와 고정익 항공기 의 장점을 결합한 틸트로터 항공기이다. 현재 지상통합시험을 수행중이며, 4자유도 지상치구시험과 안전줄 호버시험을 거쳐 비행시험을 수행할 예정이다. 스마트무인기에 적용된 제어법칙을 검증하기 위해서 40%축소기를 개발하여 비행시험을 수행하였다. 비행시험결과 예측하기 어려웠던 틸트로터 항공기의 고유한 기술적인 문제점들이 발생하였으며, 이러한 문제점을 해결하여 전자동 비행시험을 완료하였다. 본 논문에서는 국내 최초로 수행된 축소형 틸트로터 항공기의 비행시험 과정 중에 발생한 주요한 문제점을 서술하고, 그 해결과정을 상세하게 기술하였다. 축소형 틸트로터 항공기의 전자동 비행시험 수행을 통해 경험한 시행착오와 개선사항은 향후 계획된 스마트 무인기의 실물기 비행시험을 성공할 수 있는 훌륭한 초석이 될 것이다.

풍동실험에 의한 붐식 살포 농약의 노즐형태와 분사압력에 따른 비산 특성 분석 (Analyzing Drift Patterns of Spray Booms with Different Nozzle Types and Working Pressures in Wind Tunnel)

  • With rising concerns about pesticide spray drifts, this study analyzed the drift patterns of two typically-used nozzles, XR nozzle and AI nozzle, concerning their working pressures and wind speeds by wind tunnel experiments. AI nozzle showed low drift potential with larger droplet sizes compared to XR nozzle. Airborne and deposition drifts of XR nozzle were two times higher than those of AI nozzle under high wind speeds (≥2 m s-1). In all cases, higher working pressures decreased the droplet sizes, thereby increasing the airborne and deposition drifts. Higher wind speeds also resulted in more airborne drifts, while ground deposition was increased under lower wind speeds. These effects of working pressures and wind speeds on the airborne and deposition drifts were observed at leeward distances less than 4 m from the nozzles. However, the airborne and deposition drifts were barely affected by the working pressures and wind speeds at leeward distances more than 11 m. The measurements were fitted to regression models of the drift curve with acceptable R2 values greater than 0.8, demonstrating that further studies will be useful to settle domestic issues of spray drifts.

Strength analysis of the driving shift gears for a 67 kW class agricultural tractor according to tire type

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the engine torque and rotational speed of a 67 kW class agricultural tractor according to tire type during plow tillage and to analyze the gear strength of the driving shift for the tractor. A field test was performed under the condition with a single tire (Test A) and dual tires (Test B) to increase the ground width of the rear tires. A load monitoring system was developed, and the engine torque and rotational speed were measured using controller area network (CAN) communication. The engine torque and rotational speed during plow tillage were calculated as the equivalent torque and speed using Palmgren Miner's rule. As a result, the equivalent torque and speed in Test A and Test B were 181.0 Nm and 1,913 rpm and 206.1 Nm and 2,130 rpm, respectively. As the ground width of the rear tire was increased, the bending stress in Test B was about 9.9 to 10.5% higher than that of the Test A, and the contact stress was about 4.6 to 4.9% higher than that of the Test A. Under all conditions, the safety factor for the bending and contact stress was 1 or more. Thus, the driving shift gears for the dual tire type are considered safe.

양생조건에 따른 SSG공법의 일축압축강도 평가 (Evaluation on Uniaxial Compression Strength of SSG Method with Curing Condition)

  • 좁은 면적을 단기간에 개량시킬 수 있는 장점이 있는 그라우팅 공법은 지반의 특성과 지하수위 등에 따라 주입 효과의 차이가 있다. 특히 투수성이 큰 지반에서는 시간 경과에 따라서 용탈현상이 발생하여 강도저하 및 차수 성능이 저하되어 품질에 문제가 생길 수 있다. 최근 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 초기강도 확보 및 용탈 방지와 동시에 균열 자기치유 특성을 가지는 SSG가 개발되었다. 이 연구에서는 두 가지 양생조건에 대해 SSG의 일축압축강도 시험을 수행하여 양생기간에 따른 일축압축 강도를 파악하였다. 또한 SSG와 기존의 LW 및 SGR의 일축압축강도와 비교하였다. 연구 결과, SSG가 상온 양생 및 저온 양생 모두에서 강도가 크게 측정되었으며, 초기 강도도 상대적으로 매우 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

무선 통신을 이용한 원격측정 자료처리 지상 점검 시스템 개발 (Development of Data Processing Ground Test System for Telemetry using Wireless Communication)

  • 원격측정 시스템은 비행체의 상태 정보를 계측하여 지상으로 전송하는 시스템이다. 지상에서 수신한 데이터는 비행체의 상태를 모니터링하기 위한 정보로 점검 프로그램을 통해 실시간으로 점검 및 분석이 가능하다. 현재 운용중인 원격측정 자료처리 점검 시스템은 유선 통신을 이용하여 데이터를 전송하고 점검을 수행하도록 구축되어 있다. 계속되는 정보통신기술의 발전으로 스마트 기기가 대중화되면서 무선 통신 네트워크가 중요해지고 있으며, 성능 개선을 위한 기술 개발이 꾸준히 이루어지고 있다. 때문에 본 논문에서는 기존 방식을 탈피하고 미래지향적인 기술을 적용하기 위해 태블릿과 같은 스마트 기기를 통해 점검 가능한 무선 통신(Wi-Fi; Wireless fidelity) 기반의 원격측정 자료처리 지상 점검 시스템을 제안하고 구축하였다. 또한 점검 장비와 점검 프로그램을 연동하여 다양한 환경에서의 테스트를 통해 제안한 점검 시스템의 성능을 확인하였다.

Assessment of a smartphone-based monitoring system and its application

  • Information technology advances are allowing conventional surveillance systems to be combined with mobile communication technologies, creating ubiquitous monitoring systems. This paper proposes monitoring system that uses smart camera technology. We discuss the dependence of interior orientation parameters on calibration target sheets and compare the accuracy of a three-dimensional monitoring system with camera location calculated by space resectioning using a Digital Surface Model (DSM) generated from stereo images. A monitoring housing is designed to protect a camera from various weather conditions and to provide the camera for power generated from solar panel. A smart camera is installed in the monitoring housing. The smart camera is operated and controlled through an Android application. At last the accuracy of a three-dimensional monitoring system is evaluated using a DSM. The proposed system was then tested against a DSM created from ground control points determined by Global Positioning Systems (GPSs) and light detection and ranging data. The standard deviation of the differences between DSMs are less than 0.12 m. Therefore the monitoring system is appropriate for extracting the information of objects' position and deformation as well as monitoring them. Through incorporation of components, such as camera housing, a solar power supply, the smart camera the system can be used as a ubiquitous monitoring system.

스마트폰 음향신호 기반의 상대위치 인식 기술 연구 (A Study on Relative Positioning based on Acoustic Signal of Smart phone)

  • 스마트폰의 보급과 위치 기반 서비스의 활성화로 스마트폰을 기반으로 하는 위치정보 서비스의 필요성과 중요성이 매우 중요해지고 있다. 그러나 기존의 방법들은 경제성이나 편의성, 정확도의 부족으로 실용화가 어려운 상황이며, 무선랜의 신호세기를 이용한 방법은 정확도가 떨어지는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트폰의 음향신호와 블루투스 통신 방식을 이용한 상대위치 인식 기술에 대한 기술적 배경과 구현 기술 및 측정 결과에 대해 기술하였다. 이 기술은 저렴한 구현 비용의 단일 장치로 스마트폰의 정밀한 측위가 가능하며, 특히 실내에서의 위치기반 지능화 서비스에 적합하다.

The smart PFD with LRB for seismic protection of the horizontally curved bridge

  • Recently, number of smart material are investigated and widely used in civil construction and other industries. Present study investigates the application of smart semi-active piezoelectric friction damper (PFD) made with piezoelectric material for the seismic control of the horizontally curved bridge isolated with lead rubber bearing (LRB). The main aim of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of hybrid system and to find out the optimum parameters of PFD for seismic control of the curved bridge. The selected curved bridge is a continuous three-span concrete box girder supported on pier and rigid abutment. The PFD is located between the deck and abutments or piers in chord and radial directions. The bridge is excited with four different earthquake ground motions with all three components (i.e. two horizontal and a vertical) having different characteristics. It is observed that the use of semi-active PFD with LRB is quite effective in controlling the response of the curved bridge as compared with passive system. The incorporation of the smart damper requiring small amount of energy in addition with an isolation system can be used for effective control the curved bridge against the dynamic loading.

User Modeling Using User Preference and User Life Pattern Based on Personal Bio Data and SNS Data

  • The purpose of this study was to collect and analyze personal bio data and social network services (SNS) data, derive user preference and user life pattern, and propose intuitive and precise user modeling. This study not only tried to conduct eye tracking experiments using various smart devices to be the ground of the recommendation system considering the attribute of smart devices, but also derived classification preference by analyzing eye tracking data of collected bio data and SNS data. In addition, this study intended to combine and analyze preference of the common classification of the two types of data, derive final preference by each smart device, and based on user life pattern extracted from final preference and collected bio data (amount of activity, sleep), draw the similarity between users using Pearson correlation coefficient. Through derivation of preference considering the attribute of smart devices, it could be found that users would be influenced by smart devices. With user modeling using user behavior pattern, eye tracking, and user preference, this study tried to contribute to the research on the recommendation system that should precisely reflect user tendency.
