Simulation of the control force of the light aircraft using flight test data (비행시험 자료를 이용한 경항공기의 조종력 시뮬레이션)

  • The purpose of this paper is to find how to determine the parameters of the basic control system design such as hinge moment coefficients and to display the controllability of the ChangCong-91. Since the estimation from the flight test of real aircraft is the most reliable, we performed the flight test of ChangGong-91 to get the various parameters such as velocity, height, control force, control surface deflection, 3 axis acceleration, 3 axis angular rate, pitch angle, angle of attack temperature and so on. We recorded the flight test data in VHS tapes and stored them to personal computer using A/D(analog to digital) converter. Flight test was done in various conditions, and the acquired data was processed with parameter identification method such as least square method. These data will be utilized for the development of Autopilot System design and Control Loading System design.

  • This paper suggests a speed control algorithm for the ICC(Intelligent Cruise Controller) system. The speed controller is designed using the fuzzy controller which shows the good performance in nonlinear system having the complex mathematical model. The fuzzy controller was equipped with the capability of a self-learning in real time in order to maintain the good performance of the speed controller in a time-varying environment the self-learning properties and the performance of the fuzzy controller are showed via computer simulation. The suggested fuzzy controller will be applied to the PRV-III which is our test vehicle.

  • We design a homing guidance law based on the proportional navigation for the fast-rolling, single-axis control missiles and analyse the misdistance of the designed guidance system. The guidance law includes a compensation scheme which compensates for the phase-shift between the commanded and achieved acceleration which is peculiar to the fast rolling airframe with single-axis control. In the error analysis of the guidance system, we calculate the misdistance with respect to the target maneuver on the 3-dimensional space via direct simulations. Also, we conduct adjoint simulation on the 2-dimensional plane in case that phase-shift is perfectly compensated. Finally we approximate the linear time-varying dynamics of the missile with autopilot to a linear time-invarient system, and as a result we can find the misdistance as a closed-form.

  • This paper presents a comparison among three types of approaches to an ARC (Active Roll Control) with an AARB(Active Anti-Roll Bar) for a vehicle system. Lateral acceleration and road profile are considered as disturbance. The ARC is designed with an LQ SOF (Linear Quadratic Static Output Feedback) control, $H_{\infty}$ control and SMC (Sliding Mode Control). These approaches are compared in terms of rollover prevention and ride comfort. For comparison, Bode plot analysis based on linear model and frequency response analysis based on CarSim simulation are performed.

  • Based on ISL' S225 superdetonative mode ram accelerator, numerical simulation is conducted for strong mixture cases ($2H_2+O_2+3CO_2,\;2H_2+O_2+2.5CO_2$). For 3.0CO2 case, projectile is not acclerated, but 2.5CO2 case has sucessful acceleration. It shows that superdetonative mode ram accelerator can be operated when using mixture which strong enough to ignition.

Vibration analysis of CFST tied-arch bridge due to moving vehicles

  • Based on the Model Coupled Method (MCM), a case study has been carried out on a Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular (CFST) tied arch bridge to investigate the vibration problem. The mathematical model assumed a finite element representation of the bridge together with beam, shell, and link elements, and the vehicle simulation employed a three dimensional linear vehicle model with seven independent degrees-of-freedom. A well-known power spectral density of road pavement profiles defined the road surface roughness for Perfect, Good and Poor roads respectively. In virtue of a home-code program, the dynamic interaction between the bridge and vehicle model was simulated, and the dynamic amplification factors were computed for displacement and internal force. The impact effects of the vehicle on different bridge members and the influencing factors were studied. Meanwhile the acceleration responses of some of the components were analyzed in the frequency domain. From the results some valuable conclusions have been drawn.

  • The typical trunk lid system for vehicle is composed of a hinge having 4-bar link and gas lifter. Here, the energy regenerative brake of hydraulic driven systems is applied to the tail gate system for vehicle and removed the gas lifter. The new tail gate system is composed of a hydraulic pump by electric motor, a hydraulic motor, four check valves, an accumulator, a relief valve and a directional control valve. The dynamic characteristics of the hydraulic motor system, such as the surge pressure and response time, are investigated in both brake action and acceleration action. The capacity selection method of accumulator by mathematical model is based upon trial and error approach and computer simulation by AMEsim software is carried out.

  • This paper presents a new variable structure model following control algorithm for control of manipulators. The reference model is a simple double integrators and the acceleration input for the robot manipulator consists of a proportional and derivative controller for the purpose of trajectory tracking. The control algorithm is derived by using Lyapunov stability theory instead of S.S < O, as is usual in the current VSS controller design. This proposed control algorithm does not require good knowledge of the parameter in the inertia matrix and is easily extendable to robot manipulators with a higher number of links. Also, the new algorithm is computationally fast because of not requiring the matrix inversion. The computer simulation was carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed VSMFC.

  • Visual effects are important cues for providing occupant s with virtual reality in a vehicle simulator which imitates real driving. The viewpoint of an occupant is sensitively dependent upon the occupant´s posture, therefore, the total body motion must be considered in a graphic simulator. A real time simulation is required for the dynamic analysis of complex human body motion. This study attempts to apply a neural network to the motion analysis in various driving situations. A full car of medium-sized vehicles was selected and modeled, and then analyzed using ADAMS in such driving conditions as bump-pass and acceleration. A multibody system analysis software, MADYMO, was used in the motion analysis of an adult male dummy in the seated position.   • This paper describes the application of the recently developed feedback linearization technique to designing a new Command to Line-of-Sight (CLOS) guidance law. We show that the CLOS guidance problem can be formulated as a tracking problem. Then, using the feedback input-output linearization technique, we find a new 3dimensional CLOS guidance law that can assure zero miss distance for a randomly maneuvering target. It sheds light on the feedforward acceleration compensation terms used in the conventional CLOS guidance laws to improve the performance. To illustrate further the significance of our result, simulation results are given.
