오스테나이트계 STS 304강의 해수 내 전기화학적 특성에 미치는 캐비테이션의 영향 (Effect of cavitation for electrochemical characteristics in seawater for austenitic 304 stainless steel)

  • 세계 각국은 산업 고도화에 따라 해수환경에 내식성, 내마모성을 갖는 재료에 대한 수요가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 특히 표면이 미려하고 내식성이 강한 스테인리스강은 선박, 해양 플랜트 및 조류발전 등 다양한 산업분야에 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 해양환경에서 $Cl^-$ 이온에 의한 부식 손상과 고속회전에 따라 캐비테이션 손상이 발생하기 쉽다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 해수 내 빠른 유속 환경에 사용되는 304 스테인리스강에 대해 캐비테이션 침식-부식실험을 실시하여 외부 조건이 스테인리스강의 내식성에 미치는 영향을 종합 분석하였다. 캐비테이션이 발생된 조건에서 워터캐비테이션 피닝효과에 의한 시험편 내에 압축잔류응력 형성으로 높은 경도를 나타냈으나, 물리적 충격으로 인한 산화피막 파괴로 동전위 분극 실험에서는 높은 전류밀도를 나타냈다. 따라서 해수 내 캐비테이션에 대한 저항성을 향상시키기 위해서는 전기화학적 특성뿐만 아니라 기계적 특성도 복합적으로 고려한 재료의 선택이 필요하다.

대형 캐비테이션터널에서 몰수체 저항시험 및 위벽효과 수정 기법 연구 (Study of the Resistance Test and Wall Blockage Correction Method for the Submerged Body in LCT)

  • In order to study the resistance test technique for the submerged body in Large Cavitation Tunnel (LCT), DARPA Suboff, submarine model publicly available was manufactured. DTRC released the resistance test data of DARPA Suboff conducted at ship speeds up to 18.0 knots in high-speed towing tank in 1990. As LCT is considered restricted waterways with walls, the resistance test results must be corrected with three wall blockage effects called buoyancy effect, solid blockage effect and wake blockage effect. Before correction, the resistance of LCT was 16~20 % higher than that of DTRC. After correction, the resistance and the resistance coefficients were compared with those of DTRC. The corrected resistance of LCT shows good agreement with that of DTRC. The residual resistance coefficient shows the difference according to the calculation method of buoyancy and frictional resistance coefficient. This paper suggests the best way for the calculation of residual resistance coefficient, On the basis of the present study, it is thought that the operating conditions for the propeller cavitation and noise tests can be drawn through LCT tests.

선박의 장비 공기소음이 수중소음에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Airborne Noise from Ship Machinery on Underwater Noise)

  • In research vessels or naval ships, airborne noise from machineries such as diesel engine is the major source of underwater noise at low speed. In this paper, effect of engine noise on underwater noise is studied by considering two paths; sound radiation from hull plate and direct airborne noise transmission through hull plate. SEA (Statistical energy analysis) is used to predict hull plate vibration induced by engine noise, where SEA model consists of only two subsystems; engine room air space and hull plate. The pressure level in water is calculated from sound radiation by plate. Engine noise transmission through hull plate is obtained by assuming plane wave propagation in air-limp plate-water system. Two effects are combined and compared to the measurement, where speaker is used as a source in engine room and sound pressure levels in engine room and water are measured. The hydrophone is located 1 m away from the hull plate. It is found below 1000 Hz, prediction overestimates underwater sound pressure level by 5 to 12 dB.

"Inclined Keel" 컨테이너선의 조파저항 최소화를 위한 선형최적화 (Minimization of Wave-making Resistance for "Inclined Keel" Containership)

  • Ever increasing fuel prices, almost doubled in the last three years, and global pressure to reduce their environmental impact have been enforcing commercial vessel operators and designers to re-assess current vessel designs with emphasis on their propulsion systems and operational practices. In this paper the "Inclined Keel Hull (IKH)" concept, which facilitates to use larger propeller diameter in combination with lower shaft speed rates and hence better transport efficiency, is explored for a modern 3600 TEU container vessel with the aim of fitting an 13 % larger diameter propeller (and hence resulting 20% lower rpm) to gain further power saving over the similar size basis container ship with conventional "level keel" configuration. It appears that successful application of the "inclined keel Hull" concept is a fine balance amongst the maximum gain in propulsive efficiency, minimum increase in hull resistance and satisfaction of other naval architectural and operational requirements. In order to make the concept economically more viable, this paper concentrates on the fore body design with the possible combination of increase of volume in its fore body to recover the expected volume loss in the aft body due to the space for larger propeller and its low wave-making resistance to minimize the efficiency loss using a well-established optimization software.

해양작업지원선(PSV)의 기본설계 및 저항추진 성능 향상을 위한 선형개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the Basic Design for Platform Support Vessel (PSV) and Hull Form Development for Enhancement of Resistance & Propulsion Performance)

  • Present paper shows the basic design procedure for platform support vessel operating in open sea, and hull form development process. General design concept considering the operating mission, operating sea condition and shipping freight, etc. is explained shortly. For the hull form design, the initial hull form was designed based on the reference PSVs. The resistance and propulsion test results for the initial hull form with twin Azimuth thruster were analyzed and a few items for improvement were derived. At the next stage, main parameters including Length, Cp-curve, Cb, Lcb, etc. were changed totally for the hull form improvement. Furthermore, 3 different bulbous bows for the fore-body design to reduce the wave resistance and after-body design to reduce the residual resistance were carried out. The best hull form among the 3 fore-bodies with same after-body was selected through the comparison of wave resistance calculation results. Twin ducted Azimuth thruster with the smaller propeller diameter than the former were adapted to increase the propulsive efficiency. The final hull form with the twin Azimuth thruster was evaluated to satisfy more than the target design speed 14 knots in sea condition with sea margin 15% at the 5,000kW BHP through the model test in KRISO.

Cooperative control system of the floating cranes for the dual lifting

  • This paper proposes a dual lifting and its cooperative control system with two different kinds of floating cranes. The Mega-erection and Giga-erection in the ship building are used to handle heavier and wider blocks and modules as ships and off-shore platforms are enlarged. However, there is no equipment to handle such Tera-blocks. In order to overcome the limit on performance of existing floating cranes, the dual lifting is proposed in this research. In the dual lifting, two floating cranes are well-coordinated to add up the lift capabilities of both cranes without any loss such that virtually a single crane is lifting, maneuvering and unloading. Two main constraints for the dual lifting are as follows: First, two barges of floating cranes should be constrained as a rigid body not to cause a relative motion between two barges and main hooks of the two cranes should be controlled as main hooks of a single crane. In order words, it is necessary to develop the cooperative control of two floating cranes in order to sustain a center of gravity of the module and minimize the tilting angle during the lifting and unloading by the two floating cranes. Two floating cranes are handled as a master-slave system. The master crane is able to gather information about all working conditions and make a decision to control the individual hook speed, which communicates the slave crane by TCP/IP. The developed control system has been embedded in the real floating crane systems and the dual lifting has been demonstrated five times at SHI shipyard in 2015. The moving angles of the lifting module are analyzed and verified to be suitable for hoisting control. It is verified that the dual lifting can be applied for many heavier and wider blocks and modules to shorten the construction time of ships and off-shore platforms.

소형선박의 항해가이딩시스템 구축 (Building of Navigation Guiding System for Small Ships)

  • 지난 5년간(1998${\sim}$2002년) 우리나라에서 발생한 해양사고를 살펴보면 100톤 미만의 소형어선이 70.9%를 차지하고 있다. 이것은 소형선박 항해사의 고령화와 선박운항에 관한 전문지식을 결여에 기인한다고 볼 수 있으며, 상선의 경우 연안어선 및 통한선의 증가로 연안항해에 지장을 받고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 상황에서 외부상황을 육안으로 관찰하면서 항해에 필요한 상황을 언어적 표현에 의해 가이딩 받을 수 있다면 항해 안전에 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 현재 선박에서 항해사에게 항로정보를 제공하는 장비는 ECDIS와 GPS 플로터가 많이 사용되고 있으나 자동항로생성 및 항로설명기능이 없어 숙련된 항해사만 사용할 수 있는 문제가 있으며, 특히 종이해도의 대체 시스템인 ECDIS에 사용되는 ENC를 이용한 자동항로생성 및 항로설명에 관한 연구는 없는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 ENC의 해도데이터와 GPS의 위치데이터, 풍속${\cdot}$풍향계의 풍속${\cdot}$풍향데이터를 이용하여 현 위치에서 목적지까지의 최적항로를 설계하여 안내해주는 항해가이딩시스템을 구축하였고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 유효성을 확인하였다.

부산항 연안해역에서의 소형선박 표류 거동특성 관측 및 분석 (Field Experiments and Analysis of Drift Characteristics of Small Vessels in the Coastal Region off Busan Port)

  • 표류지점 추정 모델의 환경 입력자료를 확보하기 위해 부산항 연근해에서 표류실험을 실시하였다. 실험에는 크기가 다른 4척의 선박(10, 20, 50, 90톤급)이 사용되었다. 그중 50톤급 선박에는 해류, 바람, 위치를 자동적으로 기록하는 계기들을 장착하였고, 나머지 선박들에서는 분산각 추정 연구를 위해 위치자료만 기록하였다. 각 선박들의 위치는 DGPS와 자동위치발신기(APRS)를 사용하여 기록하였다. 실험은 풍속 2~10m/s, 유속 0.5~1.5m/s의 환경에서 행하여졌으며, leeway는 선박 표류속도에서 표층의 유속성분을 제거하여 구하였다. 50톤급 선박의 leeway rate는 풍속의 약 3.6%인 것으로 분석되었으며, leeway 방정식은 $U_L$ =0.042W -0.034로 표현되었고 leeway angle은 $-30^{\circ}$~$40^{\circ}$의 범위였다.

병항(竝航) 2선박간의 상호작용과 안전항과(安全航過)에 관한 연구 (A Study about the interactions of vessels running parallely proximity to one another and safe conducting of them)

  • 선박이 수로 측벽부근을 항해할 경우, 수로 측벽은 선박에 작용하는 유체력과 모멘트를 유발시킨다. 이와 마찬가지로 근접항해중인 두 선박간에도 상호간섭력이 작용한다 수로 측벽부근을 항해하는 경우와 근접 항해중인 두 선박의 경우의 주요 차이는 선박의 경우에 비하여 수로 측벽은 길고 일정한 형태를 갖추고 있다. 두 선박간의 상호간섭력은 종방향 거리 $x_0$, 횡방향 거리 $y_0$ 및 두선박의 속도의 함수로서 가정 될 수 있다. 저자는 근접 항해중인 두 선박간의 간섭력을 계산하고, 두 선박간의 횡방향 및 종방향 거리와 속도에 따른 안전 항과 거리에 대해서 검토, 고찰하였다.

수중 트레드밀 운동이 노인의 보행 및 균형능력에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Underwater Treadmill on the Elderly's Walking and Balance Ability)

  • Background: This study had been carried out with 20 elderly subjects as its object for about one month from November 3, 2008 to December 14, 2008 in order to observe the effect of Underwater Treadmill on the elderly's walking and balance ability. Methods: Subjects were assigned either experimental group (n=10) or the control group (n=10), experimental group received Underwater Treadmill program (30 min per course, 3days a week for 6weeks). Subjects were assessed for muscle power (Nicolas Manual Muscle Test), balance (Functional Reach Test), gait ability (Time Up and Go, 10M walking test) before experiments and after experiments. Results: The results of this study were as follows; 1. After underwater treadmill exercise, the change of isometric contraction indicated a beneficial increase on lower extremity muscle power of experimental group and functional test of balance function; FRT, TUG indicated beneficial difference between groups. 2. beneficial difference between groups in walking speed of hourly index change of walking function. 3. between muscle power and balance, gait ability, we could find out there's high correlation ship between lower extremity muscle power increasing and balance and gait ability of the elderly. Conclusion: Aerobic exercise using underwater treadmill effects on muscle power strengthening of the elderly, and because of this, increase of lower extremity muscle power is very helpful not only to improvement of balance ability, but also to improvement of gait ability, so it will be used as a physical therapy program on clinic and used as an exercise program for protecting the elderly from falling down very well.
