PEDOT:PSS and Graphene Oxide Composite Hydrogen Gas Sensor (전도성 고분자 PEDOT:PSS와 산화 그래핀 복합물 수소 가스 센서)

  • The power law is very important in gas sensing for the determination of gas concentration. In this study, the resistance of a gas sensor based on poly (3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate+graphene oxide composite was found to exhibit a power law dependence on hydrogen concentration at $150^{\circ}C$. Experiments were carried out in the gas concentration range of 30~180 ppm at which the sensor showed a sensitivity of 6~9% with a response and recovery time of 30s.

  • ABS sensor ring has been manufactured by P/M method using 400 series ferrite stainless steel. the results are as following : It is supposedly sufficient to use for control computer due to good experimental results of magnetic characteristics. Compared with sensor ring made by iron, 400 series ferrite stainless steel has shown a good corrosion resistance without an addition surface treatment. Thus the decreasing production process has been obtained. As a result of hardness and tensile test, 400 series ferrite stainless steel shown a good endurance when it is combined to C/V joint, and has a good hardness properties endurable In sand and pebble impact.

  • In this paper, we developed enzyme electrode of a new form to improve performance of disposable glucose sensor. We could fabricate electrode of Cu/Ni/Au structure which has very low electrical resistance (0.1 $\Omega$) by sticking copper film to plastic film with laminating method and electro-plated nickle and gold on it. The enzyme electrode was completed by immobilizing enzyme on the fabricated electrode. The fabricated glucose sensor has very quick sensing time as 3 seconds, and excellent reproducibility, fabrication yield as well.

  • To address the need for new intelligent sensing, this paper introduces nano sensors made of carbon nanotube (CNT) composites and presents their preliminary experiments. Having smart material properties such as piezoresistivity, chemical and bio selectivity, the nano composite can be used as smart electrodes of the nano sensors. The nano composite sensor can detect structural deterioration, chemical contamination and bio signal by means of its impedance measurement (resistance and capacitance). For a structural application, the change of impedance shows specific patterns depending on the structural deterioration and this characteristic is available for an in-situ multi-functional sensor, which can simultaneously detect multi symptoms of the structure. This study is anticipated to develop a new nano sensor detecting multiple symptoms in structural, chemical and bio applications with simple electric circuits.

  • This paper describes fabrication and characteristics of metal thin-film pressure sensor for working at high temperature. The proposed pressure consists of a chrom thin-film, patterned on a Wheat stone bridge configuration, sputter-deposited onto thermally oxidized Si membranes with an aluminium interconnection layer. The fabricated pressure sensor presents a low temperature coefficient of resistance, high-sensitivity, low non-linearity and excellent temperature stability. The sensitivity is 1.097∼1.21mV/V$.$kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ in the temperature range of 25∼200$^{\circ}C$ and the maximum non-linearity is 0.43%FS.

  • This paper represents a hot-film flow sensor which is compensated by a noble temperature compensation method using the initial unbalanced voltage. The resistance value of the sensor is determined by using the graph of the initial unbalanced voltage of an open-loop circuit against the air temperature. The compensation is accomplished by applying the unbalanced ratio of the resistors in the Wheastone bridge circuit. In the range of air temperature of $-20^{\circ}C{\sim}120^{\circ}C$, the error is about ${\pm}1%$.

  • In this paper, we developed an optical sheet for LED lighting with integrated $CO_2$ gas and temperature sensor which can monitor at the indoor environment. The optical sheet for LED lighting is fabricated through PMMA(Polymethyl methacrylate) injection process using mold. This research enables to fabricate the reflective sheet, light-guide plate and the prism sheet in a optical sheet. The fabricated sheet demonstrates higher intensity of optical efficiency compared with single-sided sheets. The $CO_2$ sensor was fabricated using NDIR(NON-Dispersive Infrared) method and it has $0.0235mV/V{\cdot}PPM$ sensitivity. The temperature sensor was fabricated using RTD(Resistance temperature detector) method and it has $0.563{\Omega}/^{\circ}C $sensitivity.

  • Long term stability, sensitization in air, and gas sensing behaviors of tin oxide films were investigated with doping of antimony and palladium. The tin oxide films were prepared on a Corning glass by reactive rf sputtering method and tested for detection of hydrogen gas. Sb-doping improved a long-term stability in the base resistance of $SnO_2$ film sensor. A small amount of Pd doping caused the optimum sensor operating temperature to reduce and also enhanced the gas sensitivity, compared with the undoped $SnO_2$ film. Gas sensitivity depended largely on the film thickness. The important sensitization reactions for sensor operating were $(O_{2ads})+e^-\;{\rightarrow}\;2(O_{ads})^-$ on the surface of $SnO_2$ film at elevated temperature in air and a followed reaction of hydrogen atoms with $(O_{ads})^-$ ions.
