유기랭킨사이클로 구동되는 증기압축냉동사이클의 엑서지 해석 (Exergy Analysis of Vapor Compression Cycle Driven by Organic Rankine Cycle)

  • 본 연구에서는 열 구동 냉동사이클로서 유기 랭킨사이클 (ORC)과 증기 압축 냉동사이클(VCC)의 복합 사이클에 대한 엑서지 해석을 수행하였다. 시스템의 열원으로는 다양한 재생 에너지 열원이나 산업체에서의 폐열 등 현열 형태의 저온 열원을 고려하였으며 작동유체로서 R143a, R22, R134a, 프로판, 이소부탄, 부탄, R245fa 및 R123 등 여덟가지 작동유체들을 고려하였다. 터빈 입구 압력의 변화나 작동유체의 종류에 따라 시스템의 COP 나 엑서지 효율은 물론 시스템의 각 요소에서의 엑서지 파괴 (아너지)에 미치는 다양한 영향에 대해 분석하고 논의하였다. 해석 결과는 주어진 열원 온도에 대해 시스템에서 가장 엑서지 파괴가 큰 구성 요소는 터빈 입구 압력과 작동유체에 따라 민감하게 변화하는 사실을 보여준다.

재생 유기플래시 사이클의 열역학적 성능 해석 (Thermodynamic Performance Analysis of Regenerative Organic Flash Cycle)

  • 최근 들어 작동유체가 액체 상태를 유지하며 흡열 과정이 일어나는 증기동력사이클인 유기플래시 사이클이 제안되었다. 본 연구에서는 재생을 이용한 수정 유기플래시 사이클을 제안하고 현열 형태의 저온 열원을 사용하는 시스템의 열역학적 성능 해석을 수행하였으며 작동유체나 플래시 온도가 순생산 동력이나 열효율 등 시스템의 성능에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 분석하고 논의하였다. 해석 결과는 시스템의 순생산동력은 플래시 온도에 대해 최대값을 갖지만 열효율은 플래시 온도에 따라 상승함을 보여준다. 재생 사이클은 기존의 유기플래시 사이클에 비해 시스템 열효율이 높고 저온 열원의 동력 변환에 있어 성능 개선을 위한 잠재성을 보여준다.

The Relationships between Abdominal Temperature and Some Thermoregulatory Responses in Male Broiler Chickens

  • This study was conducted to determine the relationships between abdominal temperature (Tabd) and some thermoregulatory responses, such as heat production (HP), heart rate (HR), respiration rate (RR), temperature of external ear tract (Tee), comb surface temperature (Tcs) and shank skin temperature (Tss), for revealing the role of deep body temperature in the thermoregulation of broiler chickens. Tabd was divided into 5 zones of 40-41, 41-42, 42-43, 43-44 and $44-45^{\circ}C$, and maintained for 3 hours in each zone by varying environmental temperature from 11 to $33^{\circ}C$. HP and HR had a greater increase with Tabd above $42.5^{\circ}C$. RR increased markedly with Tabd above $41.5^{\circ}C$, and reached a maximum when Tabd was at $42.5^{\circ}C$, then began to decrease. In addition, HP and HR increased significantly with decrease RR during the decreasing phase of panting. Tcs and Tss changed rapidly with Tabd when Tabd was below $41.5^{\circ}C$, and increased more slowly above $41.5^{\circ}C$. Tee was lower than Tabd, and its increase was less than that of Tabd. These results suggest that changes in thermoregulatory responses are induced by an increase in abdominal temperature. Tabd increases to adjust the ratio of sensible and evaporative heat loss when Tabd is below $42.5^{\circ}C$, while the ability in body temperature regulation gradually disappears when abdominal temperature exceeds $42.5^{\circ}C$ and heat balance can not be maintained.

1월의 동해 남서해역에서의 열수지와 대한해협의 냉수괴 (heat Budget over the South-Western Part of the Japan Sea in the Month of January and Cold Water Mass in the Korea Strait)

  • 온난한 해면위를 비교적 한냉한 대기가 통과할 때 공기와 수면 사이의 열교환량을 알기 위하여서는 해면에서의 현열방출량과 증발량을 측정하여야 하나, 이것들을 직접 측정하기란 현상 자체가 미세하고 측정범위가 너무나 광범위 하기 때문에 매우 어려운 점이 많다. 이런 점들을 극복하기 위하여 Jacobs91949, 1951)와 Manabe(1958)는 기온, 풍속, 증기압과 표면해수온도만을 사용하여 열교환량을 추정할 수 있는 실험식을 구하였다. 이 실험식들은 기온과 표면해수온도와의 차가 크면 클수록 열교환량이 증가함을 나타냈다. 겨울철에 우리나라 동해는 cP기단의 영향으로 한파의 내습이 빈번하고 강한 북서풍이 상존하기 때문에 대기와 해면 사이에 열교환이 왕성한 것은 기정사실이며, 이것에 대한 연구는 Matsumoto(1948, 1967), Manabe(1957, 1958), Kondo(1964), Fujita and Honda(1966)등 여러명의 일본 기상학자들이 관심을 갖고 다루어 왔으나, 이들은 한결같이 동해에서의 열수지 보다 물수지에 관심이 많았고, 일본본토의 강설량과 상관관계를 주로 연구하였다. 본 논문에서는 한국과 일본에서 이미 관측된 해양 및 기상자료를 이용하여 혹한을 동반한 1963년 1월과 난동의 1964년 1월, 그리고 평년의 1965년 1월의 열수지를 계산 비교하고, 이에 따른 여름철의 냉수괴의 세력을 비교 검토하여 보았다.

초음파 풍속온도계를 이용한 $SO_2$건성침착속도의 계절변화 특징 (Seasonal Variations of $SO_2$Dry Deposition Velocity Obtained by Sonic Anemometer-Thermometer)

  • In this study, seasonal variations of the dry deposition velocity and deposition flux for the sulfur dioxide were analysed. The field observation was performed during one year (from November 1, 1995 to October 31, 1996) in Chunchon basin. The turbulence data were measured by 3-dimensional sonic anemometer/thermometer, and were estimated by mean meteorological data obtained at two heights (2.5 m and 10 m) of meteorological tower. Also, the estimation methods were evaluated by comparing the turbulence data. The results showed that the estimated dry deposition velocity and turbulence parameter such as uc and sensible heat flux using mean meteorological data were relatively similar to the sonic measurements, but all showed somewhat large differences. The dry deposition velocity was large in summer and small in winter mainly due to canopy resistance (rc). The major factor which affects diurnal variation of the velocity was aerodynamic resistance (rw). The SO2 dry deposition flux was large in winter and small in summer in Chunchon.

Numerical Study of Snowfall Mechanism arounf Seoul Region

  • A numerical simulation was carried out to investigate the mechanism of snowfall around the Seoul region during a cold air-outbreak in the winter season. A particular case was selected for this study(Dec. 19, 1999). The inflow directions of the synoptic flow in the upper and lower levels were westerly and north-westerly, respectively. Plus, there was a deep trough and thermal ridge at a level of 500/700/850 hPa over the Bal-Hae region, in the northern part of the Korean peninsula. According to the model results, snowfall occurred around the Seoul region with the simultaneous existence of a strong static instability in the lower atmosphere, northerly or westerly dry air advection, and strong thermal advection toward the Seoul region. There was a strong convergence thereby indicating the existence of convective rolls in the clouds. The main energy source of convection over the Yellow sea was a sensible heat flux. The main moisture source was convection. Radiative cooling in the cloud layer intensified the static instability in the lower atmosphere.

부산지역 빌딩 분포 상세화에 따른 중규모 순환 특성 (Characteristics of Mesoscale Circulation with the Detailed Building Distribution in Busan Metropolitan Area)

  • In order to clarify the impacts of thermal difference in atmospheric boundary layer due to the different sophistication of building information in Busan metropolitan areas, several numerical simulations were carried out. ACM (Albedo Calculation Model) and WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) was applied for estimating albedo and meteorological elements in urban area, respectively. In comparison with coarse aggregated and small buildings, diurnal variation of albedo is highly frequent and its total value tend to be smaller in densely aggregated and tall buildings. Estimated TKE and sensible heat flux with sophisticatedly urban building parameterization is more resonable and valid values are mainly induced by urban building sophistication. The simulation results suggest that decreased albedo and increased roughness due to skyscraper plays an important role in the result of thermal change in atmospheric boundary layer.

畜舍의 換氣量 決定을 위한 새로운 換氣그래프 開發 (Development of New Conceptual Ventilation Graphs for Mechanically Ventilated Livestock Buildings)

  • Since ventilation in livestock buildings is critical for indoor air quality, the first step in designing environmental control is to determine required ventilation rate. The purpose of the study was to suggest a conceptually new ventilation graph for determining minimum/maximum ventilation rate based on the conservation law of the thermal energy and mass in livestock buildings. PC-based programs coded with PASCAL language, [RVALUE] for overall thermal resistance of composite structural walls/ceilings, [POLYNOM] for coefficients values of animal's sensible heat equation were involved in developing a computer program, [VENTGRPH] for the determination of ventilation rate. It would be useful for design, for such a program would permit the designer to explore various design options and immediately, see the result in terms of its effect on minimum ventilation rates.

  • Psychrometric chart displays graphically the thermophysical properties of moist air, so it is very conveniently used in air-conditioning and refrigeration. On general psychrometric chart, there are dry bulb temperature, web bulb temperature, absolute humidity ratio, relative humidity, specific enthalpy, specific volume, sensible heat factor, and enthalpy-humidity difference ratio. However, various state and process values besides aboves can be plotted on psychrometric chart. In this study, we developed the software drawing twenty kinds of lines, that is vapor pressure, mole fraction ratio of vapor, dew point temperature, degree of saturation, density, specific entropy, specific exergy, contact or bypass factor, uncomfort index, discomposition index, predicted mean vote index, predicted percent dissatisfied, and so on. We wish to this software is a help to design, analysis and education.

Temporal Variation of Air Temperature in Ice-Valley at Milyang in Association with Ice Formation

  • A long-term in situ observation was carried out in the Ice-valley at Milyang in order to explain the factors and processes associated with the summertime ice formation. The variation of temperature inside Ice-valley in relation with ice formation in summer time was found to depend on precipitation rate in spring and cold air sinking in autumn and winter. The rate of temperature rising tends to correspond to sensible heat release depending on the precipitation amount at the freezing location. The reason of the cold air accumulation in a talus in the Ice-valley is the cold air sinking over the surface of talus due to the occurrence of outside clod air mass and the accumulated cold air from autumn to spring flow outside at the bottom of talus. The out-flowing cold air can result in the ice formation in the hot summer.
