인구통계적 변인에 따른 노년 여성의 외모관심과 자신감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Appearance Interest and Self-Confidence of Elderly Women Associated with Demographic Variables)

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the differences in appearance interest (clothing interest and body adornment) and self-confidence according to demographic variables such as age, education, and allowance, to examine the causal relationships of clothing interest and body adornment on self-confidence of elderly women. Subjects for this study were samples of 215 elderly women (ages 60 to 70) in Seoul, Korea. The instrument was a questionnaire and the survey was done in face-to-face method. 1. There was a significant difference in body adornment according to age. After age was controlled, there were significant differences in appearance interest and self-confidence according to education. There were significant differences in appearance interest and self- confidence according to allowance. 2. Education and allowance had a direct effect on clothing interest. Allowance, age, and education had a direct effect on body adornment. Education had a direct effect on allowance. 3. Clothing interest and allowance had a direct effect, and education had an indirect effect on self-confidence. Body adornment and allowance had a direct effect on self-confidence, education and age had an indirect effect on self-confidence. The present findings provide that appearance interest such as, clothing interest and body adornment had a significant effect on self-confidence of elderly women. It appeared that the connection between body adornment and allowance was stronger than the connection between clothing interest and allowance. The causal relationship of clothing interest on self- confidence was stronger than the causal relationship of body adornment on self-confidence. The clothing interest was a variable that most affected on self-confidence of elderly women.

추후관리를 받은 저출생체중아 어머니의 양육자신감, 사회적지지 및 자아존중감 비교 (The Effects of Follow-Up Care on Social Support, Self-esteem and Maternal Confidence in Low Birth-weight Infant's Mothers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of follow-up care on the social support, self-esteem and maternal confidence in mothers of low birth weight infants. Method: This study applied a quasi-experiment study method to examine the pre-post intervention effects. Eighty-eight mothers whose infants were below 2.5kg of Low birth weight were studied. The period for the data collection was from July to December in 2003. Self Reported Survey and Face to Face Interview by the highly trained home Visiting Nurses were used for this study. Result: Most of the participants reported statistically significant improvements in the score of social support, self-esteem and maternal confidence after they received the intervention. Conclusion: Longitudinal study for the mothers of low birth weight infants might reveal more comprehensive findings. Moreover, follow-up care, which is linked with community health care services, is needed to continue the post hospital care services. Additionally, qualified and professional intervention programs should be provided to consider the characteristics of mothers of low birth weight infants.

간호학과 교수의 비대면 강의 전환 경험 (The Experiences of Transition to Non-face-to-face Lecture in Nursing Professors)

  • 본 연구는 간호학과 교수의 면대면 강의에서 비대면 강의로 전환 경험을 이해하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 연구참여자는 비대면 강의를 적어도 두 학기 이상 진행한 적이 있는 17명의 간호학과 교수이며, 경험적 현상학적 연구방법에 따라 심층적인 개별 면담을 통해 자료를 수집한 후 질적 주제분석 방법에 따라 분석하였다. 연구결과는 비대면 강의에 따른 변화와 전개과정, 학생과의 관계, 자신과의 관계, 사회적 맥락과 사회성이라는 주제를 중심으로 비대면 강의 전환 경험을 기술하였다. 결론적으로 간호학과 교수들은 사회적 변화 흐름에 따라 첨단 테크놀로지를 활용한 비대면 강의를 자율적으로 선택하여 질 높은 강의를 할 수 있도록 충분한 지원을 받을 수 있기를 기대한다.

  • Over the past three years, even amidst viral threats, a notable shift towards online interactions has been observed. This trend persists the presence of significant viral concerns. Our study centered on female office workers in their twenties and thirties in Korea, seeking to comprehend how they enhance and present their external image in the digital era. We explored the use of digital devices and fashion choices that enable them to amplify their self-expression in video conferences. Using a mix of surveys and in-depth interviews, we employed snowball sampling to recruit twelve participants. These women were given the opportunity to shape their digital persona either to uphold their current image or to adapt it for interactions where they weren't face-to-face. Their desired images fell into three distinct categories: an authoritative professional image, a clean modern image, and a natural image. Depending on the context, the participants aimed to convey these images independently or in various combinations. Our findings suggest the need to develop strategies for acknowledging and projecting individual fashion identities in non-face-to-face interactions. Such strategies would empower individuals to better align their online personas with their desired self-image, whether it's professional, modern, clean, natural, or a combination thereof.

Face Image Compression using Generalized Hebbian Algorithm of Non-Parsed Image

  • This paper proposes an image compressing and template matching algorithm for face image using GHA (Generalized Hebbian Algorithm). GHA is a part of PCA (Principal Component Analysis), that has single-layer perceptrons and operates and self-organizing performance. We used this algorithm for feature extraction of face shape, and our simulations verify the high performance for the proposed method. The shape for face in the fact that the eigenvector of face image can be efficiently represented as a coefficient that can be acquired by a set of basis is to compress data of image. From the simulation results, the mean PSNR performance is 24.08[dB] at 0.047bpp, and reconstruction experiment shows that good reconstruction capacity for an image that not joins at leaning.

대면 서비스직 종사자의 COVID-19 스트레스, 정량뇌파 스트레스 지수와 대처방식의 상관분석 (Correlation Analysis for COVID-19 Stress, QEEG Stress Quotient, and Coping Style of Face-to-Face Service Industry Employees)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to measure COVID-19 stress and the quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) stress quotient and identify the coping styles of face-to-face service industry employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This cross-sectional study administered structured questionnaires consisting of sections on general characteristics, COVID-19 stress, and coping style for stress to 21 face-to-face service industry employees between April 1 and April 18, 2021. The physical tension & stress quotient and psychological distraction & stress quotient were measured in the prefrontal lobe with QEEG. Results: Emotional easiness (r=.62, p=.002) and escape-avoidance (r=.55, p=.009) as a passive coping style were associated with COVID-19 stress, and seeking social support as an active coping style was associated with the left physical tension & stress quotient (r=.47, p=.031). Conclusion: These findings provide evidence regarding the objective status of the mental health of face-to-face service industry employees using both a self-reported scale and neuroscientific indicators, including brain quotients.

Analysis of learning flow and learning satisfaction according to the non-face-to-face class operation method

  • This study is a comparative survey study conducted to explore the differences in learners' learning flow and learning satisfaction according to the non-face-to-face class operation methods implemented at universities. After implementing different class management methods for the same subject taught by the same instructor non-face-to-face for 15 weeks, each learning flow and learning satisfaction were compared and analyzed, and the collected data were analyzed with IBM SPSS 21.0. As a result of the study, learning flow was high in the order of lectures using real-time ZOOM and recorded lectures using self-studio(3.41±0.91, 3.28±1.01), and learning satisfaction was high in the order of lectures using real-time ZOOM and lectures using the automatic recording system of classes(3.40±0.80, 3.30±0.74). The item with the lowest score was the PPT audio recording lecture in both areas of learning flow and learning satisfaction(2.72±1.04, 1.73±1.04). Considering that system errors such as sound in the smart lecture environment operated for the first time in this study affected the research results, it is suggested that future research should be conducted by supplementing the corresponding part.

  • 본 연구는 스마트러닝 시스템을 조기 구축하고 임직원 교육을 위해 활용 중인 국내 IT Service 전문기업을 대상으로 스마트기기를 활용한 혼합학습(Blended Learning)이 학습만족도에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 측정하였다. 구체적으로 기술수용모형을 적용하여 스마트기기를 이용한 학습태도인 자기효능감, 개인혁신성, 인지된 유용성, 인지된 용이성이 혼합학습에서 선행학습인 스마트러닝의 수용과 오프라인 면대면 학습의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 스마트러닝의 학습태도는 스마트러닝의 수용에 정의 영향을 주었으며, 스마트러닝의 수용은 오프라인 교육의 학습 만족도에 정의 영향을 주었다. 추가로 스마트러닝의 학습태도는 스마트러닝의 수용뿐만 아니라 오프라이 교육의 학습 만족도에도 정의 영향을 주었다. 이는 스마트러닝 학습태도의 변인들이 자기 주도적 학습과 긍정적인 학습만족도에 영향을 미치고 있음을 시사한다.

다문화가정 초등학생의 자아존중감과 건강행위 간의 관련성 (Association between Self-esteem and Health Behavior of the Children with Multi-cultural Family Background)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the characteristics of health behavior and self-esteem and the relationship between the two factors among elementary school students with multi-cultural family background. Participants: Survey participants were 87 multi-cultural family children who lived in Seoul and Kyoungi areas and were registered in the local elementary schools. Methods: Data collection was conducted by face-to-face interview survey. Elementary education majored undergraduate students who participated in the education support program for multi-cultural family children in the Ministry of Education and Science and primary researcher of this study interviewed the target students and finished the survey questionnaire based on the students' responses. Survey included general characteristics, multi-cultural family characteristics, self-esteem, and (physical, mental, and social) health behavior. Results: 1. The self-esteem scores of the multi-cultural families children were greater in girl than boys among the children whose parents were graduated from college or more, and whose father had his job. The participants' health behavior scores were different by mothers' educational level. 2. The better they speak in English the greater the self-esteem scores. There was no statistical difference in health behavior scores by the participants' multi-cultural family background. 3. Self-esteem had moderate level correlation with health behavior (r= .56, p= .00) including all sub-categories of physical, mental, and social health. Conclusions: Positive self-esteem level is more sensitive to explain multi-cultural family children's health behaviors, which means that self-esteem is an important factor determining multi-cultural children's health behaviors and their health status in future. Therefore, more research to identify the factors related to health behaviors should be supported and the health promotion programs utilizing self-esteem should be developed for the child and youth with multi-cultural family backgrounds.
