This present study purposed to propose a plan of building a future oriented school library that supports teachers' teaching with various multimedia and Internet materials applicable in class immediately, helps students' self directed learning activities, and plays its role as a cultural center of the local community. As for research methods, this study examines the basic directions and characteristics of school libraries defined by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, and investigates the current state of school libraries. In addition, we survey cases of library plans in Incheon, and suggest standards for planning and propose a plan. Ultimately, we establish a library plan for S Elementary School in Incheon and execute the plan and, in the course, derive ideas for satisfying students' demands with regard to their sentiment, stable and flexible layout and flow lines, facilities and space within the library, etc. What is more, we create indexes for library planning so that school libraries can contribute to various cultural activities and the development of local community beyond their functions as school library facilities.

Junior Ranger is a self-directed interpretation program for young visitors at national parks in the United States. The success of this program can be largely attributed to the role of an activity book which is given an applicant free of charge at a visitor center. This study aims to analyze the main characteristics of activity books for 14 national parks' Junior Ranger and to draw some implications for Korean geomorphological education. Although the activity books are varied in size, volume and printing, all of them offer diverse activities which are composed of different contents related to park resources in four fields and are performed in different ways such as Q&A, picture and word game, and creative activity. The time-consuming activities including attendance at a ranger-led program prevent the participant from making a superficial visit to be a junior ranger. The implications of the study are as follows: Firstly, the geomorphological education for children is needed to be strongly based on field experience learning and to be more carried out using a way of game rather than conventional Q&A, suggesting that it encourages students not to lose their interest for learning. Secondly, it is also necessary for the learning contents to be focused on various resources related to landform as well as landform itself. In addition, a creative activity such as writing verse or drawing feeling should be more applied to the geomorphological education in order to enhance their effects on affective domain beyond cognitive one. It is likely to be an alternative approach to understand landform by internalizing a sense of landform.

PURPOSE: This study investigated the job-centered curriculum in the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Brighton, England, to examine NCS (national competency standards) curriculum in physiotherapy. METHODS: The researcher visited the University of Brighton from September 2015 to May 2016 and conducted interviews with faculty members. Data were collected through the university's website and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. RESULTS: The undergraduate program is a three-year program and with a module system. There is a course leader for each module. Each grade requires 120 credits (10 hours per credit) and credit hours can be earned through lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, self-directed e-learning, group work, inter-professional classes, and seminars. Clinical placement is carried out six times during 3 years, for a total of 32 weeks, 35 hours per week, 1120 hours in total. Students are enrolled as a student members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and are covered by professional liability insurance during clinical placement. The Center for Teaching and Learning holds regular workshops to discuss curriculum and module design, conduct course reviews, and review student assessment and feedback. All courses at the university must be approved, monitored annually, and re-approved every 5 years. CONCLUSION: This study can contribute to the development and operation of the NCS physiotherapy curriculum, as well as to the development of modules and assessment tools related to the application of this curriculum.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Engineering computer programming instruction using project learning, to find out the ways to solve some revealed problems, and to improve the instruction. Unlike traditional lecture courses, students are encouraged to cultivate problem solving and teamwork skills through the programming project. In order to examine the effect of project learning, a survey was conducted with 49 students. The questionnaire consisted of 20 items with 5-grade scale each, the contents of which included learning value, workload, skills acquirement, assignment and comment. The SPSS, statistical analysis software was used to get statistics such as ANOVA, correlation and mean, etc. The results of this study showed (1) project learning was more efficient to acquire problem solving and teamwork skills compared with lecture learning, (2) there was significant correlation between self directed learning skill and information collecting skill, (3) cyber education system(i-campus) was helpful for students' self learning. But the results also showed that (4) students did not give high scores on items of the workload or difficulty of assignments. So we can conclude that it is necessary to develop the suitable projects for the capability of students to make the better project learning.

Over the recent industry -wide virtual world and the real world, broadcasting and telecommunications, IT technology and traditional industries, such as the fusion research has been conducted in a variety of fields. And training in the field of education is changing the paradigm of creativity to break the intrusive training center. In addition, the quality of interactive educational content technology to foster self-directed future talent is a situation that is required. The market has already surpassed the smartphone PC, smart devices and e-learning technologies are appearing new service called 'smart learning' as a new form of convergence of the educational system. In this paper, based on the direct development of a content authoring applications and Web sites, and cloud environments to the students collect and analyze patterns. Utilizing this information, we studied the curation service plans that recommend the appropriate content to fit the tastes of the learner.
In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, the world is undergoing rapid social change. The purpose of this study is to predict the expected changes and necessary competencies and desired curriculum and teaching methods in the field of mechanical engineering in the near future. The research method was a Delphi study. It was conducted three times with 20 mechanical engineering experts. The results of the study are as follows: In the field of mechanical engineering, it will be increased the situational awareness by the use of measurement sensors, development of computer applications, flexibility and optimization by user's needs and mechanical equipment, and demand for robots equipped with AI. The mechanical engineer's career perspectives will be positive, but if it is stable, it will be a crisis. Therefore active response is needed. The competencies required in the field of mechanical engineering include collaborative skills, complex problem solving skills, self-directed learning skills, problem finding skills, creativity, communication skills, convergent thinking skills, and system engineering skills. The undergraduate curriculum to achieve above competencies includes four major dynamics, basic science, programming coding education, convergence education, data processing education, and cyber physical system education. Preferred mechanical engineering teaching methods include project-based learning, hands-on education, problem-based learning, team-based collaborative learning, experiment-based education, and software-assisted education. The mechanical engineering community and the government should be concerned about the education for mechanical engineers with the necessary competencies in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which will make global competitiveness in the mechanical engineering fields.
In this study, four gifted students in the second year of middle school at Gifted Education Center of the National University in Jeollanam-do were surveyed students' perceptions of the effectiveness of science class using science writing heuristic in terms of metacognition and the goals of the 2015 revised science curriculum. Through questionnaires and interviews with gifted science students, science gifted students recognized that the science class using science writing heuristic had a positive effect on the four subdomains (planning, monitoring, control, and evaluation) of metacognition. For this reason, the science gifted students presented self-directed experience in designing experiments, continually checking the collected experimental data, feedback process, and reflecting experience in preparing conclusions. Science gifted students recognized that science class using science writing heuristic had a positive effect on the goals of the 2015 revised science curriculum(attitudes, inquiry, knowledge, Science·Technology·Society(STS), and the enjoyment and usefulness of science learning) that correspond to through inquiry science writing lessons. For this reason, the science gifted students presented self-directed inquiry experiences, continual inquiry experiences on the same subject, thinking process at each stage of inquiry, learning experiences through inquiry, experience of the whole inquiry process, and inquiry of phenomena closely related to real life. Therefore, for the effective science class, it is necessary to apply the characteristics of science class using science writing heuristic which is responded by science gifted students to general science class as well as science gifted class later.

The purpose of this paper is to propose some key factors for implementing the Police Knowledge Management System(PKMS) based on Intranet. With Information Technology(IT), the police administrative system will be much more efficient. Introducing the If into the system is critical for restructuring the police administrative system. This paper concludes as follows : ■ Knowledge is divided into tacit and explicit one. Knowledge process is divided into acquisition, accumulation, distribution and creation of knowledge. ■ The IntraNet is composed of Web server, FTP server, electric-mail server, and is constructed security system to safety. ■ All policemen are bound to serve as a new knowledge worker. ■ Police organization needs to operate data management system. The organization also needs to the Police Knowledge Management Center(PKMC). And the Police Chief Knowledge Officers(PCKO) needs to be appointed to manage the PKMC. ■ An information and knowledge infrastructure(various databases are the most important factor) should be established within the organization to promote the self-directed management, the interactive communication, and the learning ability of the members.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the curriculum of a university-affiliated science gifted education center based on the core competencies and to suggest a direction for improving the education at the gifted education center. For this purpose, we set the 12 core competencies as follows: 6 cognitive competencies such as knowledge, creativity, scientific thinking ability, inquiry ability, problem solving ability and fusion ability, and 6 non-cognitive competencies such as task commitment, self-directed learning ability, motivation reinforcement and challenge, communication skills, collaboration ability and leadership. The curricula of the science gifted education centers reflect all the competencies, but some competencies are only potentially included in the contents of the programs. In this study, we present examples of education programs by each competences and suggest additional descriptions for the development of gifted education centers.

It was intended to explore the relationship between motivation for participation in hair education, program satisfaction, and lifelong learning happiness index for adult learners at the Lifelong Education Center, and to provide basic data for revitalizing lifelong education programs. Today, universities have conditions as a comprehensive educational institution with practicality that can meet various and high-quality lifelong educational needs. The university-affiliated Lifelong Education Center plays a role in ensuring the right to learn for all citizens as well as fulfilling the social service function and greatly expanding educational opportunities, which is one of the essential functions of universities, by making good use of the excellent transfer material resources of universities. Adults should now seek professional self-identity through retraining, and respond flexibly to various social situations such as increasing roles, expanding responsibility, and uncertainty in the job and employment structure toward professional socialization in the professional world The subject of the study was to collect data by distributing 90 questionnaires to adult learner hair education subjects in G area, and 85 copies were finally used for SPSS 26.0 for Windows analysis, excluding questionnaires with insufficient responses. The survey period was from November 1 to December 27, 2023. First, it was found that adult learners' motivation to participate in hair education has an effect on the lifelong learning happiness index. Second, it was found that adult learners' satisfaction with the program of hair care workers has an effect on the lifelong learning happiness index. Through this study, it is judged that it is necessary to understand what can maximize the high lifelong learning happiness index, and to meet the learning needs of modern people living in the age of 100, increase their potential, help them design a second life, contribute to self-realization and society, and help them have steady, self-directed lifelong learning opportunities.
