AQ Bond Plus has the function of self-etching priming adhesive, which can be applied by single coating without second coating, being different from conventional AQ bonds. Moreover, because the absorption range of light became wider, the bond can comply with any visible light curing units. Thus, the bond can produce an unified form between the dentine layer with impregnated resin of good quality and the thin and hard film characteristically. In this study, we investigated the junctional conditions of AQ Bond Plus, using a scanning electron microscope (SEM).(omitted)

Area selective atomic layer deposition (AS-ALD) is a bottom-up nanopattern fabrication method that can grow the ALD films only on the desired substrate areas without using photolithography and etching processes. Particularly, AS-ALD has attracted great attention in the semiconductor manufacturing process due to its advantage in reducing edge placement error by fabricating self-aligned patterns. In this paper, the basic principles and characteristics of AS-ALD are described. In addition, various approaches for achieving AS-ALD with excellent selectivity were comprehensively reviewed. Finally, the technology development to overcome the selectivity limit of AS-ALD was introduced along with future prospects.
Ni (100 nm thick) was deposited onto synthesized diamonds to fabricate etched diamonds. Next, those diamonds were annealed at varying temperatures ($400{\sim}1200^{\circ}C$) for 30 minutes and then immersed in 30 wt% $HNO_3$ to remove the Ni layers. The etched properties of the diamonds were examined with FE-SEM, micro-Raman, and VSM. The FE-SEM results showed that the Ni agglomerated at a low annealing temperature (${\sim}400^{\circ}C$), and self-aligned hemisphere dots formed at an annealing temperature of $800^{\circ}C$. Those dots became smaller with a bimodal distribution as the annealing temperature increased. After stripping the Ni layers, etch pits and trigons formed with annealing temperatures above $400^{\circ}C$ on the surface of the diamonds. However, surface graphite layers existed above $1000^{\circ}C$. The B-H loop results showed that the coercivity of the samples increased to 320 Oe (from 37 Oe) when the annealing temperature increased to $600^{\circ}C$ and then, decreased to 150 Oe with elevated annealing temperatures. This result indicates that the coercivity was affected by magnetic domain pinning at temperatures below $600^{\circ}C$ and single domain behavior at elevated temperatures above $800^{\circ}C$ consistent with the microstructure results. Thus, the results of this study show that the surface of diamonds can be etched.
Ultraviolet (UV) light emitting diodes (LEDs) were grown on a patterned n-type GaN substrate (PNS) with 200 nm silicon-di-oxide (SiO2) nano pattern diameter to improve the light output efficiency of the diodes. Wet etched self assembled indium tin oxide (ITO) nano clusters serve as a dry etching mask for converting the SiO2 layer grown on the n-GaN template into SiO2 nano patterns by inductively coupled plasma etching. PNS is obtained by n-GaN regrowth on the SiO2 nano patterns and UV-LEDs were fabricated using PNS as a template. Two UV-LEDs, a reference LED without PNS and a 200 nm PNS UV-LEDs were fabricated. Scanning Electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Photoluminescence (PL) and Light output intensity- Input current- Voltage (L-I-V) characteristics were used to evaluate the ITO-$SiO_2$ nanopattern surface morphology, threading dislocation propagation, PNS crystalline property, PNS optical property and UVLED device performance respectively. The light out put intensity was enhanced by 1.6times@100mA for the LED grown on PNS compared to the reference LED with out PNS.

Optical Emission Spectroscopy(OES) is a very important technology for real-time monitoring of plasma in a reactor during dry etching process. OES technology is non-invasive to the plasma process. It can be used to collect information on excitation and recombination between electrons and ions in the plasma. It also helps easily diagnose plasma intensity and monitor end-point during plasma etch processing. We studied high density planar inductively coupled BCl$_3$ and BCl$_3$/Ar plasma with an OES as a function of processing pressure, RIE chuck power, ICP source power and gas composition. The scan range of wavelength used was from 400 nm to 1000 nm. It was found that OES peak Intensity was a strong function of ICP source power and processing pressure, while it was almost independent on RIE chuck power in BCl$_3$-based planar ICP processes. It was also worthwhile to note that increase of processing pressure reduced negatively self-induced dc bias. The case was reverse for RIE chuck power. ICP power and gas composition hardly had influence on do bias. We will report OES results of high density planar inductively coupled BCl$_3$ and BCl$_3$/Ar Plasma in detail in this presentation.

Dense and periodic arrays of holes and tungsten none dots were fabricated on silicon oxide and silicon. The holes were approximately 25 nm wide, 40 nm deep, and 60 nm apart. To obtain nano-size patterns, self-assembling resists were used to produce layer of hexagonally ordered parallel cylinders of polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA) in polystyrene(PS) matrix. The PMMA cylinders were degraded and removed with acetic acid rinse to produce a PS mask for pattern transfer. The silicon oxide was removed by fluorine-based reactive ion etching(RIE). Selectively deposited tungsten nano dots were formed inside nano-sized trench by using a low pressure chemical vapor deposition(LPCVD) method. Tungsten nano dot and trenched silicon sizes were 26 nm and 30 nm, respectively.
Statement of problem : Limited research on flowable resin has been undertaken on its application directly on dentin associated with the adhesive systems. Purpose : This study was to evaluate the shear bond strengh and fracture aspect of flowable resin on human dentin with various types of dentin bonding adhesives with thermo cycling effect. Materials and methods: Filtek-Flow(3M ESPE, USA) was used as flowable resin and Eighty human molars were randomly divided into 4 groups : three dentin bonding adhesives (Scotchbond-Multipurpose : 3-step contentional system, One-Step : One-bottle system. Prompt L-Pop : All-in-one, self-etching primer) and 32% etching treatment without bonding adhesive as a control group. For evaluating their durability of bonding, each group was subdivided : storaging in the water at 37$^{\circ}C$(24 hours) and thermocycling (0$^{\circ}C$-55$^{\circ}C$, 30 seconds intervals, 1000 cycle). Shear bond strength tests were performed and resin-dentin interface and fracture mode were observed. Results were analysed by one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's multiple range test. Results and Conclusion : 1. At 0 cycle, the mean shear bond strength of One-Step exhibited the highest value of all groups(p<0.05), and there were no significant differences between Prompt L-Pop and Scotchbond-Multipurpose, Scotchbond-Multipurpose and control(p>0.05). After 1000 thermocycling, One-Step exhibited higher value than other groups(p<0.05), and there were no significant differences among other groups (p>0.05). 2. The shear bond strength of each group was significantly decreased after thermocycling except Scotchbond-Multipurpose (p>0.05). 3. The most common failure mode was adhesive type and mixed type, next in order.
Luminous efficiency and uniformity in a LCD-BLU are mainly determined by fine scattering patterns formed on the light guide panel. We propose a novel fabrication method of 3-dimensional scattered patterns based on anisotropic etching of silicon wafers. Micro-pyramid patterns with 70.5 degree apex-angle and micro-prism patterns with 109.4 degree apex-angle can be self-constructed by the wet, anisotropic etching of (100) and (110) silicon wafers, respectively, and those patterns are easily duplicated by the PDMS replica process. Experimental results on spatial and angular distributions of irradiation from the light guide panel with the micro-pyramid patterns were very consistent with the calculation results. Surface roughness of the silicon-based micro-patterns is free from any artificial defects since the micro-patterns are inherently formed with silicon crystal surfaces. Therefore, we expect that the silicon based micro-patterning process makes it possible to fabricate perfect 3-dimensional micro-structures with crystal surface and apex angles, which may guarantee mass-reproduction of the light guide panels in LCD-BLU.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the penetration pattern of dentin adhesives according to the orientation of dentinal tubules with confocal laser scanning microscopy. Specimens having perpendicular. parallel and oblique surface to dentinal tubules were fabricated. The primer of dentin adhesives (ALL $BOND^{\circledR}{\;}2,{\;}CLEARFIL^{TM}$ SE BOND and PQ1) was mixed with fluorescent material. rhodamine B isothio-cyanate (Aldrich Cherm. CO., Milw., USA), It was applied to the specimens according to the instructions of manufactures. The specimens were covered with composite resin (Estelite, shade A2) and then cut to a thickness of 500$\mu\textrm{m}$ with low speed saw (Isomet^{TM}, Buehler. USA). The adhesive pattern of dentin adhesives were observed by fluorescence image using confocal laser scanning microscopy. The results were as follows. 1. For the groups with tubules perpendicular to bonded surface. funnel shape of resin tag was observed in all specimen. However. resin tags were more prominent in phosphoric acid etching system (ALL $BOND^{\circledR}$ 2 and PQ1) than self etching system ($CLEARFIL^{TM}$ SE BOND). 2. For the groups with tubules parallel to bonded surface. rhodamine-labeled primer penetrated into peritubular dentin parallel to the orientation of dentinal tubules. But rhodamine-labeled primer of PQ1 diffused more radially into surrounding intertubular dentin than other dentin adhesive systems. 3. For the groups with tubules oblique to bonded surface. resin tags appeared irregular and discontinuous. But they penetrated deeper into dentinal tubules than other groups.

Micro- and nanoscale texturing and control of surface energy have been considered for superhydrophobicity on polymer and silicon. However these surfaces have been reported to be difficult to meet the robustness and transparency requirements for further applications, from self cleaning windows to biochip technology. Here we provided a novel method to fabricate a nearly superhydrophobic soda-lime glass using two-step method. The first step involved wet etching process to fabricate micro-sale patterns on soda-lime glass. The second step involved application of $SiO_x$-incorporated DLC to generate high intrinsic contact angle on the surface using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. To investigate the effect of surface roughness, we used both positive and negative micro-scale patterns on soda-limeglass, which is relatively hard for surface texturing in comparison to quartz or Pyrex glasses due to the presence of impurities, but cheaper. For all samples we tested the static wetting angle and transparency before and after 100 cycles of wear test using woolen steel. The surface morphology is observed using optical and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results shows that negative patterns had a greater wear resistance while the hydrophobicity was best achieved using positive patterns having static contact angle up to 140 deg. with about 80% transparency. The overall experiment shows that positive patterns at etching time of 1 min shows the optimum transparency and hydrophobicity. The optimization of micro-scale pattern to achieve a robust, transparent, superhydrophobic soda-lime glass will be further investigated in the future works.
