  • Google Android, which is one of the popular smart phone platforms, employs a security model based on application permissions. This model intends to reduce security threats by protecting inappropriate accesses to system resources from applications, but this model has a few problems. First, permission requested by an application cannot be granted selectively. Second, once the permission has been granted it is maintained until the application is uninstalled. Third, applications may acquire powerful permissions through user ID sharing without any notice to users. In order to overcome these limitations, we designed and implemented a flexible application permission management scheme. The goal of our scheme is to enhance security and user convenience while keeping compatibility to original platform. We also verified the operation of our scheme with real applications on Android emulator.

  • This paper describes an implementation of a security SoC (System-on-Chip) prototype that interfaces a microprocessor with a block cipher crypto-core. The Cortex-M0 was used as a microprocessor, and a crypto-core implemented by integrating ARIA and AES into a single hardware was used as an intellectual property (IP). The integrated ARIA-AES crypto-core supports five modes of operation including ECB, CBC, CFB, CTR and OFB, and two master key sizes of 128-bit and 256-bit. The integrated ARIA-AES crypto-core was interfaced to work with the AHB-light bus protocol of Cortex-M0, and the crypto-core IP was expected to operate at clock frequencies up to 50 MHz. The security SoC prototype was verified by BFM simulation, and then hardware-software co-verification was carried out with FPGA implementation.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of the cognitive process related to the organizational citizenship behavior. The research method consisted of the cross-design of the prospect dimension and goal orientation dimension, and information security factors consisted of distributive justice, response efficacy, self efficacy, and organizational citizenship behavior. As a result of the study, the dimension of prospect had a significant effect on response efficacy and self efficacy, and it was found that the influence of the gain condition was greater than that of the loss condition. The goal orientation dimension had a significant effect on response efficacy and self efficacy, and it was found that the influence of the growth condition was greater than that of the validation condition. The research model that explained the relationship between information security factors appeared as a partial mediating model between distributive justice, response efficacy, and organizational citizenship behavior. The implications of this study suggest that it is necessary to establish an information security strategy in combination with individual decision-making factors and organizational culture factors.

  • The proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and applications, especially the rapid rise in the use of mobile devices, from individuals to organizations, has led to the fundamental role of secure wireless networks in all aspects of services that presented with many opportunities and challenges. To ensure the CIA (confidentiality, integrity and accessibility) security model of the networks security and high efficiency of performance results in various resource-constrained applications and environments of the IoT platform, DDO-(data-driven operation) based constructions have been introduced as a primitive design that meet the demand of high speed encryption systems. Among of them, the TMN-family ciphers which were proposed by Tuan P.M., Do Thi B., etc., in 2016, are entirely suitable approaches for various communication applications of wireless mobile networks (WMNs) and advanced wireless sensor networks (WSNs) with high flexibility, applicability and mobility shown in two different algorithm selections, TMN64 and TMN128. The two ciphers provide strong security against known cryptanalysis, such as linear attacks and differential attacks. In this study, we demonstrate new probability results on the security of the two TMN construction versions - TMN64 and TMN128, by proposing efficient related-key recovery attacks. The high probability characteristics (DCs) are constructed under the related-key differential properties on a full number of function rounds of TMN64 and TMN128, as 10-rounds and 12-rounds, respectively. Hence, the amplified boomerang attacks can be applied to break these two ciphers with appropriate complexity of data and time consumptions. The work is expected to be extended and improved with the latest BCT technique for better cryptanalytic results in further research.

  • In this paper we study the use of polyinstantiation for spatial data, for the purpose of solving cover in topology channel in multilevel secure spatial database systems. Spatial database system with topological structure has a number of spatial analysis function using spatial data and neighbored one\`s each other. But. it has problems that information flow is occurred by topological relationship in spatial database systems. Geographic Information System(CIS) must be needed mandatory access control because there ,are many information flow through positioning information And topological relationship between spatial objects. Moreover, most GIS applications also graphe user interface(GUI). In addressing these problems, we design the MLS/SRDM(Multi Level Security/Spatial Relational Data Model) and propose polyinstantiation for spatial data for solving information flow that occurred by toplogical relationship of spatial data.

  • Proxy signature scheme based on delegation of warrant is studied in these days. Proxy signature is a signature scheme that the original signer delegates his signing warrant to the proxy signer, and the proxy signer creates a signature on behalf of the original signer. For using this scheme, the security for Protecting from the forgeability or misuse is necessary. There are several security requirements for using the proxy signature schemes. In this paper we suggest the proxy-register protocol scheme that original signer registers to the verifier about the proxy related information. In our scheme, verifier verifies the signature that original signer creates about the proxy information and sets the warrant of proxy signer, validity period for proxy signature and some limitation. Finally, we will show the advantages of our suggestion by comparing with the previous proxy signature schemes.

  • Securing wireless Ad hoc network including the secure mechanism design and implementation is generally more difficult for vulnerability of channels and nodes, the absence of infrastructure, topology that change dynamically, and etc, than ire network. The efforts of early researches are based on the adaptation of securing methods for the wire network to wireless ad hoc network. However, wireless ad hoc network could not get effective study finding because network has essential problems. This paper proposes that some new problems are being came to light over the survivability and availability of the network itself, that are caused by the massive packet attack of more than one or two nodes, and proves the consequence of this phenomenon. Also, we propose an effective prevention mechanism of masquerade attacks for survivability reinforcement that escape standard of the early way by survivability of wireless Ad hoc network and approaches for performance elevation and reflect special quality of wireless Ad hoc network.
