  • With the advancement and deployment of wireless communication techniques, wireless body area network (WBAN) has emerged as a promising approach for e-healthcare that collects the data of vital body parameters and movements for sensing and communicating wearable or implantable healthful related information. In order to avoid any possible rancorous attacks and resource abuse, employing lightweight ciphers is most effective to implement encryption, decryption, message authentication and digital signature for security of WBAN. As a typical lightweight cryptosystem with an extended sponge function framework, the PHOTON family is flexible to provide security for the RFID and other highly-constrained devices. In this paper, we propose a differential fault analysis to break three flavors of the PHOTON family successfully. The mathematical analysis and simulating experimental results show that 33, 69 and 86 random faults in average are required to recover each message input for PHOTON-80/20/16, PHOTON-160/36/36 and PHOTON-224/32/32, respectively. It is the first result of breaking PHOTON with the differential fault analysis. It provides a new reference for the security analysis of the same structure of the lightweight hash functions in the WBAN.

  • Purpose: This study suggests how to upgrade performance certification technology. Current performance certification of aviation security equipment and the requirements thereof were analyzed. Methods: The performance certification of aviation security equipment worldwide and identified issues with the domestic certification system were compared. The government must upgrade certification in terms of technical standards, the assessment methodology used, and the operating system. Results: Three principal conclusions were drawn. First, certification requirements must be based on a review of the technical literature and real-world experience. Second, development priorities must be set by reference to assessment techniques. Third, both research on the certification system and improvements thereof are essential. Conclusion: Certification of aviation security equipment performance requires gradual upgrading.

  • Recently, The cloud computing technology is emerging as an important issue in the world, and In technology and services, has attracted much attention. Cloud services have evolved from simple forms to complex forms(using multiple mobile devices and communication services(Kakao talk, Facebook, etc.). In particular, as the cloud is especially facilitated the collection of user information, it can now be analyzed with the user's taste and preference. And many of the benefits of the cloud became increasingly closely with our lives. However, the positive aspects of cloud computing unlike the includes several vulnerabilities. For this reason, the Hacking techniques according to the evolution of a variety of attacks and damages is expected. Therefore, this paper will be analyzed through case studies of attack and vulnerability to the privacy threats factors of the cloud computing services. and In the future, this is expected to be utilized as a basis for the Privacy security and Response.

  • The files in computer storages can be deleted due to unexpected failures or accidents. Some malicious users often delete data by himself for anti-forensics. If deleted files are associated with crimes or important documents in business, they should be recovered and the recovery tool is necessary. The recovery methods and tools for some filesystems such as NTFS, FAT, and EXT have been developed actively. However, there has not been any researches for recovering deleted files in XFS filesystem applied to NAS or CCTV. In addition, since the current related tools are based on the traditional signature detection methods, they have low recovery rates. Therefore, this paper suggests the recovery methods for deleted files based on metadata and signature detection in XFS filesystem, and verifies the results by conducting experiment in real environment.

  • Data mining is a technique to get the useful information that can be utilized for marketing and pattern analysis by processing the data that we have. However, when we use this technique, data provider's personal data can be leaked by accident. To protect these data from leakage, there were several techniques have been studied to preserve privacy. Vertically partitioned data is a state called that the data is separately provided to various number of user. On these vertically partitioned data, there was some methods developed to distinguishing kth element and (k+1) th element by using score. However, in previous method, we can only use on two-party case, so in this paper, we propose the extended technique by using paillier cryptosystem which can use on multi-party case.

  • In this paper, we assume that the information leakage through side-channel signal may occur from the card payment terminal and newly introduce a real application attack model. The attack model is a side channel attack based on vibration signals, which are detected by a small sensor attached on card terminal by attacker. This study is similar to some other studies regarding side channel attack. However, this paper is different in that it is based on the non-language model. Because the financial transaction information such as a card number, password, mobile phone number and etc cannot have a constant pattern. In addition, there was no study about card terminal. Therefore, this new study is meaningful. We collected vibration signals on card terminal with a small wireless sensor and analyzed signal data with statistical signal processing techniques using spectrum of frequency domain and principal component analysis and pattern recognition algorithms. Finally, we evaluated the performances by using real data from the sensor.

  • We propose a correction security framework as next generation security technology to provide secure and reliable Internet services. The framework guarantees durability of the services in spite of external attack, intrusion, vulnerability for fault tolerance, and network management technology that covers the set of techniques aimed at providing rapid service recovery. The improvement technology includes system itself improvement and synamic improvement preventing faults from being re-activated, in cooperation with other systems such as vulnerability anaysis system, NMS, ESM. It is expected that our framework will be applied to global networks as well as system alone, and be able to guarantee the network survivability and reliable Internet services.

  • Enterprises use different accounting programs to process vast amounts of accounting data. Due to the characteristic of the accounting program, in addition to the accounting data used by the accounting program, there is a variety of information to help detect accounting fraud. Existing forensic accounting techniques have limited scope of analysis because they analyze only accounting data like accounting ledger without using such information. When you do accounting fraud detection, information obtained from characteristics of accounting program can be used to obtain various information that can not be obtained by accounting data analysis alone. In this paper, we try to contribute to effective accounting fraud investigation by suggesting a technique to effectively detect accounting fraud by using other data obtained from characteristics of accounting program used in Windows system.

  • The growth in smartphone service has given rise to an increase in frequency and importance of authentication. Existing smartphone authentication mechanisms such as passwords, pattern lock and fingerprint recognition require a high level of awareness and authenticate users temporarily with a point-of-entry techniques. To overcome these disadvantages, there have been active researches in behavior-based authentication. However, previous studies focused on enhancing the accuracy of the authentication. Since authentication is directly used by people, it is necessary to reflect actual users' perception. This paper proposes user perception on behavior-based authentication with feature analysis. We conduct user survey to empirically understand user perception regarding behavioral authentication with selected authentication features. Then, we analyze acceptance of the behavioral authentication to provide continuous authentication with minimal awareness while using the device.

  • Fuzzing is one of the software testing techniques that find security flaws by inputting invalid values or arbitrary values into the program and various methods have been suggested to increase the efficiency of such fuzzing. In this paper, focusing on the existence of field with high relevance to coverage and software crash, we propose a new method for intensively fuzzing corresponding field part while performing field based fuzzing. In this case, we use a deep learning model called Variational Autoencoder(VAE) to learn the statistical characteristic of input values measured in high coverage and it showed that the coverage of the regenerated files are uniformly higher than that of simple variation. It also showed that new crash could be found by learning the statistical characteristic of the files in which the crash occurred and applying the dropout during the regeneration. Experimental results showed that the coverage is about 10% higher than the files in the queue of the AFL fuzzing tool and in the Hwpviewer binary, we found two new crashes using two crashes that found at the initial fuzzing phase.
