  • High-utility itemset mining (HIUM) has emerged as a key data-mining paradigm for object-of-interest identification and recommendation systems that serve as frequent itemset identification tools, product or service recommendation systems, etc. Recently, it has gained widespread attention owing to its increasing role in business intelligence, top-N recommendation, and other enterprise solutions. Despite the increasing significance and the inability to provide swift and more accurate predictions, most at-hand solutions, including frequent itemset mining, HUIM, and high average- and fast high-utility itemset mining, are limited to coping with real-time enterprise demands. Moreover, complex computations and high memory exhaustion limit their scalability as enterprise solutions. To address these limitations, this study proposes a model to extract high-utility frequent closed itemsets based on an improved cumulative summary list structure (CSLFC-HUIM) to reduce an optimal set of candidate items in the search space. Moreover, it employs the lift score as the minimum threshold, called the cumulative utility threshold, to prune the search space optimal set of itemsets in a nested-list structure that improves computational time, costs, and memory exhaustion. Simulations over different datasets revealed that the proposed CSLFC-HUIM model outperforms other existing methods, such as closed- and frequent closed-HUIM variants, in terms of execution time and memory consumption, making it suitable for different mined items and allied intelligence of business goals.

  • Fusobacterium nucleatum is a gram-negative bacteria associated with diverse infections like appendicitis and colorectal cancer. It mainly attacks the epithelial cells in the oral cavity and throat of the infected individual. It has a single circular genome of 2.7 Mb. Many proteins in F. nucleatum genome are listed as "Uncharacterized." Annotation of these proteins is crucial for obtaining new facts about the pathogen and deciphering the gene regulation, functions, and pathways along with discovery of novel target proteins. In the light of new genomic information, an armoury of bioinformatic tools were used for predicting the physicochemical parameters, domain and motif search, pattern search, and localization of the uncharacterized proteins. The programs such as receiver operating characteristics determine the efficacy of the databases that have been employed for prediction of different parameters at 83.6%. Functions were successfully assigned to 46 uncharacterized proteins which included enzymes, transporter proteins, membrane proteins, binding proteins, etc. Apart from the function prediction, the proteins were also subjected to string analysis to reveal the interacting partners. The annotated proteins were also put through homology-based structure prediction and modeling using Swiss PDB and Phyre2 servers. Two probable virulent factors were also identified which could be investigated further for potential drug-related studies. The assigning of functions to uncharacterized proteins has shown that some of these proteins are important for cell survival inside the host and can act as effective drug targets.

  • In this paper proposes bat tracking in baseball broadcasting using CAMshift and Kalman filter. The bat is changing fast during the swing, the shape also continues to rotate. For this reason, to apply the CAMshift to self adjust the size of the search window in order to use the color information to the invariant of the bat. Because it uses the color information if there are objects of similar color to the background because of the interruption on the track narrows the search range in range of motion detection by using the MHI(Motion History Image). By applying a Kalman filter, limit changing on the size of the search window, and it can be obtained higher track accuracy. But, this proposed method was limited color change by light.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of laser therapy for diabetic ulcer by using methods of systematic review. Methods : In this review, PubMed, Cochrane library, Web of Science, CNKI, CiNii, J-STAGE, NDSL and OASIS were used as the search engines. The search period is from the start date of the search engine to October 3, 2016. Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) using laser therapy for diabetic ulcer were searched and extracted by two independent researchers. Risk of bias(RoB) of Cochrane was used to assess methodological quality of studies. Results : Finally, five RCTs were selected. The follow-up period ranged from 15 days to 20 weeks. InGaAlP laser, GaAlAs laser and light emitting diode(LED) were used to treat diabetic ulcer. The clinical trials used sham laser irradiation or standard treatment as control in comparison to laser therapy. The endpoints included ulcer size, rate of healing and time to healing with follow-up period. The RCTs demonstrated therapeutic outcomes with no adverse effect. Most items of RoB were unclear and methodological quality was low. Conclusions : Our analysis suggests that laser therapy has therapeutic effects for diabetic ulcer. However, more systematic and stringent clinical trials will be required.

  • In this study, a questionnaire was developed to assess error search and correction tasks, and an analysis was performed on the accuracy of the tasks and the time required for their completion in order to identify the effects of LED light source illumination on visual performance according to changes in a predicted mean vote(PMV) thermal environment. In addition, a subjective evaluation was performed by conducting a survey on the level of visual fatigue experienced during the tasks. In the experiment, four types of PMV thermal environments were established according to PMV values in the temperature range of $(17{\pm}1-29{\pm}1)^{\circ}C$ and the humidity range of $(50{\pm}5-60{\pm}5)%$, and the LED light source illumination was divided into three types: 400lx, 700lx, and 1000lx. The experimental results confirmed that the accuracy of the error search(LED p value=0.058, PMV*LED p value=0.083) and correction tasks and the time required(LED p value=0.004, PMV p value=0.000) for their completion were affected by changes in both the PMV thermal environment and the LED light source illumination, whereas a significant difference in visual fatigue was observed only in the PMV thermal environment(p value=0.003).

  • We report a search for fluctuations of the sky brightness toward the North Ecliptic Pole with AKARI, at 2.4, 3.2, and $4.1{\mu}m$. The stacked images with a diameter of 10 arcminutes of the AKARI-Monitor Field show a spatial structure on the scale of a few hundred arcseconds. A power spectrum analysis shows that there is a significant excess fluctuation at angular scales larger than 100 arcseconds that cannot be explained by zodiacal light, diffuse Galactic light, shot noise of faint galaxies, or clustering of low-redshift galaxies. These findings indicate that the detected fluctuation could be attributed to the first stars of the universe, i.e., Population III stars.

  • AGN are known for irregular variability on all time scales, down to intra-day variability with relative variations of a few percent within minutes to hours. In the shortest time scale of AGN activity, unexplored territory still exists: first, the existence of a shortest time scale of AGN activity and secondly the shape of high frequency end of AGN power spectrum. Also the spectral variations at the shortest timescale. Here, we present the preliminary results of AGN fast photometry performed with Korean VLBI Network(KVN). Observations were done in a 'anti-correlated' mode using two antennas, with always either one antenna pointing at the target. This results in an effective time resolution of 3 minutes. We used all four KVN frequencies, 22, 43, 86, and 129 GHz, in order to trace spectral variability. We have been able to derive high-quality light curves for 3C111 and 3C279 at 22 and 86 GHz observed on 31st of May and 30th of Nov. in 2012. We are currently performing detailed statistical analysis in order to assess the levels of variability or the corresponding upper limits.

  • This study is to search for recycling method of the WCP(waste concrete powder). From the experiment analysis on the chemical composition, we confirmed that $SiO_2$ was occupied about 60% of WCP. To investigate the applicability of WCP as replacement material of Quartz, we tested the properties of autoclaved light weight concrete containing WCP. As a results, when increasing the replacement of WCP, compressive strength decreased and pore diameter did not change. On the other hand, when increasing curing times, compressive strength and pore diameter increased.

  • Image and video dehazing is a popular topic in the field of computer vision and digital image processing. A fast, optimized dehazing algorithm was recently proposed that enhances contrast and reduces flickering artifacts in a dehazed video sequence by minimizing a cost function that makes transmission values spatially and temporally coherent. However, its fixed-size block partitioning leads to block effects. The temporal cost function also suffers from the temporal non-coherence of newly appearing objects in a scene. Further, the weak edges in a hazy image are not addressed. Hence, a video dehazing algorithm based on well designed spectral clustering is proposed. To avoid block artifacts, the spectral clustering is customized to segment static scenes to ensure the same target has the same transmission value. Assuming that edge images dehazed with optimized transmission values have richer detail than before restoration, an edge intensity function is added to the spatial consistency cost model. Atmospheric light is estimated using a modified quadtree search. Different temporal transmission models are established for newly appearing objects, static backgrounds, and moving objects. The experimental results demonstrate that the new method provides higher dehazing quality and lower time complexity than the previous technique.
