  • A scientific analysis of ancient textiles provides significant data to understand weaving techniques and culture of textiles in each region and charateristics of materials used at that time. In addition, species identification of waterlogged wooden objects is a scientific analysis method that allow us to verify information of relation of foreign species trade and exchange, of preferable species through kinds of wooden products, and of forest environment as well as method setting of conservation. As a result of a species analysis about historical textiles and a wooden comb in a bronze bowl that were excavated from Hapgang-ri, Dong-Myun, Yungi-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Textile1 and Textile3 are identified as Urticacese Boehmeri nivea ; ramie, Textie2 is identified as Malvaceae Gossypium herbaceum, and a wooden comb is identified as Betulaceae Betula spp. It is expected that this result will help to make further comparative studies, identifying species of textiles and trees of ancient times.

  • This study explored the scientific web spaces of Korea and Japan by applying webmetric and social network analysis techniques with the aim of ascertaining international scholarly communication characteristics between the two countries. In general, more links were generated from the Korean scientific web sites to the Japanese sites than those from the opposite direction, thus implying a higher usage of Japanese scientific information on the web in Korean sites. In addition, university sites in the two countries were highly linked on the web revealing the most active institutions in scholarly communication were the universities. Based on the link analysis, the study also indicated which country was more dependent on the other in scholarly communication in specific scientific fields.

  • Machine learning as a service, the so-called MLaaS, has recently attracted much attention in almost all industries and research groups. The main reason for this is that you do not need network servers, storage, or even data scientists, except for the data itself, to build a productive service model. However, machine learning is often very difficult for most developers, especially in traditional science due to the lack of well-structured big data for scientific data. For experiment or application researchers, the results of an experiment are rarely shared with other researchers, so creating big data in specific research areas is also a big challenge. In this paper, we introduce the KISTI-ML platform, a community-based rapid AI model development for scientific data. It is a place where machine learning beginners use their own data to automatically generate code by providing a user-friendly online development environment. Users can share datasets and their Jupyter interactive notebooks among authorized community members, including know-how such as data preprocessing to extract features, hidden network design, and other engineering techniques.

  • Students can successfully connect with one another thanks to the introduction of Web 2.0 and the tools and technology linked with it. The fact that rising digital tools are systematically influencing the education system is not a secret. The purpose of the research article efficiently evaluates the influence of incorporation of media in the activities of the scientific library of the higher education institution. The research Methodology is the Concepts, techniques, and procedures to effectively inculcate primary and secondary data to conduct the research effortlessly. It's worth noting that in this case, quantitative primary research was provided in the form of a survey. The researchers have proposed a survey in order to successfully instil a comprehensive view on the "incorporation of media in the operations of the scientific library of higher education institutions." As a result, fifty-one higher education institution principals were asked to attend this session. This is necessary to understand that they are both well-educated and cognizant of the impact of technology innovation on schooling. As a result, the researchers were able to gain a comprehensive view of this situation thanks to this survey. The results effectively showed that most of the participants believe that social media plays a vital role in shaping up higher education and at the same time they believe that the libraries of famous educational institutions must adapt as per the new educational trend so that teachers and students both can tap into its benefit. The practical significance of the result is manoeuvred by the efficient survey analysis and at the same time, peer-reviewed journals have been employed to put forward authentic information. Therefore, efficient insight regarding this topic has been gathered by the researchers.

  • Visualization techniques are transformed into reliable representations through socio-technological processes which include the agreement on the instrument and the embodiment of practices in relevant scientific communities. Visual representations thus produced are justified by realistic and epistemic virtues in science. This paper analyzes different visual images presented in the scientific papers of two research groups who argue different theories about the mechanism of face perception. These two scientific groups use the same fMRI technology; yet, different experimental paradigms and visual stimuli change their hypotheses into distinct testable theories, which in turn lead to different evidences to support their own theories. Visual evidences are intermediate representations which lie between fMRI brain images and scientific theories, and theoretical models obtain the scientific value based on the consistency in the chain of visual representations. This study shows that representations in science tend to be good representations within the context of scientific communities. It will provide a chance to think of the value and limit of the scientific knowledge

  • The design of a deep foundation by means of whatever a scientific method has to take into account the influence of the installation of the piles on the soil parameters to be implemented in the shaft and base capacity. Especially when discussing screw piles, the details of the pile installation technique are of outmost importance. New developments in screw pile techniques, over the last decade, show this type of deep foundations to be probably one of the most promissing for the future.

  • Main purpose of this paper is to describe what is radwastes and spent fuel of radioisotope and nuclear power plants. Although this term is well adapted among the people nowadays but it is necessary to know more clear definition in accordance with atomic energy promotion law. By various means of scientific knowledge and engineering techniques, we can shield harmful radiation from radwastes and spent fuel, also could know how we can take benefits from radioisotope applications for human health care and other applications. It is realized that problem of spent fuel is not easy task to solve at the moment because we have to consider many sides.

  • We will discuss two-dimmensional spectrophotometry including long-slit spectroscopy and narrow-band imaging. The basic principles, applications, and techniques of observations and data reduction of spectroscopy and spectrophotometry for extended objects are described. This discussion will focus on practical long-slit spectroscopy using a Cassegrain spectrograph attached with 2 or 4m class telescopes and on imaging spectrophotometry using narrow-band interference filter sets. We will discuss scientific applications.

  • Horse armour from Dohang-ri site had been retained its original form and all iron metal fragments of armour were very completely corroded without remaining metal core. Horse armour excavated is archaeologically very important, Also it should be maintained the original form. So, only moderate treatments such as brushing and consolidation techniques were performed. The processes for the conservation is as follows : 1) preliminary investigation, 2)removal of chlorides and corrosion products, 3) consolidation with 40% ParaloidNAD-10, 4) joining and restoration
