대전지역 일부 고등학생들의 스트레스 수준 및 관련 요인 (Psychosocial Distress and its Related Factors among High School Students in Daejeon City)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to determine the levels of psychosocial distress among high school students to reveal the various related factors. Methods: Self-administered questionnaires were administered between June 1st and July 31th, 2006, to 992 different high school students in Daejeon City. The survey items included questions concerning the subjects' family and school life characteristics, health-related behaviors, sense of self-esteem, and locus of control. Results: The results showed that 27.8% of the subjects were categorized as high risk stress, 66.6% as latent stress, and 5.5% as normal. The level of psychosocial distress was found to be influenced by various related factors such as family and school life characteristics, health-related behaviors and personality traits (locus of control, self-esteem). Conclusion: The above results of the study suggest that the more stresses the high school students felt, the higher the correlation with self esteem and self control. Therefore, it is required that there be more development of programs designed towards harmonizing human relationships, promoting regular life styles and positive self perceptions; as well as building self confidence and assisting in course selection. Also, there is a need for further research and education in accessing effective strategies for coping with stress.

청소년의 식행동과 심리적 요인이 피곤 자각도에 미치는 영향 (Contribution of Food Behavior an Psychological Factor to Perceived Tiredness in Adolescens)

  • The relationship among food behavior, psychological factor(life strees) and perceive tiredness was investigated in 514 adolescents. Tiredness was measured in four cases: in lessons, before school, in the early evening and at weekends. Adolescents felt most tired in lessons and before school, and leat at weekends. Irregularity of meal times and skipping breakfast were positively correlated with tiredness in lessons and befor school. Consumption of some foods was related to perceived tiredness. High sugar or fat containing ice-cream, hamburger of fizzy drinks in boys, and crisps and cookies in girls were positively associated with tiredness. Whereas beans and mushrooms were negatively associated with tiredness in girls. Life stress(by scholastic problem and personal problem) of adolescents was positively related to tiredness. The contribution of stress to tiredness was much greater than of food behavior according to multiple linear regression .There was no relationship between nutrients intake and tiredness in lessons and before school which were more strongly influenced by stress, whereas the relationship was found at weekend without influences of stress. The more tired, the lower NARs(nutrient adequacy ratio) of energy, phosphorus, vitamin A, vitamin B$_2$, and niacin were. In conclusion, some eating behavior and psychological factor can cause tiredness in adolescents, but tiredness in school and before school had more of a psychological cause than at weekend. 중.고등학교 운동선수들의 자살생각에 영향을 주는 관련요인 (Factors affecting suicidal ideation of athletes in middle and high school)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze factors affecting suicidal ideation of athletes in middle and high school. Methods: The data in this study came from the survey which conducted to 500 students of physical education high school athletes and elite athletes in general school from the beginning of December 2009 to the end of January 2010 in Seoul and Kyunggi. Finally 436 cases was used. The dependant variable is suicidal ideation in this study. And the independent variables are socio-demographic factors, exercise-related factors, school and family environments, stress and depression factor. The analysis method is logistic regression analysis. Finally 436 cases was used. Results: First, the rate of suicidal ideation of athletes in middle and high school was 28.9%. Second, there were significant differences between stress and sex, grades, athletic career, kind of sport, sport skill level, the average exercise time per day, family circumstances, life satisfaction, future expectations. Third, there were significant differences between depression and sex, academic achievements, the average exercise time per day, family circumstances, life satisfaction, future expectations. Fourth, there were significant differences between suicidal ideation and sport skill level, academic achievements, the average exercise time per day, family circumstances, life satisfaction, future expectations. Fifth, the higher level of stress and degree of depression, the more increased the risk of suicidal ideation. Conclusions: Considering the close relationship between suicidal ideation and suicidal attempt, to reduce the suicidal ideation of athletes in middle and high school it is necessary to adjust exercising time properly and to promote life satisfaction. Also to overcome depression and stress support system should be established and to promote self-efficacy cognition strength program should be introduced in the school. So athletes in middle and high school should have confidence and self-confidence on the future.

고온배관 T-부의 응력해석 및 잔여수명평가 (Stress Analysis and Residual Life Assessment of T-piece of High Temperature Pipe)

  • For assessing residual lift of the steam pipe in fossil power plants, inspections and analysis are usually focused on the critical locations such as butt welds, elbows, Y-piece and T-piece of the steam pipes. In predicting the residual life of T-piece, determination of local stress near welds considering system load as well as internal pressure is not a simple problem. In this study, stress analysis of a T-piece pipe was conducted using a three-dimensional model which represents the T-piece of a domestic fossil power station. Elastic and elastic-creep analysis showed the maximum stress level and its location. Residual creep rupture life was also calculated using the stress analysis results. It was argued that the calculated life is reasonably same as the measured one. The stress analysis results also support life prediction methodology based on in-field replication technique.

COVID-19의 유행으로 인한 스트레스가 대학생의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향: 가족건강성의 조절효과 (The Effect of Stress Caused by the Spread of COVID-19 on the Quality of Life in University Students: The Moderating Effect of Family Health)

  • Objectives: As COVID-19 drags on, university students experience more stress and feel more anxious about their studies and career plans. Against the backdrop, this study aims to analyze the moderating effect of family health on the relationship between the spread of COVID-19 and the quality of life in university students. Methods: In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the results of an online survey performed with 216 university students in cities K and D were analyzed using frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and moderating effect analysis. Results: It was found that COVID-19 stress had a significant negative effect on the quality of life in university students, while family health showed a significant positive effect. In addition, the moderating effect of family health was statistically significant on the relationship between COVID-19 stress and the quality of life in university students. Conclusions: This study found that family health plays an essential role as a safety net in reducing stress and improve the quality of life in university students amid the social crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, it is required to develop various programs for communication with parents, including parent-child communication techniques.

코로나19 상황에서 초·중·고 학생의 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 : 학교생활, 가정생활, 일상적 스트레스를 중심으로 (An Analysis of Factors Affecting the Life Satisfaction of School Students in Covid-19 : Focusing on School, Home, Daily Stress)

  • 이 연구는 코로나19 상황에서 초·중·고 학생의 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 G광역시 전체 초등학생 5-6학년, 중학생 1-3학년, 고등학생 1-2학년을 전수조사하였다. 초·중·고학생 총 13,672명이 조사에 참여하였고, 이 중 13,613부를 최종 자료 분석에 사용하였다. 초·중·고 학생의 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 위계적 회귀분석한 결과 학교생활 요인은 22.2%, 가정생활 요인을 추가하면 4.7%, 일상적 스트레스 요인을 추가하면 10.7%의 설명력이 증가하였다. 코로나19 상황에서 초·중·고 학생의 삶의 만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 가정생활 만족도였고, 그다음으로는 초등학생은 외모 스트레스, 중·고등학생은 학업 스트레스였다. 이는 코로나19로 인해 비대면 수업이 늘어나 학생들이 가정에서 보내는 시간이 많아지면서 학생들의 삶의 만족도에 가정생활 요인이 더 크게 영향을 미친 것으로 볼 수 있다. 그럼에도 중·고등학생은 여전히 학업 스트레스가 삶의 만족도에 큰 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이를 통해 코로나19에 대응하며 학생들이 가정에서 관계, 소통, 학업, 여가 등을 보다 원활히 할 수 있도록 지원해야 하며, 특히 가정환경에 따라 비대면 수업으로 인한 학력 격차가 심화되지 않도록 다각도의 교육정책이 수반되어야 할 것이다.

장애아동 어머니가 지각하는 스트레스 및 대처행동과 생활만족도 (The Stress, Coping, and Life Satisfaction Perceived by Mothers with Disabled Children)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the types of the stress and coping behaviors perceived by mothers of children with disabilities, and to investigate factors affecting their life satisfaction. For this study, we surveyed 239 mothers living in the city. The results are as follows: First, we can categorize the stress into parental stress, economic stress, child developmental stress, physical stress, and emotional stress. Second, we can classify the coping behaviors into active efforts, avoidance, and emotional diversion. Lastly, life satisfaction of mothers of children with disabilities tends to depend on such factors as emotional stress, husband's support, parental stress, emotional diversion coping, economic stress, school- children, and their education.

대전지역 중학생의 여가활동유형과 생활스트레스 및 학습몰입에 관한 연구 (A Study on Leisure Type, Daily Life Stress, and Studying Immersion of Middle School Students in DaeJeon)

  • 본 연구는 청소년의 학업성취도와 밀접한 관련을 맺고 있는 학습몰입에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 여가활동유형과 생활스트레스와의 관련성을 분석하여 청소년의 학습몰입을 제고할 수 있는 구체적인 대안을 모색하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 SPSS 통계프로그램을 사용하여 빈도와 백분율, 일원변량분석, 상관관계분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 청소년들이 교육체험지향과 가정지향 여가활동에 따라 생활스트레스에서 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 교육체험지향과 가정지향 여가활동을 많이 하는 집단의 생활스트레스 수준이 낮았다. 둘째, 청소년들이 교육체험지향과 취미지향 여가활동에 따라 학습몰입에서 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 교육체험지향과 취미지향 여가활동을 많이 하는 집단의 학습몰입도가 높았다. 셋째, 청소년들의 여가활동유형과 생활스트레스는 학습몰입과 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 청소년의 학습몰입에 영향을 미치는 변인은 생활스트레스 중 학업과 가족문제였고, 여가활동유형 중에서는 교육체험지향활동으로 나타났다.

Quercetin Ameliorates NO Production via Down-regulation of iNOS Expression, $NF{\kappa}B$ Activation and Oxidative Stress in LPS-Stimulated Macrophages

  • Effect of quercetin on NO production and regulation mode of quercetin on oxidative stress, $NF{\kappa}B$ activation, and iNOS expression, possible mechanisms of NO suppression in LPS-stimulated macrophages were investigated. Treatment of RAW 264.7 cells with quercetin significantly reduced lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated nitric oxide (NO) production dose-dependently ($IC_{50}$, $9.2\;{\mu}M$). Expression of iNOS and specific DNA binding activities of nuclear factor kB ($NF{\kappa}B$) were significantly suppressed by quercetin pretreatment. Quercetin reduced thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS) accumulation, enhancing GSH level and antioxidant activities of enzymes, such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase. These results demonstrate quercetin may ameliorate inflammatory diseases by suppressing NO production through inhibition of iNOS expression, $NF{\kappa}B$ transactivation, and oxidative stress, which may be mediated partially by antioxidative effect of quercetin. Thus, quercetin appears to be used as a potential therapeutic agent for treating LPS-induced inflammatory processes.

초등학교 아동의 비만 스트레스와 식행동 및 식습관에 대한 연구 (Obesity Stress, Eating Behavior and Eating Habits of Elementary School Students)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the influence of obesity stress on the eating behavior of elementary school students. Using a questionnaire, 300 students in the sixth grade from 2 schools in Kyunggi-do were surveyed (Boys: N=145, Girls: N=155). Data analysis was managed by SPSS software (version 13.0). The link between obesity stress and eating habits or behaviors was dependent on physical discomfort. There was also a large group of students experienced irregularity in their meal times during the day. Furthermore, there were significant differences in mealtime among boys under psychic stress caused by obesity. In the case of dairy intake during breakfast, the significant signs of obesity stress for were physical discomfort for boys and psychic stress for the girls. It was found for both boys and girls that more frequent midnight snacking decreased the efforts to overcome obesity stress. Therefore, a professional nutrition program that can educate school children must be implemented both in school and at home. In addition to overweight or obesity children, normal weight and underweight children can also benefit from this program that includes health counseling for weight and eating behaviors.
