This study implement survey to the 201 university students. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, one-way ANOVA and pearson's correlation analysis were conducted for data analyses. The results are as follows. First, university students' major satisfaction with the amount of physical activity is statistically significantly higher than that of low-intensity physical activity groups (p<.05). Second, university life adaptation according to the amount of physical activity was found to be statistically significantly higher in high-intensity physical activity groups than in medium-intensity physical activity groups and low-intensity physical activity groups (p<.05). Lastly, according to the relationship between physical activity, major satisfaction, and university life adaptation of university students, male students have a static correlation between physical activity, major satisfaction (general satisfaction), and university life adaptation (personal emotion adaptation) and female students have a static correlation between physical activity and university life adaptation(social adaptation) (p<.05). Therefore, this study examined the impact of the characteristics of social networks and social support on the life satisfaction of individuals with mental illnesses. A survey was conducted with 180 patients from seven mental health treatment facilities in the Daegu area. The data were analyzed using MANOVA, hierarchical multiple regression analysis, and Sobel test for mediation analysis with SPSS 25 software. The key findings of the study revealed that the intimacy aspect of social networks had a positive and significant effect on social support and life satisfaction. On the other hand, the size of the social network showed a negative influence on social support. Furthermore, social support partially mediated the relationship between the intimacy of social networks and life satisfaction, and it fully mediated the relationship between the size of social networks and life satisfaction. Based on these research outcomes, practical and policy-related recommendations are provided to enhance life satisfaction through increased social support for this population.

  • The relative extrinsic value orientation (REVO) means the relative importance to extrinsic values (e.g. wealth, fame and social approval) compared with intrinsic values (e.g. affiliation, self-acceptance and personal growth). This study aimed to investigate the causal relation between REVO and life-satisfaction using the auto-regressive cross-lagged modeling. For this purpose, 3rd, 5th, and 7th year data from the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) middle school 1st grade panel was analyzed (N = 2,259; 1,140 males and 1,119 females). The results are as follows; Firstly, positive auto-regressive effects of REVO and life-satisfaction were significant. Secondly, REVO was found to have negative and cross-lagged effect on life-satisfaction. However, cross-lagged effect from life-satisfaction to REVO was not significant. Finally, no gender difference was found in this relationship. These results suggest that low life satisfaction does not cause the relative extrinsic value orientation, but high relative extrinsic value orientation may cause low life satisfaction.
