Effects of Fashion Related Work Experience Program in Middle Schools: Focusing on Self-Efficacy of Decision Making Regarding Career, Fashion Related Career maturity (중학교 패션관련 직업체험교육 프로그램 효과에 관한 연구: 진로결정 자기효능감, 패션관련 진로의식성숙도를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the study was to explore effects of fashion related work experience program and its satisfaction in middle schools. The study analyzed differences in self-efficacy of career decision making and fashion related career maturity before and after the program. The questionnaire developed by the researchers was collected from 114 participants enrolled in middle schools in Seoul or Kyunggido. The data were analyzed by common factor analysis, and independent sample t-test, using SPSS 18.0/Windows. The results demonstrated significant higher scores in self efficacy of career decision making, and fashion related career maturity after the program than before. Also, they showed high program satisfaction scores. The results of the study could be basic information for work experience program developers for high and middle school students.

Evaluation of an Education Program for Public Health Service Workers in Public Hospitals: Learning Achievement and Satisfaction Levels (공공병원 공공보건의료사업 담당자를 위한 교육프로그램이 학습목표 성취도와 교육반응도에 미치는 효과)

  • Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the outcomes of an education program for public health service workers in public hospitals, utilizing the Kirkpatrick model. Methods: The study participants were 118 staff in 48 public hospitals. Of the stages in the Kirkpatrick model(reaction, learning, behavior, and result), reaction and learning stages were analyzed in this study. A 10-item self-evaluation questionnaire was used to measure satisfaction level for the reaction, and achievement of learning purposes for the learning. The education program consisted of general courses and special two tract courses(Tract A: chronic diseases, Tract B: health promotion). Results: The highest score for reaction was for Tract A(score=4.4), whilst the lowest score for reaction was for lecture(score=3.0). Learning achievement was significantly different between pre-education and post-education(p<0.01), except for health technicians. Conclusions: The results of this study could be utilized to develop effective systematic education programs for public health service workers in public hospitals.

Study of Startup Policy of Government Research Institute through Importance-Satisfaction Analysis of ETRI Pre-Startup Support Program (ETRI 예비창업지원 프로그램의 ISA 분석을 통한 출연연 기술창업 성과 제고 정책 연구)

  • According to attended about startup, there are many policy and program for activating of startup. Government's policy and program was scale up and arrangements for high quality. Nevertheless, policies and programs are concentrated on ante-startup stage. And experts have questioned that effect. So, there are needed a program focusing pre-startup and incubation stage. Accordingly, this study propose a kind of educative program named Pre-Startup Support Program. Through the program, pre-startup teams or entrepreneurs will inspect items, business skills and surroundings of market and competitors. And they have a time for complementation of deficiency. This study selects ETRI spin-off(research based spin-off born ETRI) by means of an object of study. ETRI's programs are started in 2011 with intent to incubate the entrepreneur through market research, mentoring, space of incubation and funds. This study analyze using the ISA(Important-Satisfaction Analyze) and the regression. We classify the pre-startup support program using the ISA. And then, we analyze the influence of satisfaction using the regression. On the basis of results, we identify the effectiveness of pre-startup support program and propose plans for reinforcement. In conclusion, adopting a pre-startup support program is expected to success of startup.

The Evaluation of a Health Promotion Program for the Community resident Older Adults (지역사회에 기반을 둔 노인 건강증진 프로그램에 대한 평가 연구)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the process & outcome of a Health promotion program(Growing Younger & More Active) for the community resident older adults from March to December, 2001. Method: A quasi experimental research(one group pretest-posttest design) was used in this study. The subjects were 82 older adults(but 40 older adults 4 weeks after the program). Program had 5 sessions(10 hours) once a week. Data were collected before the program, immediately after & 4 weeks after the program and were analyzed with paired t-test. Result: The levels of Satisfaction, Interest & Understanding of the Program were high. Significant differences were found in health knowledge, health promoting behaviors, perceived health status and life satisfaction between before program and immediately after program as well as between before program and 4 weeks after program, but no significant differences in Health attitude. Self efficacy has significant difference only between before program and immediately after program , but no significant differences between before program and 4 weeks after the program. Conclusion: This results suggest that a Health promotion program for the community resident older adults developed this study is effective. So this program can be recommended as an effective nursing intervention for the health promotion of the older adults living in community.

Satisfaction Level of Clinical Practice and Related Variables for Students in the Department of Radiology (방사선학과 학생의 임상실습 만족도와 관련 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate satisfacation level of clinical practice and related variables to develop more effective learning program for students in the department of radiology. We surveyed 138 students who participated in the clinical practice program and they were university or college students in the area of Busan and Kyungnam. As a result, the satisfaction level of professional guidance were the highest and the satisfaction level of practice evaluation were the lowest. In the college students, the satisfaction level of the professional guidance were the highest and the satisfaction level of practice environment were the lowest. In the university students, the satisfaction level of the practice duration were the highest and the satisfaction level of practice evaluation were the lowest. The results of multiple regression analysis between the satisfaction level and the related variables indicated that the status of radiologist in the clinical practice are the major component in the college students and the status of radiologist in the academic duration and the clinical experience are the major component that contribute the satisfaction level in the university students.

  • This study was carried out to analyze the working conditions and Job Satisfaction of foreigner agricultural trainees. Foreigner training program is governmental project to decrease the shortage of labor resources in farm household and increase of income for trainees, to transfer the agricultural technology to sending country. For this purpose, data were gathered from 110 foreigner agricultural trainees consisted of 91 Uzbekistanian and 19 Mongolian by interview with questionnaire. The results are as follows: 1) the trainee answered to increase the income and technical training regardless of nationality, age, wedding, and types of agriculture. 2) the trainee felt crucial difficulties in language usage and homesick during the training program, 3) Training program should be concretized in working schedule.

A Correlation Study on the Relationship between Motivation for Achievement and Satisfaction on Clinical Practice in EMT students (응급구조과 학생의 성취동기와 임상실습 만족도와의 상관성 연구)

  • Purpose : This study examines satisfaction of students at the department of Emergency Medical Technology with clinical practice and relationship between motivation of achievement and satisfaction with clinical practice and aims to provide basic materials contributing to the improvement of clinical practice education. Method : It selected 237 students in the second and third grade at the dept. of Emergency Medical and having experience in clinical practice as the subjects, collected data from Sept. 1 to 30, 2007 and analyzed 237 questionnaires collected with SPSS 12.0 program. Result : 1. Degree of motivation of achievement scored 3.46 of full marks of five points and they showed motivation of achievement over average score. Students who entered the dept. of Emergency medical after beginning social career(3.78) showed higher motivation of achievement in the period of entrance and group having will to be volunteer(3.66) showed the highest motivation of achievement in selecting this major. The better personal relationship they have, the greater hospital grade and the higher their transcript, the higher motivation of achievement they have. In the desired area of employment after graduation, first-aid staffs at the field of industry group(3.85) showed the highest motivation of achievement. 2. Degree of their satisfaction with clinical practice scored 3.53 of full marks of five and they showed satisfaction with it over average score. They showed the highest satisfaction in the contents of practice(3.64). 3. There was statistically significant positive correlation between motivation of achievement and satisfaction with clinical practice(r = .165, p < .05). Conclusion : There was statistically significant positive correlation between motivation of achievement and satisfaction with clinical practice. Repeated research through sampling based on probability to generalize relevance of motivation of achievement and satisfaction with clinical practice is needed and further researches on developing program to inspire motivation of achievement in theoretical learning as well as in clinical practice are required.

A Study on the Effects of NCS-based Beverage Certificate Education Satisfaction on Major Satisfaction and Employment Preparation Behavior (NCS기반 음료자격증교육만족도가 전공만족도 및 취업준비행동에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the effects of NCS-based beverage certificate education satisfaction on major satisfaction and job preparation behavior and to suggest an improvement plan. Questionnaire survey was made from May 1, 2018 to June 30, 2018 for the students who specialize in department of hotel tourism at colleges in the metropolitan area, and 271 copies of the total 300 questionnaires were used for analysis. The results of this study showed that hypotheses in this study were analyzed as having a significant positive effect and the results were found to have important effects especially on items such as 'curriculum', 'professor in charge', 'efficacy of certificate', 'type of certificate', 'satisfaction of professor', and 'major professor'. Thus, when operating the beverage certificate education program in the course of department of hotel tourism, the education program must be operated to increase the satisfaction of students by giving priority to the above items. In addition, beverage certificate has significant influence on job preparation and major satisfaction and therefore, it should be used as a strategy of student guidance to help improve the satisfaction of the department and the employment rate.

Mediating Effect of Social Support in the Influence of Interpersonal Sensitivity on College Life Satisfaction (대인예민성이 대학생활만족도에 미치는 영향에서 사회적지지의 매개효과)

  • This study was conducted to find a method of improving social support in college students by analyzing the effects of interpersonal sensitivity and social support on college life satisfaction. To achieve the purpose of the study, questionnaires were distributed to 475 students in six colleges located in Busan Metropolitan City and the collected data were used for analysis. Then, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted using the SPSS statistic program. The major study findings are as follows. First, interpersonal sensitivity negatively influenced social support. Second, interpersonal sensitivity negatively influenced college life satisfaction. Third, social support positively influenced college life satisfaction. Fourth, social support had a mediating effect in the influence of interpersonal sensitivity on college life satisfaction. These study findings demonstrate that there is a need to develop a psychological counseling program for reducing interpersonal sensitivity of college students and improving social support and expand an interpersonal relationship and family relationship improvement program.

Effect of a Mentoring Program as a Strategy for Retention of Clinical Nurses (임상간호사 유지 전략으로서 멘토링 프로그램의 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of a mentoring program as a strategy for the retention of clinical nurses. Method: Research subjects were 20 mentors, 20 mentees and 22 clinical nurses for a control group of mentees. A mentoring program was developed by an expert committee and applied to the experimental group for six months. Data were collected at three and six months after the application of the program from September, 2008 to March, 2009. Data were analyzed using x^-test, t-test, Repeated Measures ANOVA, One-way ANOVA in SPSS/Win 15.0 Program. Results: Job satisfaction, organizational commitment, empowerment, and carrier commitment in the mentees of the experimental group were significantly higher than the nurses of the control group. Intention of resignation in mentees of the experimental group were significantly lower than the nurses of the control group. Also, there were significant interaction between the groups and the times of measurements in all variables. Conclusion: The mentoring program showed positive impact on the variables for maintenance of clinical nurses. Recommendation: Based on these findings, retention strategies using mentoring programs were recommended to reduce clinical nurses' resignation and improve the competency of clinical nurses that leads to the productivity of nursing organizations.
