The purposes of this study were to identify the students’ perception and to evaluate the satisfaction with the quality of school foodservice in Chungbuk Province. A questionnaire survey of 900 students was conducted and 370 completed questionnaires were available for the purpose of the statistical evaluation. Statistical analyses were performed on the data utilizing the SAS V8.2 program. Importance, performance and satisfaction scale were composed of 5-Likert scales. The main results of this study were summarized as follows: The degree of importance and performance on twenty three attributes and the degree of satisfaction with four dimensions and overall satisfaction were measured according to type of school, location of school, place for eating, type of foodservice system and type of foodservice operation. The importance score was significantly higher than the performance score at all quality attributes except for the food appearance. The performance score of ‘waiting time’ and ‘atmosphere’ was less than 3 point out of 5 scale. The average satisfaction score for the quality dimensions of food, sanitation and service was 3.35, 3.19 and 3.10 point out of 5 scale, respectively. The satisfaction score for dimension of environment was 2.93 point out of 5 scale. The score for overall satisfaction was 3.27 point out of 5 scale. The satisfaction score for elementary school foodservice management was significantly higher than middle and high school foodservices. The satisfaction score for commissary foodservice operations was significantly higher than conventional foodservice operations. Using survey results as a base, the dieticians of school foodservice are required to meet the needs of the students and increase students’ satisfaction.
Purpose: This study was to investigate the satisfaction for voluntary activity and the meaning of life in hospice volunteers. Method: Data were obtained by self-reported questionnaire from 102 volunteers and were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation. Result: The mean score of the satisfaction for hospice volunteer activity was $2.48{\pm}0.38$. Of the domains of the satisfaction, the experience domain had the highest mean score $(2.93{\pm}0.53)$, and the social exchange domain had the lowest mean score $(1.65{\pm}0.63)$. The mean score of the meaning of life was $3.20{\pm}0.33$. The score of satisfaction was significantly different by economic status, and volunteering time per week. The score of meaning of life was statically different by financial status. There was a positive correlation between satisfaction for voluntary activity and the meaning of life. Conclusion: Satisfaction for hospice volunteer activity was significantly related to their meaning of life. In order to increase the satisfaction of volunteers, it is important to consider their financial aspect and the volunteering time.

Level of satisfaction according to the two variables (clinical instructor interpersonal relationship) revealed significant difference. (p<.01, p<.05), Hypothesis 5,6 are accepted. 3. Level of satisfaction of contents (mean score=3.02) revealed to be high.. 4. Level of satisfaction on guidance (mean Score=2.37), environment (mean score=2.59), hours (mean score=2.72) and evaluation (mean score=2.50) revealed to be low. 5. Level of satisfaction revealed to be low. (total mean satisfaction score =2.64).

In this paper, we propose basic materials for effective education of essential basic nursing skills and empirical base supporting the strengthening of essential basic nursing skills. An investigation was conducted with nursing college students ready for an employment on the relationship between the students' knowledge level of essential basic nursing skills and their satisfaction level against the clinical practice. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, scheffē test and Pearson's correlation coefficients. in SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The findings of this study were as follows. 1) The knowledge level of essential basic nursing skills received a score of 88.95. 'Admission management' item received the highest score of 4.96 point on a 5 point scale while 'Retention urinary catheterization' item received the lowest score of 3.06. The higher the difficulty level of essential basic nursing skills was, the lower the knowledge level of it was. 2) The satisfaction against the clinical practice received a score of 3.28. In the clinical practice area, the satisfaction against the curriculum received a score of 3.84, the satisfaction against clinical practice contents a score of 3.39, the satisfaction against clinical practice environment a score of 3.17, the satisfaction against clinical practice time a score of 3.15. There was a significant correlation between the knowledge level of essential basic nursing skills and clinical practice satisfaction. These findings indicate that a systematic education of essential basic nursing skills could improve nursing students' satisfaction against the clinical practice.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relations among emotional intelligence, interpersonal relationship, and job satisfaction among clinical nurses. Methods: Data were collected from 315 nurses who had worked for more than 6 months at five general hospitals by a self-reported questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Pearson's correlation, and hierarchial regression using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The mean score of emotional intelligence was 3.42 and the score of self emotional appraisal was the highest. The mean score of interpersonal relationship was 3.44 and the score of intimacy was the highest. The mean score of job satisfaction was 3.04. Emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationship were positively correlated with the job satisfaction. Hierarchial multiple regression analysis showed that use of emotion was the main factor of affecting job satisfaction, which explained 30.8% of the variance for the nurses' job satisfaction together with intimacy, regulation of emotion, position, and monthly salary. Conclusion: These findings indicated that emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationship, especially use and control of emotion and intimacy contributed to nurses' job satisfaction. It is necessary to develop and implement the program for increasing emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationship for improving job satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relational between elderly women's sex-role attitude and their marital satisfaction. For this purpose, a questionnaire was surveyed 186 elderly women living in Kwangiu and Chonnam. The collected data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA and stepwise regression analysis. The results of this research were as follows ; First The total points of the elderly women's sex-role attitude score was 16.4, which was represented mixed trends of traditional and modem. And the total points of the elderly women's marital satisfaction score was 31.6, which was higher than the median 30. Second, Elderly women's sex-role attitude score was meaningfully different according to education level, health state, economic state. And elderly women's marital satisfaction score was meaningfully different according to social activity, economic state, health state, education level, age. Third, As the results of regression analysis, it was shown that the highest influencing variable on their marital satisfaction was the social activity, economic state, education level. Purpose : The objective of this research is to explore the correlation between personality and degree of job-satisfaction among nursing profession in order to provide effective guide for HR management and nursing care. Method : The research has been conducted on hundred sixty four nurses working in C university hospital in Seoul, from February 23 to March 7 of 2002, through survey. For the experimental tools, I have used Young-Hwan Kim's MMPI(1988) personality test and Slavitt's job-satisfaction test(1978) which were improved by Eun-Seuk Lee(1988). The acquired data are analyzed through SPSS program using descriptive statistical method, t-test, One way ANOVA and Pearson Correlation coefficient analysis. Results : Most survey score were within normal range of personality measurement and Masculinity-Femininity scored high compare with the rest. Overall job-satisfaction score showed fairly high level of 3.01; in the order of high score, 3.43 for reciprocal action, 3.41 for job requirement, 3.20 for autonomy, 3.15 for professional status, 2.96 for doctor-nurse relationship, 2.54 for administration and 2.38 for compensation. Analysis based of social demographics showed that the degree of paranoia depends on the age, marriage, nursing experience, education, professional status and salary. Also, marriage had significant influence on the score of hysteria, psychopathic deviation, paranoia, psychasthenia, schizophrenia and masculinity-femininity. Test score showed that, based on the general characteristic of nursing profession, job-satisfaction depends on the age and professional status. The relationship between personality and job-satisfaction showed that depression score and social introversion score have statistically significant negative correlation with job-satisfaction. Conclusion : this research revealed that depression and social introversion are characteristics identified to have significant influence over job-satisfaction of nurses, among many characteristics.
The purposed of the study was to assess customer satisfaction concerning foodservice quality characteristics by using developed DINESERV model for university employee foodservices. Specially, it was intended to develop the tool which assesses the differences between customer importance and perceptions of customer with actual foodservice delivery by university employee foodservices. Questionnaires were distributed to 300 un9iversity employees. Total 230 university employees responded with a usable response rate of 67.7%. Statistical data analysis was completed using SAS programs for descriptive analysis and t-test. The results of the study are as follows: 1) Employees´first choice was distance when they select foodserveices. They answered their preference as the first factor when they order menu in the foodservices. The first complain factor concerning university foodservices was the taste of food. 2) Customers did not satisfied with the foodservice quality of university employee foodservices. Importance mean score of service quality was 3.81 out of 5 but percption mean score of service quality was 3.10. Importance mean score of food quality was 4.11 out of 5 but perception mean score of food quality was 2.96. 3) Customers´satisfaction of service quality by dimensions were as following order: assurance > reliability > responsiveness > empathy > tangibles. And customers´satisfaction of food quality by dimensions were as following order: nutrition > food > price > sanitation. There were no significant difference about customer satisfaction between contracted management and self-operated.

Purpose: This study was done for the purpose of identifying the relationship between work stress and job satisfaction of nurses who were evaluating medical insurance. Method: The participants in the study were 154 nurses who were in charge of evaluating medical insurance in 32 hospitals in Korea. Data were collected for 1 month from April 20 to May 20, 2001. Result: The mean total work stress score was 93.79. In comparison with work stress scores according to the work stress factors, 'work overload'(2.95) had the highest work stress score. The mean total job satisfaction score was 69.56. The total work stress scores did not show significant differences for any of the variables. The total job satisfaction score showed significant differences for the variables of age (F=3.51, p=.01), position (F=3.16, p=.02) and reason for transfer from one department to another (F=3.40, p=.003). Conclusion: The total work stress score showed a inverse correlation(v=-.36, p=.001) with the total job satisfaction score.
The purpose of this study was to investigate dietary intake and to evaluate patient satisfaction toward the quality of hospital foodservice. Questionnaires were distributed to 203 hospitalized patients in 3 hospitals having 300 beds. The intake rates for served amounts of rice, side dishes, and soup were 72.5%, 68.2%, and 62.6%, respectively. The main reasons for left-overs were 'no appetite' (25.8%) and 'not salty enough' (19.9%). The rate of patients eating outside food was about 33.5%. The average score for quality satisfaction of meal characteristics was 3.34 ${\pm}$ 0.61, and the average score for quality satisfaction of sanitation and service characteristics was 3.58 ${\pm}$ 0.61. 'Seasoning' showed the lowest score and 'temperature' showed the highest score for quality satisfaction of meal characteristics. In the quality satisfaction of sanitation and services, 'explanation of meals' showed the lowest score and 'exactness of meal times' showed the highest score. The patients hospitalized for 10 days showed significantly lower average scores than those hospitalized over 60 days for quality satisfaction of meal characteristics. The patients with 'little appetite' and 'regular appetite' showed significantly lower average scores than those with 'much appetite' for the quality satisfaction of meal, sanitation, and service characteristics. The patients who 'rarely had leftovers' showed significantly higher average scores than those who 'always had leftovers' and 'often had leftovers' for quality satisfaction of meal characteristics. Meal characteristic scores were significantly correlated with age (r = 0.216), length of admission (r = 0.310), appetite (r = 0.251), leftovers (r = 0.233), and intake of soup (r = 0.205). Also, sanitation and service characteristics scores were significantly correlated with age (r = 0.327), education (r = -0.202), length of admission (r = 0.168), and appetite (r = 0.155). Thus, it would seem to be desirable that hospital foodservices improve the taste and seasoning of meals and provide appropriate nutrition education and counseling in mid-sized hospitals.
