  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate dysmenorrhea in undergraduate students and its affecting factors. Method: The survey was conducted with 453 students at 4 nursing school in Seoul, Incheon, Chungcheongbuk and Jeollabuk Province. Data were collected from September to December 2013, and analyzed with SPSS Windows 21.0. Results: In a final model of hierarchial multiple regression, menarcheal age (${\beta}$=-0.13, p=.003), menstrual amount (${\beta}$=0.17, p=.001), stress (${\beta}$=0.18, p=.010) habit of sitting by crossing one's legs (${\beta}$=0.14, p=.003) were associated with dysmenorrhea in undergraduate students. These factors attributed to 12.0% of variance in the dysmenorrhea of undergraduate students. Conclusion: These results suggest that dysmenorrhea in undergraduate student could be influenced by habit of sitting by crossing one's legs as well as menstrual history and stress. Ultimately, intervention program including correct of cross-legged sitting postures can be effective for undergraduate students to alleviate dysmenorrhea.

  • This study was conducted to construct and test structural equation modeling of the causal relationship of job satisfaction of nursing staff with satisfaction, revisit intention and recommendation of the hospital by patients. The data utilized in this study were the second data acquired from the 2012 Public Hospital Evaluation Programme. The subjects of this study were 2,375 nursing staff and 3,433 patients at 39 district public hospitals. The instrument of job satisfaction of nursing staff consisted of five factors and 13 items. The instruments of satisfaction, revisit intention, and recommendation to others of patients consisted of one question on an 11 point scale (0: very negative, 10: very positive). The data were analyzed using SPSS version 20.0 and AMOS version 20.0. Model fit indices for the hypothetical model were suitable for the recommended level: model of in-patient ${\chi}^2$ 904.598 (df=81, p<0.001), GFI 0.938, AGFI 0.900, RMSR 0.076, mode of out-patient ${\chi}^2$ 869.021(df=81, p<0.001), GFI 0.940, AGFI 0.900, RMSR 0.074. In conclusion, nursing staff are the largest group in public hospitals, and they provide direct care to patients. Therefore, job satisfaction of nursing staff should be enhanced to improve satisfaction of patients because their attitude significantly influences patient satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate among smoking knowledge, smoking attitude, and smoking cessation intention and factors which influence in college student smokers. The subjects of this study were completed by 240 college student smokers from 2 colleges in D City. Data were collected from October 1 to Nomember 15, 2018. Data were analyzed using the t-test, the ANOVA, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis by SPSS ver. 21.0. The participants' knowledge was 0.51 out of 1 points, attitude was 3.63 out of 5 point and smoking cessation intention level was 2.71 out of 5 points. There were significant positive correlations among knowledge, attitude and smoking cessation intention. Factors influencing smoking cessation intention were smoking attitude(β=0.20, p=0.002), smoking amount(β=0.19, p=0.002), age of starting smoking habit (β=0.20, p=0.004), try to quit smoking(β=0.16, p=0.012)). Smoking cessation intention 17.7% of the variance in smoking attitude, smoking amount, age of starting smoking habit and try to quit smoking. The development of smoking cessation education program that focuses attitude change is needed. Maybe, well-designed program will enhance their knowledge, attitude and smoking cessation intention.

We verify the correlation between shared leadership and job crafting and the mediating effect of learning goal orientation and knowledge sharing in the relationship between these two variables. Hypotheses were established on the basis of precedent research and various theories including social cognitive theory and affective events theory. The data were collected by conducting online surveys of 318 office workers who have served in various domestic organizations. The reliability and validity of the collected data were verified by SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0, and the hypotheses were analyzed by SPSS process macro 3.0. The study found that shared leadership yields positive effects on the learning goal orientation, knowledge sharing and job crafting of participants respectively and that learning goal orientation and knowledge sharing have a mediating effect in the relationship between shared leadership and job crafting. The results of this study present the effectiveness of shared leadership to facilitate the job crafting and implications and future research measures for the organization to develop a system for activating shared leadership, and for strengthening learning goals orientation and knowledge sharing.

In this regard, this study is to verify the effect of managerial coaching behavior on the creativity of employees in the IT field and identify the mediating effect of unlearning and the moderating effect of creative self-efficacy. A survey was conducted on IT workers in Seoul and the metropolitan area and a total of 439 copies of the questionnaire survey were used for confirmatory factor analysis on SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0 and for mediating and moderating effect analysis on SPSS Process Macro 3.0. The results suggested that managerial coaching behavior has a positive effect on the creativity and unlearning ability of employees. They also showed that unlearning has a significant effect on one's creativity, mediating the relationship between managerial coaching behavior and the creativity of employees. Also, they identified that creative self-efficacy moderates the relationship between managerial coaching behavior and unlearning. This study has theoretical and practical significance in that it makes a timely contribution to expand the research area for coaching effect and identifies the influential mechanism behind managerial coaching by verifying the direct effects of managerial coaching behavior on the creativity of the IT sector workers and finding indirect influential factors.

  • Under the needs to study the predictors of the frontline employees' service-oriented organizational citizenship behaviors(OCBs) in the hotel industry, this study aimed to the influence of goal orientations on the OCBs. The two factors of performance goal and learning goal orientations were hypothesized to influence each dimension of OCBs(loyalty, service delivery, and participation). The data from 266 five star deluxe hotel employees were analyzed with descriptive statistics, multi-variate analysis of variance, and structural equation modeling conducted using SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 20.0. The results showed learning goal orientation positively influenced all dimensions of the OCBs while performance goal orientation positively influenced all dimensions except loyalty. These results suggest that hotel practitioners need to seek the applicants who are willingly oriented to specific goals at recruiting process. Furthermore, hotel organizations need to utilize the employees' goal approach to motivate their performances.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of optimism, academic resilience, and major satisfaction of nursing students, and identify influencing factors of major satisfaction. The study was a cross-sectional descriptive correlational design. A convenience sample of 286 nursing students was conducted from a university in Busan. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierachical multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS version 23.0. The average score of optimism, academic resilience and major satisfaction in nursing students were 3.85±0.54, 3.87±0.52 and 3.75±0.63 respectively. The degree of major satisfaction was positively correlated with optimism and academic resilience. The significant predictors of major satisfaction were optimism(β=.385, p<.001) and academic resilience(β=.356, p<.001), explaining 49.2% of the independent variables. Accordingly, in order to increase the major satisfaction level of nursing college students, it is necessary to develop a program that can improve optimism and academic resilience, and apply it in the nursing curriculum.
