The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the child care support and job satisfaction of married women employed outside home. The data for this study were collected from a survey of 350 married women employed outside home who were residing in North Cholla Province. Major fimding are summarized in the following. First, many married women were pressured by the burdens child rearing(54.5%) and houshold chores(39.6%). Second, the daycare arrangements for children under age seven were diverse. Just under half of the children were cared for by the employed mother'parents(25.1%), or by the mother's parents-in law(21.1%). The rest were sent to daycare center(40.6%), cared for by a hired helper(7.6%), or sent to an industrial on- site daycare center(1.0%). Third, about half of the married employed mothers(47.5%) wished for an on-site daycare service at their workplace. Fourth, the variables that affected employed mothers job satisfaction were age, job, husband's job type, the income of the mother, the reason of the mother's employment, the degree of husband's houshold labor participation, and the type of social and employer's support for chid care.
In the system necessary for safety such as the train control system, to make train control information be sent correctly is very important to enable organic movement between trains. In the case of the system such as RF-CBTC (Radio Frequency Communication Based Train Control) the control related information is sent through wireless transmission between on-board system of a train and wayside transmitter. The wayside transmitter collects the running information such as location, velocity from the on-board system and operates the optimizing control by sending the control information such as the target, limited velocity to the on-board system. But, when the communication disconnect or train failure, the critical hazard such as train collision or derailment may be possible because the RF-CBTC depends on the information through wireless communication. This paper discribes of performing Fall-Back system to detect train position in the case of rail break or communication failure to avoid train accident and allows train to be operated safely. It can be implemented with ATP function through track circuits using active-type transformers and axle counters, and allows train to be operated manually in emergency status.
This paper proposes a common platform for an internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal. The common platform can reduce the cost and time to develop an internet-based robot and its operator terminal. The robot performs the role of a server and its terminal a client. One operator can use this terminal to make a command and this command can be sent to the robot through a wireless network. According to given commands, the robot moves a point and sends an image by using a camera or desired information by using other sensors. The information sent from the robot can help an operator to control the robot. The mobile robot consists of two modules, main module and motion module. Main module can exchange information with the operator terminal, process information, and send a command to motion module. Each application program for one internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal will be developed to show that the same platform can be used for them. Also, it will be shown that the robot can be controlled easily by using its operator terminal.

In this paper, we present a case study of vibration suppression based on the application of active damping to the small boring process of a boring bar with diameter below ${\Phi}12$. The proposed active damping system consists of an acceleration sensor for real-time monitoring of the vibration signal, a driver for phase control in a computer program, and piezoelectric actuators for damping. In this system, the vibration signals are detected by the acceleration sensor and sent to the computer as an input. The phase shift parameter of the natural frequency of the input signal is sent to the data acquisition board in the computer and calculated by the phase control program. This study confirmed the effectiveness of this damping system, and it opens up the possibility of the development of active damping systems for small boring processes.
We consider three different secure broadcasting scenarios: i) Broadcast channels with common and confidential messages (BCC), ii) multi-receiver wiretap channels with public and confidential messages, and iii) compound wiretap channels. The BCC is a broadcast channel with two users, where in addition to the common message sent to both users, a private message, which needs to be kept hidden as much as possible from the other user, is sent to each user. In this model, each user treats the other user as an eavesdropper. The multi-receiver wiretap channel is a broadcast channel with two legitimate users and an external eavesdropper, where the transmitter sends a pair of public and confidential messages to each legitimate user. Although there is no secrecy concern about the public messages, the confidential messages need to be kept perfectly secret from the eavesdropper. The compound wiretap channel is a compound broadcast channel with a group of legitimate users and a group of eavesdroppers. In this model, the transmitter sends a common confidential message to the legitimate users, and this confidential message needs to be kept perfectly secret from all eavesdroppers. In this paper, we provide a survey of the existing information-theoretic results for these three forms of secure broadcasting problems, with a closer look at the Gaussian multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel models. We also present the existing results for the more general discrete memoryless channel models, as they are often the first step in obtaining the capacity results for the corresponding Gaussian MIMO channel models.

In this paper. we present a new method for monitoring of ECU's self diagnostic signals of vehicle without wire. In order to measure the ECU's self diagnostic signals, the interfaced circuit is designed to communicate ECU and designed terminal according to the IOS, SAE regulation of communication protocol standard. Micro-processor 80C196KC is used for communicating ECU's self diagnositc signals and the results are sent to the wireless terminal and PC monitoring system. Wireless terminal is also developed by 80C196KC, LCD, RF module, and keypad. The command from the keypad is sent to ECU through RF module and the result show on the Graphic LCD in real time. Software on PC is developed to monitor the ECU's self diagnostic signals using the Visual C++ complier in which RS232 port is programmed by half duplex method. The algorithms for measuring the ECU's self diagnostic signals are verified to monitor both ECU and portable terminal state. At the same time, the information to fix the vehicle's problem can be shown on the developed software. The possibility for remote measurement of ECU self diagnostic signal is verified through the developed systems and algorithms.
Purpose: Based on the results of a survey on college freshmen's smoking this study examined the application of smoking cessation programs. Methods: The opinions of 89 smokers who were college freshmen were investigated and analyzed using a survey questionnaire. Results: Among the survey respondents, the largest percentage (47.2%) replied 'little satisfied' to the question on the with campus life. Of the participants, 57.3% considered that their health state was bad because of smoking. As to motives for smoking, 'curiosity' was most frequent. Smokers had more smoking friends than nonsmoking ones. The 82% of the smokers had experience in stopping smoking. Among smoking cessation methods, the self overcoming was most frequent(50.6%). During the survey, 28 smokers applied for the cessation program and they favored e-mails for information. E-mails were sent to them once in a week for 6 weeks and short messages were sent to their cell phone in order to encourage them to read the e-mails. Conclusions: To encourage and maintain smoking cessation, it is recommended to have a personalized or small group program. More researches are needed to execute the program and evaluate results. Colleges need to have an innovative approach on smoking prevention and cessation services.
This Study is on the Punggongyubodoryake. Punggongyubodoryak was the records and pictures written by Ohgyeongmun(吳景文, Painter) and Gangbonpungeon(岡本豊彦, a Japanese painter, 1773~1745). in 1832. Those records and pictures were about the gifts which Korea's King(宣祖, 1567-1608) sent to Doyotomi Hideyosi(豊臣秀吉, Pungsinsugil) in 1590. Most of the gifts were of the Korean costume, which meant that Korea recognized Doyotomi Hideyosi as the new general of Japan, Tokugawa Shogunate(幕府將軍). The pictures of every Clothing in punggongyubodoryake described forms of every cloth and delineated ornamental patterns and sizes of clothing as closely as actual, they were clothes of the Middle period of Chosun. the author of the study inferred that it would be one of the impotent materials in the history of the Korean traditional costume. Among the clothes, there were several danryeongs(단령, ceremonial coat), okgwan (玉冠 woman headdress with) and paeok(佩玉, pendents with jade stings) and choongdan(中單 ceremonial undercoat) and Sang(裳, ceremonial Skirts for man), gyeontongsuseulran (肩通袖膝襕, chinese coat) was recorded in punggongyubodoryake. they were not a set of clothes for ceremonial costume but a mixture of men's and women's costume, of korean and abroad styles. the author inferred that this phenomenon was actually a good proof that the gifts were sent to Hideyosi only as courtesy, which meant for downgrading the receiver.

In order to repair sewage pipes, it is necessary to dig up the damaged sewage pipes, which results in traffic jams. Since digging up the pipes takes too much time and cost, this method is inefficient. So, in stead of digging up the damaged pipes, a robot is sent down to the pipe to do the repair works. For big pipes, human workers go into the pipe and do to repair works, but for small pipes, it is impossible for human worker to go inside the pipe. In this case, mobile robots have used. The procedures for repairing pipes are as follows : First, the condition of the sewage pipes is observed by a robot. Second, appropriate steps for repair are determined according to the types of the damage. While repairing procedures, a newly-developed packer is sent into the sport to be repaired inside the pipe. Then, the packer is filled with air by a V-shaped wrinkel pipe. This makes the packer inflates uniformly and adhere closely to the inside wall of the pipe in large area. This increases the area that can be repaired. Therefore, the newly-developed packer will be very helpful for sewage pipe repair works.
The purpose of this study was to improve menu management of welfare institutions for mental-disorders. Special objectives were: to analyze dietitians' special considerations for menu planning in the view of nutrition, recipients' food preferences, and foodservice management; and to interprete menus by food groups and food costs. An open-ended questionnaire was developed and sent to 55 dietitians of welfare institutions for mental-disorders by a fax. Dietitians were asked to write their special considerations for menu planning relating to the nutrition, recipients, and menu management. A total of 46 dietitians responded to the questionnaires. Also, 32 weekly menus were sent to analyze in this study. Results of this study showed that dietitians considered specially energy, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and fats for recipients's health conditions and daily RDA. However, dietitians wanted more information about right menu plan manuals for psychiatric patients. Analysis of weekly menus showed that milk and milk products were th most insufficient serving food group in these institutions. Also, snacks (p<0.05)and milk products (p<0.05) serving was significantly affected by higher food costs. The results implicated that future research on menu development should be necessary for nutritional balanced meal services in welfare institutions.
