Evaluation of GPS Data Applicability to Traffic Information Collection after SA Removal (SA해제 이후 GPS데이터의 교통정보수집 적용가능성 평가)

  • The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the applicability of GPS data for real-time traffic information collection especially after SA removal. Two major results have been reported. One is the GPS data availability and/or useful data point density for travel time estimation using Circle-X algorithm. 87.23% of data points can be mobilized after SA whereas only 29.94% of data was useful in calculating travel time. The other is the possible reduction of the buffer size that is used for screening the points of all GPS into useful and useless data, respectively. With these outcomes, it is safely expected that the regular GPS alone can provide the data points for real-time travel time estimation instead of the more expensive DGPS system.

  • Chosundoseohaeje, a book type catalog was published three times under the rule of Japanese imperialism. This catalog has several characteristics of modem catalog as fellows : First, each record of this catalog includes title, volume no., statements of responsibility, printing type, annotated bibliography containing date, author, background, structure, contents of the book, and biographies. Second, this catalog has a subject retrieval system by the four-part classification(Kyung, Sa, Ja, Jib), title retrieval system by Japanese alphabetical index, and authorㆍeditor retrieval system by their family name index or king's name index. Third, this catalog has a system indicating the location of described books by Gyujanggak book numbers.

  • 최근 SA(Selective Availability)의 해제에 따른 GPS의 활용이 증대되면서 차량운행에 있어서도 저가 GPS 수신기의 활용이 활발하게 이루어지고 있으며, 일반 차량 운행자를 위한 상용화가 급속도로 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 저가 GPS수신기를 통한 실시간 위치정보의 제공은 실질적으로 상당한 오차를 포함하고 있다. 이는 저가 수신기가 가지고 있는 문제라 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 저가 수신기와 정밀 측위용 이주파 수신기를 이용하여 측지분야에서 검증된 GPS측량방법을 통해 오차를 비교ㆍ분석하고 저가 수신기의 정확도 향상을 위한 방법을 제시하고자 하였다.

Application of the Differential GPS method for Navigation and Acquisition of the Geo-Spatial Information (지형공간정보의 획득과 항법을 위한 DGPS기법의 응용)

  • This study focuses on examination of the availability and effectiveness about application of the differential GPS methods for navigation and acquisition of the geo-spatial information. For this, the algorithms related to a navigation solution and differential GPS were implemented in MATLAB code, a number of software simulations on test model were carried out to assess its performance, comparing the results with those obtained from the commercial software. Expecially, the results coming from tracking test on test model of the OO's WADGPS which is the commercial real-time satellite-based augmentation system via geostationary satellite (GEOs), which has been investigated with those from the above GPS methods. And also, the accuracy of absolute positioning by Navigation solution and WADGPS before and after SA-off has been compared. The above results show that DGPS methods are very reliable and efficient methods for acquisition of the geo-spatial information.

  • Nowadays, Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) which is the new concept of positioning system has been developed because of satisfaction human's intelligent desire and rapid science development. GNSS which is represented by GPS provides 3-Dimension positioning information not expensively in whenever, wherever. The industry of positioning information has extending civil market widely as well as military market. So GNSS is running the role of society infra structure including car and airborne navigation, civil engineering, GIS resource, telematics and LBS, and so on. As USA removes the SA(Selective Availability), GPS has monopolizing the market and other countries have been depended on GPS, absolutely. In this paper, the author developed the software for analysis of influence using next generation, Galileo system. The local analysis was performed according to positioning mode. And GPS/Galileo combined system can implement positioning in the worst mask environment like urban cannon.

  • The ionospheric delay is the largest error source in GPS positioning after the SA effect has been turned off. The ionospheric error can be easily removed by using ionospheric-free combinations but it is only restricted for dual-frequency receivers. Therefore, in this study, the regional ionospheric grid model was developed for single-frequency receivers. The developed model was compared with GIM to validate its accuracy. As a result, it yielded RMSE of 3.8 TECU for 10 days. And L1 medium- and long-range relative positioning was performed to evaluate positioning accuracy improvements. The positioning accuracy was improved by 46.7% compared with that without any correction of ionosphere and troposphere and was improved by 14.5% compared with that only tropospheric correction.

A Comparison of Correction Models for the Prediction of Tropospheric Propagation Delay of GPS Signals (GPS 신호의 대류층 지연 예측을 위한 보정모델의 비교)

  • Since GPS's SA cancellation, the interest is converged in correction of errors such as atmospheric delay and multipath that weight had been small relatively, which can improve the accuracy of positioning through modelling research. The aim of this study have an extensive comparison of the various tropospheric delay models (Goad&Goodman, A&K, Hopfield and Sasstamoinen) and mapping functions(Niell, Chao, and Marini). Expecially, the tropospheric delay amounts by change of the GPS satellite elevations, and the delay by various combination between zenith delay models and mapping functions, compared and examined. For this, programmed the total delay models and the combined models which can be described as a product of the delay at the zenith and a mapping function. The result of study, especially, as the minimum elevation of included data is reduced under $10^{\circ}$, it was considered to be reasonable that the prediction of tropospheric delay considering combination and mapping character of functions about the transition of the zenith delay to a delay with arbitrary zenith angle.
