We establish a sufficient condition for a simple closed curve in the Euclidean plain $\mathbb{R}^2$, the unit sphere $S^2$ or the hyperbolic plane $H^2$ to be the boundary of a metric ball.

Divide knots and links, defined by A'Campo in the singularity theory of complex curves, is a method to present knots or links by real plane curves. The present paper is a sequel of the author's previous result that every knot in the major subfamilies of Berge's lens space surgery (i.e., knots yielding a lens space by Dehn surgery) is presented by an L-shaped curve as a divide knot. In the present paper, L-shaped curves are generalized and it is shown that every knot in the minor subfamilies, called sporadic examples of Berge's lens space surgery, is presented by a generalized L-shaped curve as a divide knot. A formula on the surgery coefficients and the presentation is also considered.

As our power system has changed the past undeveloped model causing the lacked supply of power to the civilized model that the remained one makes the voltage and the frequency rise at the middle of the night, the leading power factor operation of generators, that is, the under-exited operation is essentially to be needed, so, at a viewpoint of the stability of the power system, it is a very important factor. In this investigation. the equation of curves for each area on the capability curve has been studied at the above-mentioned viewpoint. Also, each capability curve for the operating power stations (Nuclear P/S, Thermal P/S, Hydrolic & pumping-up P/S Gas turbine P/S) has, been presented, and studied whether the leading power factor operational area is able to be expanded or not.

It is thought that the adsorption isotherms in dyeing of cellulose by the direct cotton dyes are consisted of combined type of Langmuir and Freundlich as the opinion of Fujino, et al;$[D]_F=ab[D]_S/(1+b[D]_S)+k[D]_S$where a,b,k; constants, $[D]_F$; dye adsorption on the fiber, $[D]_S$; dye concentration in the bath. This means that the dyes adsorbed in cellulose present in the state of partly mono molecular and partly aggregate; the characteristic fading order curve will be expressed as the combined system of uniform particle size distribution and assumed that the slope of the theoretical models of Baxter, et al., and assumed that the slope of curve will be changed near the point of a, the saturation value of Langmuir isotherms in the above equation. Firstly, the theoretical fading rate curve was treated with small colour difference as the one step of experimental of above consideration.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the trajectory of child's academic attainment and the effect of family socioeconomic background on the trajectory. Data were part of the Korea Youth Panel Survey 2003-2005(Middle School 2) and were analyzed by Latent Growth Curve Modeling(LGM). The degree of child's academic attainment decreased over 3 years. Socioeconomic status variables that influenced academic trajectory were family poverty, parent's attainments in scholarship, and family structure. Findings from this study suggest that societal support for low socioeconomic status families is needed for improvement of academic attainment of their children.
