  • The problem of finding Cramer rule for solutions of some restricted linear equation Ax = b has been widely discussed. Recently Wang and Qiao consider the following more general problem AXB = D, $R(X){\subset}T$, $N(X){\supset}\tilde{S}$. They present the solution of above general restricted matrix equation by using generalized inverses and give an explicit expression for the elements of the solution matrix for the matrix equation. In this paper we re-consider the restricted matrix equation and give an equivalent matrix equation to it. Through the equivalent matrix equation, we derive condensed Cramer rule for above restricted matrix equation. As an application, condensed determinantal expressions for $A_{T,S}^{(2)}$ A and $AA_{T,S}^{(2)}$ are established. Based on above results, we present a method for computing the solution of a kind of restricted matrix equation.

  • Hypocrellin A has gained much attention in recent years due to its light-induced antitumor, antifungal and antiviral activities. Here we report that hypocrellin A exerts immunomodulatory effects on MHC-restricted presentation of antigen. Hypocrellin A inhibited class II-MHC restricted presentation of exogenous antigen, but not class I MHC-restricted presentation of exogenous antigen, in dendritic cells. Hypocrellin A also inhibited the cytosolic pathway of endogenous antigen presentation. However, hypocrellin A did not inhibit the expression of class I and class II MHC molecules on dendritic cells (DCs), the phagocytic activity of DCs, or the $H-2K^b$-restricted presentation of a synthetic peptide, SIINFEKL. These results show that hypocrellin A differentially modulates the MHC-restricted antigen presentation pathways.

  • Objectives : This study was performed to investigate the health status and social support among elderly living alone with restricted daily functions using the data of the "2014 the Korean Elderly Survey". Methods : Data on 2,407 elderly living alone were drawn and statistically examined using a t-test, an ANOVA, and a multiple regression analysis. Results : The study found that first, the elderly living alone with restricted daily functions comprised 22.1% of the total elderly living alone, and those who were older elderly, illiterate, with low-income, having poor nutrition management, and with a poor health status. Second, among the elderly living alone with restricted daily functions, there was a group with very little support from the family and only 14.0% were covered by long-term care insurance. Third, the life satisfaction of the elderly with restricted functions was lower than that of the non-restricted elderly, and was affected by income, health conditions, depression, access to senior welfare centers, and communication with others. Conclusions : The elderly living alone with restricted daily functions have serious health risks and social support, and hence they should be provided with more proactive support for life, health care and social care to live independently within their communities.

  • This paper considers the problems of martingale measures and risk-minimizing hedging strategies in the market with restricted information. By constructing a general restricted information market model, the explicit relation of arbitrage and the minimal martingale measure between two different information markets are discussed. Also a link among all equivalent martingale measures under restricted information market is given. As an example of restricted information markets, this paper constitutes a jump-diffusion process model and presents a risk minimizing problem under different information. Through $It\hat{o}$ formula and projection results in Schweizer[13], the explicit optimal strategy for different market information are given.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the upstream waves in front of an advancing arbitrary hull shape in a restricted water channel. Conventionally, in a restricted water channel, shallow water effects are amplified because of the finite water depth and width. When the effects of shallow water and the restricted channel width are severe, upstream waves propagate forward from the fore-body of the advancing hull. In this study, numerical simulations are carried out for the relevant analysis of the flow phenomena by the draft variation of advancing hull in a restricted water channel. Numerical simulations are done with a finite-difference method based on the MAC scheme in a rectangular grid system.

  • Let A be a finite set of integers. For any integer $h{\geq}1$, let h-fold sumset hA be the set of all sums of h elements of A and let h-fold restricted sumset $h^{\wedge}A$ be the set of all sums of h distinct elements of A. In this paper, we give a survey of problems and results on sumsets and restricted sumsets of a finite integer set. In details, we give the best lower bound for the cardinality of restricted sumsets $2^{\wedge}A$ and $3^{\wedge}A$ and also discuss the cardinality of restricted sumset $h^{\wedge}A$.

  • Let 𝔽 be a commutative ring. A restricted skew polynomial extension over 𝔽 is a class of iterated skew polynomial 𝔽-algebras which include well-known quantized algebras such as the quantum algebra Uq(𝔰𝔩2), Weyl algebra, etc. Here we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition in order to be restricted skew polynomial extensions over 𝔽. We also introduce a restricted Poisson polynomial extension which is a class of iterated Poisson polynomial algebras and observe that a restricted Poisson polynomial extension appears as semiclassical limits of restricted skew polynomial extensions. Moreover, we obtain usual as well as unusual quantized algebras of the same Poisson algebra as applications.

  • To investigate the effects of feeding restricted on growth, carcass characteristics and plasma profiles in an attempt for optimum responses, a total of 108 cross-bred finishing barrows [(Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire)${\times}$Duroc]weighing an average of $46.88{\pm}0.52kg$ were assigned in a randomized complete block (RCB) design to one of four treatments with three replicates and nine pigs per pen. Feeding regimens were, 1) ad libitum from 50 kg to market weight (Ad 3/3), 2) restricted feeding from 90 kg to market weight (Ad 2/3), 3) restricted feeding from 70 kg to market weight (Ad 1/3), and 4) restricted feeding from 50 kg to market weight (Ad 0/3). During the experimental period, average daily feed intake (ADFI) was decreased from 2.53 kg (AD 3/3) to 2.09 kg (AD 0/3) with increasing restricted feeding duration of (p<0.05). Average daily gain (ADG) of AD 3/3 (0.79 kg) was significantly higher (p<0.05) than those of AD 1/3 (0.74 kg) or AD 0/3 (0.72 kg). Feed efficiency was not influenced by restriction regimens. Blood IGF-I concentrations were increased from 74.14 to 134.25 (167.36-115.66) ng/ml as body weight increased. Blood leptin concentrations were affected by feed intake level and coincided with blood IGF-I concentrations. Most of carcass characteristics were not significantly affected by restricted feeding, however cooking losses in AD 1/3 and Ad 0/3 treatment diet were higher than those in Ad 3/3 and Ad 2/3. In addition, there was a trend that backfat thickness was lowered in proportional to decreasing feed intake (p>0.05). In conclusion, restricted feeding improved feed efficiency after 50 kg body weight without deteriorating the pork quality of barrows.
