An Information System Analysis and Design Methodology Based on Object-Oriented IDEF0: A Case Study for the PDM System of ship Production (OOIDEF0 기반의 정보시스템 분석 및 설계 기법: 조선 PDM 시스템 적용사례)

  • Recently, object-oriented techniques have been used more and more for developments of an information system. But, established object-oriented methodologies are hard to express a business process of various abstract degrees in the analysis level and independent components of the system. They have difficulties in developing a large-scale information system of manufacturing industry such as PDM and CIM. This paper proposes an information system development methodology that imports the object-oriented IDEF0 (OOIDEF0) function model in analysis level. This methodology is made up of requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, and implementation. In requirements gathering level, organization diagram and interview technique are used for input data of OOIDEF0 function model. The OOIDEF0 function model, the interface model and function descriptions are made out in analysis level. Information objects and implementation objects are designed on the basis of the OOIDEF0 function model in design level. The database is built and programming is accomplished in implementation level. In order to prove the consistency and efficiency of the proposed methodology, the PDM system for ship production is modeled and prototyped.

A Development of Pivoting Composite Wing for Mounting Kit (키트용 접이식 복합재 날개 개발)

  • The pivoting composite wing is developed for the kit to be mounted on the external stores. The wing has a pivoting structure for the installation to an aircraft and high aspect ratio to increase lift drag ratio. The wing needs to be light and have sufficient strength and stiffness to satisfy structural design requirements. The wing is designed with carbon fiber composite and the structural parts are integrated to reduce cost to manufacture. In order to verify the structural performances, the design load analysis and flight load survey, the static analysis and test, the ground vibration test and flutter analysis are performed. It is shown that the wing has sufficient structural strength and stiffness to satisfy the structural design requirements.

  • In existing technology planning, there is lack of considerations such as technology fusion, users' requirements of future, gap analysis between technology development and production, and industrialization process of development technology, that is, technology diffusion and technology transfer strategy. The most noticeable thing is that there is an obvious transition from supplier-centered to consumer-centered in the development of service or product because users' needs are getting a diverse and high level with the paradigm change of industry and society in the 21st century. So it is very important to design effectively a technology planning system under integration of R&D-production-sales system for satisfaction of customers' various choices. In this paper, we present considerations being required strategically in technology planning through analysis of mutual relationship and interface between technology planning, R&D and production system.

Abnormal Operation Analysis of the Wolsong 2,3,4 Heat Transport System (월성 2,3,4호기 열수송계통의 비정상 운전 해석)

  • The heat transport system transients of Wolsong 2,3,4 nuclear power plants were analysed during abnormal operating conditions. The compliance with requirements of AECB Regulatory Document R-77 for CANDU reactor was estimated. The analysis results showed that for each postulated accident the peak pressure values in the reactor headers are within the acceptance criteria given in ASME code requirements. The effect of LRV that is one of the overpressure protection device was very minor.

  • In general, an Architecture of a system is embodied as applied results of a requirement analysis of a system in early development phase. These efforts play a important role in analyzing and understanding a system considering operational, functional, and physical view and deriving a correct solution before developing the system. In this paper, the architecture of the Tube Transportation System(TTS) known as the new transportation system in Railway Domain is depicted by performance parameter has already developed. The existing performance parameters are shown by a variety of types with many meanings rather than types of general requirements refined. As these early performance parameters have analyzed and complemented to a level of requirement by requirement managers and other domain specialists, the architecture of the Tube Transportation System was developed systematically and then system requirements will be drawn up definitely. The presented architecture will provide a framework of developing a TTS and also offer an information in performance analysis of TTS.

  • In this study, the fundamental design procedure for the Smart UAV fuel supply system was set up, and the preliminary design was performed to meet the vehicle system requirements. The fuel system layout was determined through consideration of vehicle system requirements, and then fuel tank layout, design of components such as booster pump, jet pump, pipe, vent system, weight estimation, etc. were carried out.

  • 원자력발전소와 같은 공정제어(process control) 체계에서 운전원의 수행도는 인터페이스에서 인간과 기계간에 이루어지는 상호작용의 신뢰도를 결정할 뿐만 아니라, 전 체 체계의 효용을 좌우하는 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 이러한 체계의 설계에서는 감시제어(supervisory control) 기능의 설계요건 설정과 평가과정에서 체계의 주도자인 인간의 특성을 반영하여 직무수행의 신뢰도를 확보하는데 많은 노력을 기울고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인간-기계 체 계의 설계과정에서 운전원의 직무수행도를 보장하도록 직무요건(task requirements)을 도출 할 수 있는 방법론을 제시하고자 하였다. 직무요건을 파악하는 과정을 일반적으로 직무분석(task analysis)이라고 하는데, 적합한 직무분석 기법의 확보가 중요시된다. 본 연구에서는 우선, 기존의 직무분석 기법들을 조사하여 대표적인 기법들과 주요 기술 동향을 검토하였으며, 직무의 인지적인 측면 파악을 중심으로한 새로운 기법의 방향을 설정하였다. 설정된 방향에 따라 인지적인 측면의 분석을 강화하고 원자력발전소 운전원의 직무분석에 적합한 인지적 직무분석 기법의 기본체계 (basic framework)를 제안하였다.

  • The environment pollution is very important problem. Even at the field of architecture, a study about method of saving energy and constructing environment friendly building will have performed with activity. But trends of Korea housing market are changed that the height of building become more higher and the level of comfort going up. Therefore, these requirements force to increase the energy usage for indoor environmental controls. Thus, the purpose of this study is to reduce the heating and cooling energy requirements of High-rise Residential Buildings by the analysis of Energy Performance. From now on, we search improvement plan for the most efficient Energy Saving at present High-rise Residential Buildings.

  • Landfill Mining is becoming more widely used in many closed landfill sites in the world. Many of existing landfills will be excavated inevitably owing to building the clean environment with the new structures and developing the cities in cramped country. This paper aimed at the introducing the design technology of the trommel screen and its in-site applied performance of the trommel screen system through experiments , which system is under developing by one of the national project and the analysis results of influencing factors to the environment . The result of the theoretical estimation agrees well with the experimental data, so that the sorting system could be able to be applied with the requirements of the purpose of end-items. As a result of the analysis, any hazardous materials including heavy metals met the limitions of the criteria in this experiment. In geotechnical enngineering, it will. desireable to use the sorted soils mixing with another soils in accordance with the requirements of the usages.

  • In this study, unattended Light Rail Transit System (K-AGT) is a general-purpose standards safety requirements of IEC 62267 based System Engineering Process (SEP) was used. Functional analysis and physical architecting for each requirements through the vehicle was classified into sub-systems, design was analyzed in terms of SE. The analysis of the proposed system engineering process, unattended train operation (UTO), driverless train operation(DTO) design of the safety measures to be used as the basis is studied.
