  • We prove that $M_1\longrightarrow^f\;M_2$ is an injective representation of a quiver $Q={\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}$ if and only if $M_1\;and\;M_2$ are injective left R-modules, $M_1\longrightarrow^f\;M_2$ is isomorphic to a direct sum of representation of the types $E_l{\rightarrow}0$ and $M_1\longrightarrow^{id}\;M_2$ where $E_l\;and\;E_2$ are injective left R-modules. Then, we generalize the result so that a representation$M_1\longrightarrow^{f_1}\;M_2\; \longrightarrow^{f_2}\;\cdots\;\longrightarrow^{f_{n-1}}\;M_n$ of a quiver $Q={\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\cdots}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}$ is an injective representation if and only if each $M_i$ is an injective left R-module and the representation is a direct sum of injective representations.

  • We define injective and projective representations of a quiver $Q={\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}$. Then we show that a representation $M_1\longrightarrow[50]^{f1}M_2\longrightarrow[50]^{f2}M_3$ of a quiver $Q={\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}$ is projective if and only if each $M_1,\;M_2,\;M_3$ is projective left R-module and $f_1(M_1)$ is a summand of $M_2$ and $f_2(M_2)$ is a summand of $M_3$. And we show that a representation $M_1\longrightarrow[50]^{f1}M_2\longrightarrow[50]^{f2}M_3$ of a quiver $Q={\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}{\rightarrow}{\bullet}$ is injective if and only if each $M_1,\;M_2,\;M_3$ is injective left R-module and $ker(f_1)$ is a summand of $M_1$ and $ker(f_2)$ is a summand of $M_2$.

  • We define injective and projective representations of quivers with two vertices with n arrows. In the representation of quivers we denote n edges between two vertices as ${\Rightarrow}$ and n maps as $f_1{\sim}f_n$, and $E{\oplus}E{\oplus}{\cdots}{\oplus}E$ (n times) as ${\oplus}_nE$. We show that if E is an injective left R-module, then $${\oplus}_nE{\Longrightarrow[50]^{p_1{\sim}p_n}}E$$ is an injective representation of $Q={\bullet}{\Rightarrow}{\bullet}$ where $p_i(a_1,a_2,{\cdots},a_n)=a_i,\;i{\in}\{1,2,{\cdots},n\}$. Dually we show that if $M_1{\Longrightarrow[50]^{f_1{\sim}f_n}}M_2$ is an injective representation of a quiver $Q={\bullet}{\Rightarrow}{\bullet}$ then $M_1$ and $M_2$ are injective left R-modules. We also show that if P is a projective left R-module, then $$P\Longrightarrow[50]^{i_1{\sim}i_n}{\oplus}_nP$$ is a projective representation of $Q={\bullet}{\Rightarrow}{\bullet}$ where $i_k$ is the kth injection. And if $M_1\Longrightarrow[50]^{f_1{\sim}f_n}M_2$ is an projective representation of a quiver $Q={\bullet}{\Rightarrow}{\bullet}$ then $M_1$ and $M_2$ are projective left R-modules.

  • An approximate representation of discrete functions {f$_{i,j}\mid$|i, j=-1, 0, 1, …, N+1}in two variables by a fuzzy system is described. We use the cubic B-splines as fuzzy sets for the input fuzzification and spike functions as the output fuzzy sets. The ordinal number of f$_{i,j}$ in the sorted list is taken to be the out put fuzzy set number in the (i, j) th entry of the fuzzy rule table. We show that the fuzzy system is an exact representation of the cubic spline function s(x, y)=$\sum_{N+1}^{{i,j}=-1}f_{i,j}B_i(x)B_j(y)$ and that the approximation error S(x, y)-f(x, y) is surprisingly O($h^2$) when f(x, y) is three times continuously differentiable. We prove that when f(x, y) is a gray scale image, then the fuzzy system is a smoothed representation of the image and the original image can be recovered exactly from its fuzzy system representation when it is a digitized image.e.

  • Let q be a power of 16. Every polynomial $P\in\mathbb{F}_q$[t] is a strict sum $P=A^2+A+B^3+C^3+D^3+E^3$. The values of A,B,C,D,E are effectively obtained from the coefficients of P. The proof uses the new result that every polynomial $Q\in\mathbb{F}_q$[t], satisfying the necessary condition that the constant term Q(0) has zero trace, has a strict and effective representation as: $Q=F^2+F+tG^2$. This improves for such q's and such Q's a result of Gallardo, Rahavandrainy, and Vaserstein that requires three polynomials F,G,H for the strict representation $Q=F^2$+F+GH. Observe that the latter representation may be considered as an analogue in characteristic 2 of the strict representation of a polynomial Q by three squares in odd characteristic.

  • Let R be a ring and $\mathcal{Q}$ be a quiver. In this paper we give another definition of purity in the category of quiver representations. Under such definition we prove that the class of all pure injective representations of $\mathcal{Q}$ by R-modules is preenveloping. In case $\mathcal{Q}$ is a left rooted semi-co-barren quiver and R is left Noetherian, we show that every cotorsion flat representation of $\mathcal{Q}$ is pure injective. If, furthermore, R is $n$-perfect and $\mathcal{F}$ is a flat representation $\mathcal{Q}$, then the pure injective dimension of $\mathcal{F}$ is at most $n$.

  • Consider the AR(1) model $X_{t}$=$\beta$ $X_{t-1}$+$\varepsilon$$_{t}$ where $\beta$ < 1 is an unknown parameter to be estimated and {$\varepsilon$$_{t}$} denotes the independent and identically distributed error terms with unknown common distribution function F. In this paper, a strong representation for the least absolute deviation (LAD) estimate of $\beta$ in AR(1) models is obtained under some mild conditions on F. on F.F.

  • In this paper, we introduce the Fock representation $U^{F, M}$ of the Heisenberg group $H_R^(g, h)$ associated with a positive definite symmetric half-integral matrix $M$ of degree h and prove that $U^{F, M}$ is unitarily equivalent to the Schrodinger representation of index $M$.

  • This study investigated intergenerational transmission from mother's attachment representation to infant's attachment pattern and the associations between maternal attachment representation and their childhood experiences. Subjects were forty 12- to 15-month-old infants and their mothers. The Adult Attachment Interview (Main & Goldwyn, 1984) was used to assess mother's attachment representation. The Strange Situation (Ainsworth, 1978) was used to classify infant's attachment relationship. Mothers were classified as autonomous (F), dismissing (Ds), preoccupied (E), or unresolved/disorganized (Ud). Infants were classified as secure (B), insecure-avoidant (A), insecure-resistant (C), or insecure-disorganized (D). Exact A/B/C/D and Ds/F/E/Ud agreement was observed in 30 of 40 dyads(75%). Maternal childhood experiences were related to maternal attachment representation.
