The purpose of this study is to start from the recognition of the problem of why the sanctions of the international community could not indicate a great effect. In order to find answers to this question, this study focuses on China's aid to North Korea and analyzes the determinants of support for North Korea. Despite a tough international community's sanctions against North Korea, China has taken a dual stance on sanctions and support for North Korea. As for this dual attitude of China, this study approaches the internal and external situation of the support to the North with the rationale for the Two-level game theory. China's sanction against North Korea could be divided into two categories: external factors and domestic factors. These factors include strengthening supremacy in China, checking the US, playing a responsible role in China, securing resources in North Korea, sustaining stable growth in China, maintaining the legitimacy of China's socialist political system, and spreading the Beijing consensus. Based on the analysis of these factors, it could be expected that China's aid for North Korea will be official, informal, or continuous, and it will be difficult for the North to stop supporting North Korea or deteriorating North Korea- China relations.
This research was performed to review the marketing PR(MPR) strategy to build the brand image of Chungnam tourism for the inducement of foreign tourist. Because each local governments are looking for the industries of new growth power from the tourism industry recently, we applied the BI strategy of Chungnam tourism with expended BLC model and GRID model after we analyzed the variety of PR situation and tasks to build the Chungnam tourism's brand image in the competitive domestic and foreign tourism industry. In the result of the study, we set up the limited brand image of Chungnam tourism newly; also we derived a specific action plan. First of all, they need every possible means for Brand Awareness PR, Issue PR, Brand Loyalty PR, etc. depend on brand life cycle with the Chungnam's tourism service products. Secondly, for the each tourism service products, it is requiring to repositioning from present position (B, C, D area) to A area by MPR strategy. Finally, many additional MPR strategies should put in to support for building the brand image for the 'Tourism Chungnam'. The strategic SNS public relations are required with considerations of items that are necessarily need to have the reasons and circumstances for the new foreign tourists, so they can have experiences for the Chungnam Tourism. For the existing foreign tourists, we should keep to build relationship in order to give them trusts and to feel sympathy.
The objectives of this study were to assess the current practices of implementing selective menus and to identify the perception of foodservice manager and customer on selective menus for hospital foodservice would be fulfilled. Two types of questionnaires for hospital foodservice managers as well as customers were developed. Questionnaires were distributed to managers of 8 hospital foodservice department and 317 customers of patient meal service, and 6 managers and 139 customers were responded. The data were analyzed using frequency and t-test. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : 1. In hospital foodservice operations, the selective menu pattern was first introduced by L hospital on June 1994 in Seoul and recently 8 hospitals were currently implementing selective menus. But using rate of selective menus by patients were relatively low(23.2%), ranging from 15% to 32%. 2. Customers' needs for selective menus were rated significantly higher in the group of patients(4.24/5) who chose the selective menus than their counterpart(3.88/5). 3. The main reason not choosing selective menus was identified by patients as 'not knowing the implementation of selective menus'(52.6%), inconvenient factors in using selective menus for customer were also identified as orders : 'lack of nutrition information on menu item'(38.6%), 'complexity in procedure'(29.8%), and 'lack of menu variety'(26.3%). However managers considered 'managerial burden' and 'limited human resource' as main obstacle to implement the selective menu pattern. 4. Customers indicated 'variety of menu', 'active public relations' as effective methods to enhance using rate of selective menus, however, foodservice manager indicated 'variety of menu'(50%), 'improvement of quality'(16.7%), and 'simplicity in procedure'(16.7%). Based on the results of this study, following recommendations have been suggested : Managers in patient meal service should recognize customer needs for implementing selective menus and pay more attention in implementing selective menus and activating this program. For more effective implementation of activating selective menu program, the foodservice department should establish action plan on 'active publicity work', 'simplicity in procedures', 'variety of menu' and 'improvement of quality'. Especially nutrition informations on meals should be provided for customers in order to elevate participation rate.
The purpose of this study was to investigate correlations between entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial success. For that purpose, the study carried out a survey among the students of Graduate School of Business & Entrepreneurship, the students of small business start-up education, and general people and reviewed the previous studies and literature with a focus on the characteristics and capabilities of entrepreneurial intention. The investigator identified the characteristic factors of entrepreneurial intention including entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial success, education, and mentor, set a research model and hypothesis for their relations with entrepreneurial success, and empirically analyzed and tested them. The empirical analysis results were summarized as follows: first, entrepreneurial methods and abilities of the variables of entrepreneurial intention turned out to have significant impacts on entrepreneurial success. Second, corporation determination, external factor, and internal factor of the variables of entrepreneurship turned out to have significant effects on entrepreneurial success. Third, re-education after success turned out to be the most influential entrepreneurial education factor on entrepreneurial success, which points to a need for constant education after setting up a business. Fourth, practical entrepreneurial mentors had the greatest influences on entrepreneurial success, being followed by successful entrepreneurial mentors and socially successful mentors in the order. One can have a vision to see a further future of his or her business and promote its growth by forming relationships with those who have more knowledge about the line of business and richer experiences in the field. The subjects overwhelmingly had a positive personality, which suggests that those who try to start a business tend to be positive and considerate of others.

The exponential and power law functionally graded material(FGM) theory is reformulated considering the refined shear and normal deformation theory. This theory has ability to capture the both normal deformation effect and exponential and power law function in terms of the volume fraction of the constituents for material properties through the plate thickness. Navier's method has been used to solve the governing equations for all edges simply supported plates on Pasternak elastic foundation. Numerical solutions of vibration analysis of FGM plates are presented using this theory to illustrate the effects of power law index and 3-D theory of exponential and power law function on natural frequency. The relations between 3-D and 2-D higher-order shear deformation theory are discussed by numerical results. Further, effects of (i) power law index, (ii) side-to-thickness ratio, and (iii) elastic foundation parameter on nondimensional natural frequency are studied. To validate the present solutions, the reference solutions are discussed.
The purpose of this study is to examine the Korean social workers' level of social work values and advocacy(attitudes and strategies) and to verify the relations among social work education, social work advocacy and social work values by examining whether social work education influences social work advocacy and social work values, and whether social work values affect social work advocacy. Further, this study wishes to confirm not only the direct effect that social work education has on social work advocacy, but also how social work education indirectly influences social work advocacy through social work values as a mediator. The research of this study was conducted on 242 social workers who have obtained social worker licenses and are currently working in the community centers. As survey tools, this study utilized social work advocacy attitudes, social work advocacy strategies, outcomes of social work education, social work values, self-esteem and locus of control. Collected data were analyzed by using SPSS/PC+ 12.0 for descriptive analysis, Pearson's correlation, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression. The research hypothesis was established according to the analysis method of the testing mediation of Baron & Kenny (1986) in order to examine whether social work values intervene between social work education and social work advocacy. The results of the hypothesis test confirm that social work values on the social level serve as a mediator variable.
This study focuses on the problem of feminization of poverty that is formed within family relations. In order to approach this question, this study analyses the process of becoming poor through the life stories of ten woman are now heads of a household. There are differences among the study participants in the process of becoming a member of a low-income class. I have classified them into two groups depending on the routes they are led into the low-income class; one is the continuation of poverty group, and the other is the new members of the low-income class group. The continuation of poverty group is the case where they have been poor since their childhood and are still poor in their adulthood. The new members of the low-income class group is the case where you have become a low-income class sometime around divorce. The difference of the groups are related to the differences of the ways the power relationships work within a family. Women head of a household are prone to poverty because of the discrimination in formation, distribution and control of resources in their original family and their family formed by marriage. The norm of male breadwinner worked as a discrimination device. But this kind of discrimination device showed differences in their workings according to class. The continuation of poverty group experienced exclusion in the gendered responsibility of supporting the family and maintaining the family, whereas the other group experienced exclusion through the gendered nature of the distribution and control of resources. By showing that the presupposition of discussions on the poverty of woman head of a household is false, these findings challenge the existing view that as long as 'The Family' is maintained women will not be poor.
The purpose of this research paper is to study the characteristics of Huang Yunseok's sijo and it's implications for his poetic intentions. Huang Yunseok's sijo is didactic in its presentation of facts and ethical lessons. The two main facts it presents are royal favors and his clan's pride. Royal favors concern. for example, encouragement of the king, the king's birthday and deathday, and securing a government position by the king's order. His clan's pride concerns, for example, the geographically wonderful place of Huang Yunseok's ancestor's tomb, his ancestor's great conduct, his clan's beautiful tradition, his birth place, and his birth dream. The main content of the ethical lessons concerns cultivation of the human mind and practicing Confucian ethics. Examples of the former describe the purpose of Confucian study, the ethical doctrine that human being's inborn nature is good, the character of the human mind, and the method of cultivating the human mind. Examples of the latter describe the moral rules to govern the Five Human Relations, separation between husband and wife, and discrimination between males and females. The poetic intention of Huang Yunseok's sip consists of political and economic self-promotion and theoretical devotion to Confucian ideology. Proud of his educated, high Confucian clan, he tries to get self-promotion politically and economically by vowing loyalty to the king. He implies devotion to the Confucian ideology through his description of the practice of the Confucian moral rules, the clinging to traditional Neo-Confucianism, and his insistence on the Neo-Confucian theory that all human beings and animals are the same in their original nature. In conclusion, the didactic character of Huang Yunseok's sip stems from his intention to promote himself politically and economically and his theoretical devotion to Confucian ideology. The way of indicative expression originates from the didactic character of Huang Yunseok's sijo.
In order to analyze the consciousness of the general public toward wetland conservation issues, three hundred people, chosen to reflect a representative sample of the issues, including the general public and stakeholders of wetlands in Korea, were questioned for a one month period from September 5th, 2007. With regard to a question about the current level of wetland conservation in Korea, only 9.7 percent of the survey group answered that it has been adequately conserved. This suggests that there is a strong need to reform existing policies and management frameworks pertaining to wetland conservation. While the stakeholders recognized the public values derived from wetlands very well, 58.8 percent of the general public did not understand the values at all. This suggests that increased and systematic education and public relations programs for wetlands and their public values should be launched, especially for the general public. With regard to the effects brought about by levels of wetland conservation, 83.2 percent of the survey group answered that wetland conservation was very important for both the natural environment and development of Korea, while 63.5 percent of the group answered that it was very important for themselves and their family. Surprisingly, 85.1 percent of the survey group said a wetland should be conserved, even though there are no direct economic benefits from doing so. With all these survey results, the general public in Korea thinks that wetlands are an important and precious public asset which should be passed to the next generation.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relations among mathematics teachers' beliefs, classroom norms and discourse, and equity issues in mathematics classrooms. In order to achieve this purpose, three teachers who work in the same school were analyzed. The analysis revealed that the participating teachers' beliefs about mathematics teaching and learning and about their students' abilities and motivation influenced the establishment of classroom norms and discourses that defined what students needed to do to be successful mathematics learners. Also, classroom norms and discourse affected the development of students' identity and power and the level of equity in the classroom.
